It's simple, women want to flaunt wht they have, live above their means and trying to keep up with the joneses. social media is a hell of a drug. Go watch Dave Ramsey and learn how to save and get out of debt.
I'm in my 30s and I am not happy with being a teacher at all. And I am leaving the teaching profession for good I am not making a living with being a teacher. I am looking into the healthcare field. I am going into being a medical assistant and then being a LVN. I enjoy getting my nails done I spend a certain amount plus I am not out here dropping money on handbags that cost 2k. I am barely making enough money to even afford a Gucci, Louis vuitton handbag. Some people I know who have those kinds of handbags are working a job that pays way better than a teacher salary or they have a boyfriend or a husband that has the money to treat them to those kind of things. I am not about to pressure my boyfriend or lead my boyfriend into debt with getting me a handbag that cost 2k. I prefer to change careers instead of trying to look rich and i'm in so much debt that doesn't make any sense at all. People really need to stop being driven by social media and just start doing things that you can afford. I salute to the Nurses that are working hard. I am striving to be a pediatric nurse someday or a school nurse. But I heard school nurses don't make much. Not sure how true that is. I'll see for myself when I become a Nurse.
I believe it’s more psychological, a lot of stress in nursing…Without a loving caring family to support and surround you people tend to spend to make up for some kind of internal lack or hating the job
The truth is, the only reason I spent the way I did in my early nursing years was because I didn’t have debt from nursing school. After realizing I was spending too recklessly, I sold my Lexus SUV and started making better decisions with my money. This is so true.

Zero financial savvy, gluttony, and the need to look better than your peers. It’s usually the younger, single ones. They don’t work extra shifts, they are on trips every time they get more than 3 days off. Usually works out for them in the end because some dude marries them and takes on those credit card debts. It inevitably ends in divorce and you see them switch to real estate or MLM.
@@Zizzarazzo this is very sad and negative view. It’s important to have balance between enjoying life and saving. 50% of marriages in America end in divorce. So it’s not just the younger single ones.

It caters to instant gratification. Nursing is one of those professions where you can get started making decent money with just a two year degree-and you can build on that initial certification. Need more money? Work overtime, because everybody is short-staffed. Hourly rate not high enough? Add another two years and become an RN/BSN. Want to be in the six figures easy? Go be a travel nurse. People get stuck in that mentality that they can spend all they want and just work more hours to cover it. That doesn't last forever.
Are you maxing out your retirement accounts? You should be maxing out your IRA and 401K. Those reduce your tax liability. It drives me up the wall when I think about how much money I left for the feds because I wasn’t maxing out my retirement accounts.
Yeah taxes are not really great for the working class. The best think you can do is max out your Roth 401k so that you when you retire, you won’t have to pay tax on that money
Nurses earn about $100K in NYC after a few years of experience. It's a decent paying middle-class job. You're not living lavishly, but you can afford to pay your rent or save up to buy a home in a nearby city. You'll be able to go out occasionally and do brunch once in a while. But you just can't be reckless.
I see quite a bit of female nurses taking care of an d fully financing their man’s lifestyle. Not to mention they may be taking care of their family if its here or abroad. I think that is the biggest reason for people their late 30s early 40s.
My female nurse friend always asks me for money lol. Shes been in nursing field for 7 years and dont have anything saved or invested. She buys expensive chanel bags, goes on vacation, and drives a new BMW.
The travel is what has gotten out of control in our generation. I understand a trip or two a year but I am seeing folks on vacation once a month. If you can afford it great, but if you are putting aside your responsibilities to travel you need a reality check.
My take away from this is being a Nurse doesn’t put one above professionals from other industries. You still have to watch how you spend otherwise you stay broke.
I can sum this up easy. They make enough ot to be broke abd are too busy trying to impress people that don't gove a shit to begin with instead of investing. Learn how budget, learn how to set financial goals and be consistent, learn how to live below your means, and learn how to live for yourself and god instead for man.
It comes down to how you live and how you make your money work for you. I drive a 10 year old Jeep, which I just replaced the tires on. My purse is from Tarjeeeeeee Heyyyyyy! I do get a monthly massage and 2 pedicures and my hair done- it's what I splurge on. My reusable water bottle is from a health fair I went too and it holds the same 40 oz. of water like the expensive ones. I take vacations, buy books, I have pets, I like steak and shrimp now and then, and I like a cute house, but it's within a budget. I live in a 1400 square foot home. I upgraded a few things but nothing over the top. I rid myself of debt 15 years ago and never looked back.
I dated a nurse in Virginia she kept a simple 1 bedroom apartment with a toyota corolla. I worked a corporate job did well but was blown away at her bank receipt that had her balance of over $57,000 at 30 years old. Being in healthcare management i've dated plenty of nurses but most live beyond their means she was the exception
Live below your means and always save for a rainy day. I’m a nurse in CA and have no debt, cars and houses are all paid off. Still find it difficult to splurge when I break it down to how many’s to work to pay it off.
Yeah I’m not impressed by nurses. There are so many on dating apps it’s crazy. And when I was taking care of my father at one of the supposedly best cancer research hospitals in the country, they seemed lackluster. Even when he was on hospice the nurses felt like they had not people skills. Not saying their job isn’t exhausting but let’s stop pretending like their jobs are heroic.
Nurses are not rich. They are comfortable but they can put themselves in a position to be rich if they invest all that hard work money into the future and live below their means.
For one, these ladies work some horrible hours, second if it's registered nurse they make crazy mad money, they just can't really enjoy it and here's why the trauma the restlessness if that career is insane... that's a small sight opinion, imagine, what we don't know ,,..... ty for your service,.yet remember you chose to be a helper to humanity
Was in a relationship with a Nurse years ago. She made three times what I made at the time and was still broke. Women have no sense of accountability in their lives. Her and the nurses she hung out with all had issues. She financially ruined me. Glad I got out of it.
Wow you guys got it made. Im a little jealous honestly because Not even hard labor jobs in male dominated fields pay as much as some nurse positions. Definitely explains why I see so many women driving new Audi’s and BMW’s. But I can guarantee they ain’t saving a drop!
weird I got this. I was dating a nurse when my HVAC company was starting to takeoff. that girl could spend some money, nearly financially hurt me. first time ever had a break up with a girl because she was too expensive
So when do you actually live. You can have be job and be much healthier mentally, physically and financially than a person with multiple jobs. It’s what goes out more than what’s coming in. Work smart not hard. It might be mind blowing that some people can improve their earning rapidly with one job.

