Hi Jim. Aneesa here. Firstly, I am very grateful that what I was able to put together has been of use to you in your coming to understanding what this story of Bangtan and ARMY is all about. That was the whole goal, was to help those who knew very little to nothing think just a little more about their lives and how they interact with the world and the cultures within it. I’m grateful that this episode in particular seems to have hit you in a different and enlightening way. I obviously can’t take credit for Yve’s amazing TEDTalk on fangirls, but I’m glad I was able to frame it all together in a way that was compelling to watch. Secondly, I know I’m still working on what I have planned, but I wanted to say right now that I feel so lucky to have someone like yourself react to the work I’ve done. You’re the only reactor I’ve come across that really ended up using the series in the way I intended: coming in with little to no knowledge but being open to learning and discovering. Most other reactors react to anything and everything BTS, and so most start my series with some information coming in. But the series wasn’t catered to those types of people. I do wait for your reactions on Sundays and they really give me a great perspective as a narrative storyteller whether or not what I’ve done really worked and was effective. Since I’m an ARMY, and as most of the viewers are also ARMY, it’s hard to tell without incredibly biased opinions on whether or not I have done well. I really do thank you for being open to learning and understanding and having your views questioned, because as a society, and as the music industry is constantly changing, that’s the only way we’ll ever make progress. All the best, Aneesa
Aneesa, I love you. thank you for this well put masterpiece docuseries. we are grateful and felt so inspired by this. I also cried so hard when I watch this episode.
It was interesting reading about the purpose of your series. I’m glad Jim’s reactions (which I have really enjoyed) hit the mark. I’m not part of the target audience of people with little to no knowledge of BTS (I’ve consumed a lot of content in the 2 years since I became a fan, though there is still a lot more to catch up on!). I just wanted to let you know that as a relatively new fan, I have also learnt so much from your series - about BTS, about the experience and perspective of people who were their fans in the early days, and about the connection between BTS and Army. Your series has been a highlight of all the BTS-related content I’ve seen, and I have watched each episode many times. Your approach has been thoughtful, the editing fantastic, and the time and effort you’ve put in clearly immense. Thank you.
BTS has never been ashamed of its female fans. BTS never looked down on ARMY because they are largely female. BTS treated us with the utmost respect for our individuality. For BTS we are individuals irrespective of our gender, sexual preference, or anything. And Joon changing the question from "crazy fan experience" to "most memorable fan experience" is one of the reasons why I admire Joon so much. These are nuanced misogyny that men don't pick up on, but Joon does. And he would not let anyone step on us just because the media try to make us "crazy females, not capable of rational thinking". He stood for us from time to life calling out to people on live. If we are fiercely defending BTS, they are doing it too.
Jimin is right, other groups work hard, other groups are close, other groups connect with fans, other groups have songs about life. But they seven, just like bang pd once said, have a special Synergy. It may seem a little bit cringe to say this, but i truly believe it was fate that brought them together. They are like the protagonist of a story. They just have something special and it's difficult explaining it in words
Exactly I listened to some other Kpop groups n they r really talented n amazing but I never felt that connection or like that sth special idk how to explain I will always be an Army n I don't think I will ever love anyother group ever it's impossible for me tbh
@@hudaiqarazzaq4778 i feel precisely the same thing. just like you can listen to a good Justin bieber song one day and a week later you move on just like that. they has to have personality to grab you like BTS has. i think that they are so popular is because they are not afraid to be themself. they joke around and say deep stuff to each other and Infront of the camera they let us see everything, that´s why we know them so well. other artists don´t do that. kpop idols are seen as these perfect God like figures that is impossible to match in talent and beauty that makes fans get obsessed. but when people grow older people realise that idols are not much else but talent and start to question how they really are as people. do they even believe what they are singing about? it´s easy to tell if a person is being honest or not some might get caught in a lie from time to time without even noticing it. but with bts they are just real. and they are allowed to be by Big hit. they dont have to act fake. i think bang PD realised what was missing from other idols and therefore encourage them to do vlogs. he knew they would have a hard time and it´s important for them to have something that was unique to them. performance and personality. hip hop is speaking the truth and he knew that if the boys hid behind the music people would just assume they where like every other idol. but Bang PD didn't know how far they would go. nobody did
I 1000% believe it was because of fate that they came together! These guys were destined for greatness! If they had one more member or one member was missing none of this would have happened. I feel like everything they’ve been through brought them to this point and it was meant to happen this way.
