- UAW Local 2300 members at Cornell University help the university run, but their wages haven’t kept up and they’re struggling to make ends meet.
Cornell has amassed a nearly $10 billion endowment, which has seen 43% growth since 2021. Tuition’s up. The endowment’s up. But workers haven’t seen their fair share.
If you’re a Local 2300 member, make sure to sign up for bargaining updates today.

Over the past 4 years my Social Security Retirement payment has risen about 17.5% to cover inflation - and you know the government is not overly generous. Cornell proposed paying its workers an increase equal to about 17% by the end of 5 years, That means workers' pay has already taken the huge 17% hit, and Cornell appears to be saying, " You'll get that 17% back by the end of 5 years. Just wait, please." Meanwhile inflation continues, food prices rising, housing costs rising, cars you need to get to work are more expensive, and Cornell's invesments are making tidy returns, "Just wait, please," ?
NO !!!!!!!
I hope this gets viewed, and these workers are acknowledged and fairly compensated for their hard work. This is so wrong!
We are not compensated with fair and equal pay.
Good luck in the negotiations UAW !
I think one of the most important points she made was during covid the workers were on the front line while admin stayed home. they treat us like we're disposable when they prove that they were optional

I'm retired living in assisted Apt Medicare a&b type 2 and a heart condition , no car 🤯
Cornell brings in half a billion and needs to compensate the workers who ARE the backbone of daily operations in Ithaca‼️
A minimum of $60 an hour should be on the negotiation table PLUS, the same benefit package as the Administration and Professors; INCLUDING dedicated parking close these worker job sites‼️‼️ ‼️ ‼️ ‼️
60/hour you must be higher than the clock tower lol.
You will lose your jobs just like the auto workers have , this economy is a tail spin the American consumer is maxed out , the train done run out of track.
Why is the UAW making it hard for African American Union members to vote at union hall. They require ID to vote at union hall, disgusting.
@@captainkrunch6372 who goes around without ID these days ?
