DJI Mini 3 - Which Kit and Accessories to Buy

- This is a DJI Mini 3 buying guide for which kit and accessories you need. Is Fly More kit worth it, is the DJI RC smart controller worth it, and what you can save money on.
Only two things I REALLY insist on are
1. Extra Battery
2. ND Filters (ND 16 being most important)
ND filters you only need if you want to pursue video as a hobby and get quality stuff.
You WANT 1 extra battery (not 5, just 1) so that one battery can charge in the car while you are flying with the other.
The DJI RC you will here me say a million times, it makes the experience MUCH better when you don't have a phone involved. No phone battery or notifications to worry about, no app updates bugging you, just a nice big bright dedicated screen.
Turn on drone, turn on remote, fly away. Makes me rub my nipples with delight.
**If you're going to get maxed out kit with all accessories, just get a used Mini 3 pro lol. If you want to pursue drones as a hobby you will have a massive ceiling with that drone before you outgrow it and need something with more features.
FOR PHOTOGRAPHY the Mini 3 and Mini 3 Pro are basically the same so if you are only taking still photos don't worry. Same sensor, same photos.
PRICE:
$469 Drone Only (incase you already have a DJI controller)
$559 Drone with controller
$699 Drone with RC smart controller
$720 Fly More combo
$860 Fly More with DJI RC smart controller