i was one of the people who camped at citifield for a week for bts lol…basically how it works is we had a big group so our group was a group of 10…we would take shifts each day on who is there and who isn’t so like 2 of us would be there but the other 8 would go home/back to our hotels to shower and eat and chill. the only time all 10 of us were there at once is the night before/day of the actual show. also citifield provided us bathrooms in the parking lot for those of us who were in the tents! lemme know if you have anymore questions lol
I was totally blown away when RM confessed to all the members that it was Jin (bon voyage ep) who inspired him for his famous 'Use bts to love yourself' speech and also, how members asked V to make 'blue nd grey' a group song bcoz they were so touched nd wanted to become part of the feelings he went through his sad phase. This group not only has smart people but ppl with high emotional quotient, their willingness to understand each other is beyond beautiful.... so many groups disbanded bcoz of lack of opportunities nd personal growth but BTS defines teamwork in true sense, its not always about working towards a common goal, but sometimes it's about working together to fulfill each other's dream, making mission out of someone's vision. The reason why bts has so many genres, styles nd personalities within itself!
I remember RM sharing this as well. I also agree with what you said about how they work together and how each of them are so special in their own way but yet because of their character and high emotional quotient, it all works and is magical. They are honestly good, decent, young men who are not perfect but have learned to love each other and support each other and ARMY unselfishly.
BTS do not want to let each other and ARMY, down. Even if it takes a lot from them, they always give 110% or more in everything they do and that's truly inspiring and admirable. I cannot imagine the pain they had to go through to get to where they are now. It's not without sacrifices; all of them lost a part of themselves along the way. I sincerely hope they can reclaim what they've lost, in this lifetime, in whatever form it takes.
I've seen that clip of Jimin questioning BTS' popularity many times. And, as a new ARMY (from early 2021), I've had my own moments of questioning my love for them. I'm 43 years old. I haven't followed artists closely since my early 20s. So, my love and appreciation for BTS really came out of nowhere and caught me off guard. I've tried to formulate in my head the reasons I love BTS. Just in case anyone asks, I want to be prepared. haha.... What I've narrowed it down to is: 1) Their Music, 2) Their Messaging, 3) Their Authenticity, 4) Their Individual personalities and talents, 5) Their Group Synergy, and 6) Their love for their fans. In my opinion, these elements combined make them special and elevate them above other artists. Other groups might have some of these qualities, but not all. It's the unique intersection of all of these factors that makes BTS so compelling.
I have questioned myself why I love BTS so much as well. I'm 62 and never in my life I feel so deeply about any artist until BTS found me. I think we have pretty much the same reasons. What originally attracted me was their music and choreography but as I started following them I think it's their personalities, authenticity and love for the fans made me an ARMY for life.
I was at the Citifield concert. A lot of people ask how BTS concerts are. It’s a whole package experience. From the moment you walk into the lots of where thousands of ARMYs are, to the end of the concert. It’s a sensory over load. Meeting other ARMYs from all over. Ages, Race, and Identity. I brought a friend who didn’t listen to BTS. She was surprised by the diversity. When she heard Ephaniny live, with Jin on the piano she was lost in the moment. BTS just gets it. The ARMYs get it. We don’t need media approval.
