I’d love it if over time we saw him getting stronger and doing techniques that rivaled or surpassed guy’s by the great ninja war, like slowing showing him mastering the eight gates, or drunken style or combining both for the most powerful, unpredictable taijutsu to ever be unleashed. Heck if he’d died after killing Madara which’d still leave Kaguya for Sasuke and Naruto it’d be a fitting conclusion for his arc and show him achieving his goal of becoming a splendid ninja with only taijutsu

Lee almost beat Gaara who is the epitome of privileged ninja techniques having an invincible dead mother sand shield and almost limitless chakra and Lee nearly killed him but the writer had to have Naruto beat him cause they had to have an anime moment about, "How could you know how I feel..." Responded to by "I know how you feel because we're the same....". Then he heals from a nigh impossible to recover from injury just to have a funny spoof on Jackie Chan's drunken master. Then he is relegated to being a eternal joke for the rest of the series where he is allowed to have a son in Boruto but no mention of any mother so he spawned the kid like a sea sponge and they are just jokes. They have Lee's moment to Guy since Guy fatally wonder Madara in the great ninja war. While I love Guy, that's was Lee's moment. The end.

When will Lee reach Gai's level? I mean, Gai created his own style with Asa Kujaku, Hirudora, Sekizou, and Yagai (Yoruho'o too if you consider the games). But Lee so far has only been using the Konoha Renge, the 8-Gates formal style, not even creating his own.
Naruto Clash of Ninja Revolution Special. It's japan exclusive but the previous games are available in the US. It is by far the best naruto fighting game series in terms of mechanics, and the fact that it was Nintendo exclusive only makes it more impressive. It's basic mechanics are simple and easy to learn, but it's surprisingly hard to master. It's such a shame that it never really managed to reach the end of Naruto. I would've loved to see something like Obito or Madara.
