Finally .... my daughter has the same texture and it’s hard trying to find something to put in her hair. Lotion was my go to when she was a baby. And then I put some oil. No grease. Her hair is thin and loose curled. Thanks for your video.

So my baby has very fine hair thin hair she is 5 months old.... Should i try using the aloe vera gel to help her hair grow?
Please help! I am a mom of a biracial daughter I am doing my best to learn. 1) How do you keep your baby’s curls defined after during sleeptime? My daughter is 18 months and her hair will look like this at night and when she wakes the roots still look moisturized but the ends are all frizzed out :/ 2) do you recommend a bonnet this young? I am nervous about it slipping down or suffocating her 3) I usually add water in the morning and then add curl cream to help try to define her ends should I not use water and try a daily moisturizer spray instead? Sorry for all the questions thank you so much for your time.
To keep your baby’s curls defined I would recommend you put four big twists in her hair at night. The bonnet would definitely help and putting one on her is a decision you have to be comfortable with. Do not do it if you are not comfortable. 🙂. Lastly, depending on how high porosity/low porosity her hair is, you may want to incorporate some Aloe Vera juice and gel in her hair care as a baby safe leave in. It will help her ends from frizzing up over time by helping her hair keep moistened longer. Hope that helps ☺️
Melissa I’m biracial as well and my son has hair like mine. his hair is really dry and when he takes a nap it just messes up again
I would stop using the water that dries the hair out and gives it a frizzy look😫 I used a grease/cream on my daughters hair called “Liv” and it worked wonders!! You can buy it at your local hair store.
Same issue here .. also 18 months old and after nap time or sleeping the back of her hair will get frizzy and matted . I got her silk sheets thinking similar to a silk cap . Her hair is also too short to put in a bun or something to protect
Like @Lisa Diaz I was going to suggest using silk/satin pillows if you're not comfortable using a bonnet just yet. My son is not yet sleeping on a pillow so I want to buy some satin and tuck it on top of his cotton bedsheet to help retain moisture

What did you use to help grow her hair in the back? My daughter has the same balding area and the back is really brittle and dry..I’m hoping to find what works for use without using too many products in her hair
I used jamaican castor oil for my daughter's hair back in the day. It worked wonders. Now she has too much hair that it takes me a couple of hours to detangle and brush all of it after washing.