The thing about the way girls' passion is regarded is so internalized in our societies a lot of us women as well see ourselves the same way. I had known about BTS for years but I didn't allow myself to get into them because I regarded being fans of a boy group to be a "crazy" thing as well... It took me years to allow myself to just like what I like and stand by it and see that there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
55:00 In addition to everything that TED Talk speaker said in the clips & the connections that you were making, please consider this: multiple studies have shown that there is an increase in incidents of domestic violence after sporting events, particularly after a loss by a home team and/or major events (Super Bowl, World Cup, etc.). I'll never pretend that there aren't problematic people involved in music fandoms and other things that have an audience of predominantly women & girls. Girls can be cruel to others, just like boys can. However, there is a marked difference in levels of physical violence between majority-male & majority-female fandoms. One big difference is, of course, the amount of alcohol intoxication associated with sporting events, but I think there is a definite difference in the way that girls & boys are socialised to express themselves publicly.
These days have been very difficult for me, i feel like my life is not going anywhere just getting harder and harder. Watching this video and especially listening to Magic Shop at the end made me bawl my eyes out. It was cathartic and reminded me that in the end it's all gonna be ok, truly. Thank you for your reactions cause they give me the chance to re-live emotions i forget in this busy lives of ours 💜
The Speak Yourself Tour: Final in Seoul, which was the final show, is available in VLIVE, you have to pay to unblock the video, like $27. Is so goooood! And of course all their concerts are available in DVD.
@@amberpearce710 every tour DVD is called like the tour itself sometimes when they release several dvds on the same tour they put the city to identify them for example "love yourself seul dvd" "love yourself New York dvd" love yourself Europe dvd" etc
Muchas gracias, yo también estoy esperando la continuación de esta serie....son increíbles , se aprende mucho de la vida y de los chicos, ellos son maravillosos muchas gracias 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🫰🤟🇦🇲
You got me smiling through it all :) From the female enthusiasm portray to your reaction to John Cena 😁 Your videos are really nice, you seem very nice. I hope you have a wonderful week ahead 💜
So im a 68yr old grandmother from Australia and the guys found me in 2017 and I fell straight down the rabbithole. Ive always loved music (cant play any instrument, dance or sing that well) but ive kept up with music all my life until around 2010 and i started being less invested, I found a lot of MVs had very little relation to the music (mainly half naked women twerking) and that a lot of lyrics I found degrading to women calling us bitches and hoes so I was slowly listening to less and less. The guys changed all that and in the process they changed me as a person in so many ways all for the better. I havnt been able to see them perform live (except for online concerts) and its my only bucketlist item! They slowly educate us in such a subtle way to question things around us amd make us want to be better people and I consider them part of my family. Ive never worried if people call me names because of my love for them or if they think im crazy because basically they make me soooooooooo happy, they can also make me cry, laugh and think about things from other peoples viewpoint. They are the only group where Ive joined the official fanclub (Ive followed a lot of great groups over the years) also I buy merch and albums and I am hoping to make one of the rooms into a BTS room when i finish renovating. My son in law has a really large room full of sports memorablia and I dont see any difference in his room to mine. I am the only BTS fan in my family and Im sure some of them think I am in my second childhood but wth. I also at the age of 66 got my first tattoo, BTS related ofc and later got another also BTS related. My son commented that I should have gotten his and my daughters names to which I replied that he has numerous tattoos none of which say mother and the same for my daughter who wasnt phased about the tattoos at all lol. I think of them as honorary grandchildren I just havnt told them that and ARMY as honorary members of my family also.
Diana, I would love to chat with you about our boys!! I'm 62 from the US an no one understands my love for them, either. I'm a super baby... only Army for about 10 months, but will tell anyone that will listen that they have changed my life.
Your journey Jim was the most pleasurable one to follow. I have being watching other’s reactions and never went through the whole series with them. You changed that. I could see the change, the realization, the enthusiasm in discovering BTS. I felt the same way years ago. Thank you for making me feel all the joy again. Welcome to the ARMY 💜💜💜💜
I always enjoy your reactions to the Rise of Bangtan, but this reaction was especially good. Interesting and thoughtful discussion, particularly at the end of the video. And nice touch to use the piano version of Magic Shop at the end!