Having the remote with the built in screen makes me fly more. Not having to fumble with my phone and get everything plugged in and opened is absolutely amazing. Not sure about the new RC-N1 remote specifically, but on my Mini 1 after I upgraded my phone it wouldn't fit in the remote holder anymore.
am I only one who prefers the RC-N1? cheaper and huge battery life? internet connection/quick loading maps? using super bright still compatible phones? actual antennas = better range? saving pictures/video right off your phone while cached is still good enough to share on social media?
yes? I'll see myself out
@@Matanumi got the air 2s a couple days ago. I had the mini 2 so I just used the same remote. Got a tablet with 4g capability and a tablet mount. Big bright tablet screen. I have no need for the in display remotes. I 100% agree with you.
Total bs
Question: is it possible to fly a iflight protek r25 without the fpv goggles and remote only?
🤣🤣 "even when they try to change the subject" I had to play that part 3 more times. I just love your dry delivery 😁
I loved the “the end” hahaha! Thanks for the info!! :D
LOVED the "The End" FANTASTIC
You're videos are the best, you just get right to the point. I'm a professional filmmaker and I just want the meat and potatoes immediately. Thank you!
Your content is well structured, and informative. Thanks mate!
I got the mini 2, first drone this thanksgiving....but after research, really thought a mini 3 pro was just the better option and more future proof...so a week later, returned m2 and ordered m3p. Got the fly more kit+, and RC controller, with ND filters, lanyard, 30w charger brick (mp3 didnt come with any) and a nice hardcase, rc screen protector, prop guards. It also came with landing pad. Loving it.
Nice! Can you share the links to your landing pad kit?
Short, concise, love the content. I recently bought the Mini 3 Pro. I have much to learn but man what a nice little package.
I totally agree with spending just a little more and getting the DJI RC controller. Great video, thanks for sharing.
I ordered the Mini Pro 3 after LOTS of research and it's arriving this week. Also getting the DJI care refresh as I have no experience.
Thank you for this great information in your presentation.
Excellent "The End"
Please upload more! You are my favorite youtuber :)
I have the mini 3 pro, but thank for not waisting my time and making a video that is to the point.
BR
I have a mini 3 pro and Im very happy.
Brutally honest as always! My Mavic 2 (bought it just before the 2S came out) drowned, so I have a spare remote, but I will buy the mini3 pro with the smart remote to try dual pilot.
I'm at a point now I just watch these videos for the pure entertainment value 😂
The smart remote is probably the best investment.
the cool thing is that there is no difference between the mini 3 and the mini 3 pro regarding photography with the 48mp update for the mini 3
4:25 **as I sip my coffee obsessively watching RUclips videos about which drone I should buy**
Would you recommend the air 2s with the smart controller over the mini 3 pro & the smart controller?
DJI RC is really nice. I personally like it alot.
I need to say it that the range of DJI RC is not really impressive.
So far i've been able to reach 1.5 km on a good day before i started losing the video connection with my Mini 3 Pro.
Is there any way to boost the DJI RC's range?
4:21 he talking about me I woke my girl out of her sleep laughing
I've just recently purchased the Mini 3 Pro with the 'smart' remote. Upgraded from my Phantom 4 Pro + and can't get over how small this thing is. (That's what she said, right?) 🤣 Makes my P4P+ look like a helicopter!?
I also have a DJI Spark, now it would have been super cool if the Spark connected to the Mini Pro3 smart remote, but alas it doesn't 🥺.
I’ve had the mini 2 for three years now. I don’t use it as much as I would like, but it’s time for mini 3 pro! I was gonna skip the remote, but now that you mention it, my phone battery is always dying, which is a problem. So that will now be solved!! Also, what are your thoughts on insurance?
Hi bro hope you are doing great today. I just came across your channel and you are indicating that you provide drone courses. How can I get my self into this noble course since I'm in Accra Ghana west Africa. I'm Welbeck a beginner drone pilot. I just received my mini 3 last week. Hope to hear from you soon.
Stay blessed and safe all the time Amen 🙏👍
this is the "Mini 2 is still a value option worth considering" post. Mini SE if your a real cheapo who wants "entry level quality" and doesn't want to spend the money...
but yea like Alex said before, don't want to spend 300? go buy a holy stone or a toy, fly it,crash it and never use it again. See this in the forums all the time- people ask the same questions every single week and the answers hardly ever change.
What’s the best place or site to buy a used drone?
can you elaborate a bit more on why nd 16 is most useful? i’m not a high level photog, just wanna have something to use on sunny days but having 4 will drive me nuts picking one each time. isn’t 1/8 enough of a reduction (ND8?)
i see people saying ND filters purpose is to get narrower depth of field (focus) …. is that really relevant for a drone??
Hey, Cant find ND Filter option for mini3 pro. Does mini3 ND filter work for Mini3 Pro?
Can the smart remote work with Mini 2 SE?
Do i not need a sd card
And do i need nd filters.
Do i get everything i choose without fly more combo.
Do i buy the nd filters and sd card on another website
Yes🥰🥰👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏
Is there a certain brand of ND filters that you would recommend or does that part matter as much?
Doesn’t matter too much but I use Skyreat, no reason why I just always have
Now im trying to compare SD cards. ScanDisk Extreme Pro vs ScanDisk Extreme
I am looking at this mini three pro and the prices that you show on these videos are so much less than what I’m finding it for in my research. Where are you getting your prices?
QUESTION: will batteries for a Mini 1 work in a Mini 3 (or 3 pro)? Cause I have like three.
The short answer is no.
I have an original Mini, and it didn't impress me to the point I haven't flown it in well over a year. Maybe the Mini 3 with the RC remote would get me excited again.
or...maybe it won't?
@@Matanumi Maybe. It's a mystery.
Please am from Ghana how can I get one
4:07 DJI Mini SE?
Xin chào nguoi ban than yeu thanhyou ban chia sẻ video rất hữu ích cho moi nguoi cung sem chúc ban thanh cong trong cuộc sống
RC controller will be compatible with the future DJI drones! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Here comes the RC2 with occusync 4
😅😅😅😅😂😂
Mini3pro is the drone you only need, forget the half-baked mini3
Do you really need extra props if you never crash your drone?
Sometimes accidents happen, even when you aren't flying. It's better to have a few spare props rather than not.
It`s better to buy RC controller, much easer to use tan my mini 2 with simple controller
0:04 Hey Andrew Tate, I didn’t know you had a drone channel. 😊

I got my first drone a few months back and have been enjoying your videos, thanks for all the information. Now I'm running into the problem of Storage space and the transferring of a photo and video through dji, my phone, google drive, then my computer. any organizational tips?