@@ladyelle700right because you have to pay for your house back home. Then what about transportation and food?? The current pay rates are not covering that.
One of my biggest mistakes is i stopped tracking my money lol. Also i don’t think one has a live a frugal lifestyle but yes don’t live outside of your means either
Lifestyle choices make all the difference when you have a decent income. Cooking meals at home, eating in, packing your lunches rather than getting a bite to eat out and going for fancy coffee every day can save thousands of dollars a month. Paying cash for a used car rather than purchasing a brand new car too. Save, save, save. The stress of debt is not worth it.
I’m 25 years old and I’ve been a nurse for 3 years. I was definitely trying to buy my luxury car in the beginning but I’m cool with driving my 2011 Camry til it breaks. Now it’s like there’s pressure to go to the NP route for the money. Are you able to talk about that pipeline?
Before you try to be an NP for the money, I have a few questions for you: are you using a Roth 401k, and are you at least putting the company contribution match? Is your 401k investing a fund that tracks the S&P 500? Do you have a separate Roth IRA account so you can invest tax-free? Do you have any student loans or credit card debt you need to take care of? Do you have a six-month emergency savings? Just going to school to make more money is not always the answer. If you don’t have a retirement plan, you might end up slaving longer than you think. I’m not saying you shouldn’t go to school to be an NP but I would try to plan your retirement first or go find a local financial advisor before you take on more loans for school
As a patient recently I noticed nurses were trying to out do each other carrying fancy merchandise bags and custom sneakers all squaking about going to their home in Bahamas. Fyi that's a timeshare honey.
This type of thing isn't unusual at all, and a primary reason why our people have not, and unlikely to regain lost and stolen wealth...we are primarily "Spenders". The first thing far too many will start doing when they get a chance to move up, whether single or as a couple, is start that status spending to flaunt and floss to the masses. I call it the "big house, luxury vehicle and expensive tangibles" imagery...everything that can be seen, worn and flossed.
Nurses are the first group of workers I ever worked with whereby their salary far outstrips their education level and long term financial planning skills. It's like the Beverly Hillbillies when you hear many of their stories.
Because they spend all their money on daily $20 lunches, $50 dinners, $15 McDonald’s breakfast, $10 Starbucks, luxury apartments, and 80K Mercedes. Not to mention to tri-annual vacations.
I raised 3 children and held down extended family members when SHTF in 2008 as a nurse. Didn't drive a BMW, Mercedes or Lexus. I didn't worry about designer anything or, try to impress anyone, or try to keep up with anyone. If you have your priorities straight, nursing can be good.
I tried to tell all the young nurses to start investing now. They are clueless as to what I'm talking about. Some rather keep their money is a savings account. nurses should never be broke. We make more thatn the average person. Financial investment should be taught in nursing schools.
umm the men in the comments are so mad women who work as healthcare professionals won't date them. I've seen 10 comments under your video with incels crying about nurses not speaking to them. This new generation of men is cooked. Anyways I agree with all your speaking points in the video and u look lovely 😍 💗 💖

My friend makes 45/hour and has the nerve to act like her pay is crap. It’s a great example of having a spending problem, not an income problem.
Listennnnn this is what I have been saying. I am about to start posting my come up journey. I have been building off of youtube. Sharing mostly everything on instagram. But it's time I help the people. Nurses are keeping themselves in debt and as slaves to the hospital systems because they are buying ish they don't need. Buy the assets first. Let them pay for the things you want
Yes post more! People need to know. Budgeting is so hard but it’s necessary.
It's simple, women want to flaunt wht they have, live above their means and trying to keep up with the joneses. social media is a hell of a drug. Go watch Dave Ramsey and learn how to save and get out of debt.
Yes!!! Think twice about getting that car, especially if you don't need it.

I’m an RN now but i started nursing as a lpn. My first 6 months as a lpn i was enjoying them checks because it was the first time my checks were income tax amount. My first check was like 2700 after taxes because i picked up OT i wanted to learn as fast as i could i was doing LTC after i paid bills for the month I still had 1100 now this was 2012 so inflation wasn’t what it is today. I remember waiting till my next check which was around 2000 after taxes i still had 1100 from my first check i burn 1000 in one weekend. New clothing, Jordan’s and i ate with fellow classmates at a 5 star restaurant i was enjoying it so much in 6 month only had 2k saved up im like wait I should have more but i decided to be more save minded first
Zero financial savvy, gluttony, and the need to look better than your peers.

Can we talk about TAXES. I gross a decent amount but what I bring home is a totally different ballgame!
Great point
She can trade her car in for a cheaper car that takes her from point A to point B.

Im proud of you buying an Accord. Smart woman. You’ll be fine

@@_QueenBell you are so right. & budgeting is key !

Those scrubs are super expensive and I have seen nurses with fresh new ones all the time.