Hello Jim. I just finished bingewatched your journey to TROB. and I found your insights, commentaries and openmindedness commendable so I subscribed. I plan to watch your other reactions. Btw I am a 66 yo bts fan and just found bts during the dynamite era. And so happy with them.
59:58 Thank you SO much for saying the things you just did. It feels so relieving that you thought about it from our perspective, and didn’t put your walls up or get defensive or hostile. You were honest and real and extremely considerate, caring, and empathetic. Thank you for doing this. Even just seeing you do that has helped heal me a little bit from the pain and hurt of being judged so immediately for my passion and excitement over this band. Thank you for doing that and saying all that for us, and for me. It really helped me find some peace and calm within myself and helped contribute to me feeling more confident with myself to see a guy say this when historically I’ve seen guys do the opposite around me. Just by being this empathetic and apologetic and understanding and actually thinking about this has helped me today. Thank you.
I loved that they made Rise of Bangtan, there's nothing like it that brings everything together in a straightforward timeline. I haven't watched all the episodes, but it certainly made me appreciate the boys a lot more.
I know im late but i want to share this 😅 This chapter goes like an arrow to my heart. Back in 2012 i discovered 1D and i love them...the thing it's that in school you were considered rare or crazy, so was a little hard sometimes... When they disbanded and broke my heart, i decided i never gonna stan anyone since.... Well, i found BTS last year, at the beginning i denied everything 🤣, but after some months i give up and had to admit that i love their music and them so much. With their help, at some point i realized that it's okay to support and be passionate about some thing i really enjoy, bc its my life and these boys deserves all the good things and love of this world 💜 That's why this episode broke me every time 😭 Thank you Aneesa for also helping me with that 💜😭💕
I'm 22 and became an ARMY in the beginning of last year. I've never been so passionate about any musician my whole life, so that's why I thought my family was caught off guard a little bit by my enthusiasm. However, as time went by and I became more and more connected to BTS, it started to hurt... The way they would roll their eyes whenever I was excited about something BTS related, how they would call me crazy, hormonal, obsessed... They would sigh whenever I listen to or watch their content, shush me when I want to talk about them, say "you're not gonna listen to them anymore in a few years" when I ask for merch or albums (for my birthday ie) etc. My mom used to "jokingly" say some racist and homophobic stuff before I confronted her and told her it's really not okay, and that it's bothering me a lot. Even now, after more than a year, they still think this is some "late teen obsession". I guess it's because they don't know how deep it goes... Or they don't want to believe it. Misogyny is still very real and very present. I spend quite a lot of time in ARMY spaces on social media (mostly twitter) and the things we have to deal with are just nuts to me. I'm not even talking about some online trolls, but public figures, journalists, tv show hosts, you know, people with an audience. We get called "crazy", "rabid", "too sensitive", we get made fun of all the time, that we "can't take a joke", that we're "overreacting"... All those things whenever we (rightfully) try to defend our boys. Over the year I quiestioned my love for the group so many times. I asked the same thing as Jimin: Why them? There's so many other groups and artists, who work just as hard, connect with their fans, talk about important stuff, etc. If we take away the talent, the music, the content, their story, even the messages in their music, what is left? What's the thing that makes them special? To be quite honest, I'm still not quite sure about the answer. One thing I would mention is the boys themselves: their personalities, thoughts, individual stories, their perspective on life... They're just so inspiring and lovable. Other thing is their bond, the way they treat each other and the people around them. And lastly, the IT. The *something* that nobody can put into words but we all feel it. There's just something so uniquely special about them that nobody else has. The feeling so many ARMYs have, the reason why we feel so deeply connceted to them, why we call them our home. Something you can't understand if you're not a fan yourself.
I can relate. Nobody in my family understands and I am a 58 year-old ARMY. I have know them for 7 years but really immersed myself in the last year. They helped me overcome a period of depression in my life. Watching their love for each other, how genuine and kind they are, not to mention their talent, and them having fun together, made me surpass the dark period. I felt like they were my best friends and they fulfilled something lacking in my life. Real connection to people. I love them. 💜💜💜💜
You talked about media and interviews asking questions like those to get clout and views. The one thing they don’t realize is that they would get more if they actually had better questions, thoughtful questions, and questions that was about their music. ARMY know which are the best interviews to watch and will tell others. If it isn’t a good interview honestly majority of ARMY don’t really watch. However it is good then tons of ARMY would….people just don’t understand
the Indian interview by Sakshma is honestly probably the best BTS interview. I watched her interview other artists, idols and actors too and they make the ones in the west look like garbage. Even the ones where she interviews American actors are better.
@@Random-qi3vv that is a really good one. The one by the Amazon guy is also really good. I honestly think the Grammy Museum interview was really good (the one that was like 3 years ago with an audience), to me that was one of the best interviews I have seen.
I always love watching your TRoB reactions, Jim. I never get tired of listening to your points of view. You are a very open-minded person and your words are just as powerful as your mind. Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us. Really appreciate it! More power to your channel. You deserve more! 💜
Thank you Jim for this wonderful reaction. DJ Jino and you are the only 2 reactors I know, who had an awakening about the way women are treated when they show their enthusiasm... thank you so much 💜
Very authentic, organic, real, humorous, talented, and ooze charisma, humility, hardworking, genuine. This is what I personally identified as I became ARMY. They're like no other; AND they show their love for us, their country, youth wellbeing. They are relevant, making us individually relevant; no matter what scale we choose to live our lives, it matters, they matter, we matter.
Hi, I discovered your channel after watching a bunch of video reactions to "set me free" and you are the only one I decided to subscribe to (at some point afterwards). At first, I thought it will be just another reaction to my Jimin, lol. But then I actually liked the way you were talking or the way you were talking about him. So decided to watch a few more videos from you and see what was on your channel. I saw "who is the next BTS" and even though I already watch this video I just wanted to know what you had to say about it. I liked it (I think it's that time I subscribed) and the same for the rise of Bangtan (that I already watched but wanted to see how you would react to it). And just saw you becoming an Army Just to let you know I really enjoy your video
You know rewatching The Rise of Bangtan again makes me emotional and i remember why i still like BTS after 9 years of knowing them. I still know all their songs even the Bsides and that makes me so happy that i discovered them. 💜
Since 2013 most of the time members spend their birthdays on a schedule. So birthdays are not a 'special day' if you are doing your daily job. I don't think it has a direct correlation with depression. But since 2020, BTS was in Korea a lot more than usual, so they got holidays, and spend time with family and friends for birthdays and they expressed how happy that made them.
i'm leaving a comment because it might take a long time before Chapter 22 gets aired. I just want to thank you Jim for your reactions which I've watched from the first reaction till now, joining you in your journey down the purple rabbit hole. I'm a newbie/baby army at 56. I got into BTS bec of my 18 y.o daughter. We don't have a n album yet (we can't afford one), but we watched the cinema PTD and had a private online viewing. I bought my daughter posters, she got an army bomb from her older sister, a light stick holder, and some little merch. I've watched all the videos out there, read all the news and articles about OT7, got all their songs on my playlist, still, I feel lacking. I started watching reactions to BTS and I thank the reactors like you who provide in-depth and objective reactions. Becoming an Army halfway is a bonus! responses like yours give me a fresh perspective, I love it! BTW, I envy your cap! Will find one for sure! Big thanks to you!💕💕
💯% Privilege, by it’s nature, is largely invisible to those who enjoy its benefits. It’s just baked into the culture. It takes work to become aware of both privilege and culturally ingrained biases and to shift behavior. It’s hard. People with privilege don’t have to do that work, so many of them don’t.
You know the best part if you get upset if somebody close your crazy as a Girl as a Fan of literally anything? It make it wors because then you just are even more of the crazy fangirl for These people
What an episode! Makes me emotional everytime! Thanks for reacting and understanding ❤️ Actually i so much relate with RM thinking birthdays r nothing great to celebrate! I every year think why it has to be so special? Isn't it just another day of our lives? We live everyday. Just one day need not be so special coz we were born on that day years ago?! For me all that matters is how I live every day,how I stay happy. How memorable I make this journey of mine! Everyday is same! I don't understand ppl thinking that on my birthday i should pretend very happy even if m not n celebrate it! I just don't understand! So I completely understand RM. That's why he is by bias He is totally relatable 🙂🙂😊 Also John cena is RM and Jhope biased he keeps posting their pics and the quotes they say!! 😀😀
i get really sad on my birthdays like ... idk... i feel like not talking to anyone, just sleeping and not doing much. Maybe eating something i like, but i dont like it... i feel bad, sad, depressed idk
I have felt the same way for as long as I can remember. I get very anxious and depressed and fall into kind of an extensional crisis, where I reflect on all the bad things in life and relationships I have lost. I think the added attention on top of that just adds so much pressure to a day that you already know you're not going to feel your best. You're not alone, and one day we'll get through it 💜
@@pizzaopossum yes exactly. When they congratulate you or just your family comes to see you ... its hard bc you just dont want the attention. Hoepfully, we can get pass this feeling some day
Watching your journey has been so fun. You have such a great perspective coming from a musical background yourself. Do you think you'll check out more BTS live performances for reactions? MMA 2018 and MMA 2019 were two in particular that I liked but I'm sure your Dream Team can come up with fun options :D
Hearing the crowd always charges me, watching on my computer. I can't imagine what it must do live, but I hope to find out when they comeback. Jimin's vibrato is so unique. The only one close is Shakira. I believe I read they started flying private as a group post covid.
Heck yeah, John Cena's a fan. Go back to the episode of Peacemaker where he lists a bunch of names Dye Beard could have framed instead of his dad. He managed to sneak BTS in there. 😂
John Cena is a fan and is vocal of his admiration and support to the group. In one of rhe Nickelodeon awards show...he even dances Mic Drop with the other dancers.
im a trans man but am pre everything so im treated and seen in society as a girl/woman so im someone affected by this prejudice and it's fucking crazy man, how since i was very little ive been having these type of conversations and ive been aware of how people saw us (fandoms of mostly girls) as a whole, idk... i feel like it made me grow up faster and i don't know if that's a positive or negative thing, sorry for Venting in your comment section Lmao. it just baffles me how you (and a lot more ppl) just began to question this thing I've been dealing with my whole life. !!! no negative feelings towards you whatsoever btw : ) im glad you want to have these type of conversations w yourself, just felt like putting my two cents
Not gonna lie, as a now young woman myself I defenitely had that internalized misogyny of "everthing that is liked by girls is bad, everything that is liked by boy is good." Books, TV shows, sports (soccer vs horse riding for example), clothes, colors... It's the belitteling of girls for what they like starting with comments like "you look like a _girl",_ "Why do you kick the ball like a _girl",_ "Why are you wearing that shirt, only _girls_ wear that" to straight up calling girls crazy, rabid and hysteric for being fans of whatever they like, that from childhood on teaches you that everything that girls like is bad, and that girls who are very enthusiastic about something are something wrong, weird, or to be side-eyed. In the worst case even stupid, mindless, or not be taken seriously. And I'm guilty of looking down on One Direction fans back then too, and I asked my mom to borrow the Twilight books from the library because I didn't want to be seen borrowing them myself. Only when I got into BTS at age 18 or so I slowly realized how stupid I was. That I shouldn't hold back or be embarrased by what I like or by what I'm interested in learning about. That I'm not worth less because I wear pink sometimes. That it's totally fine for me to love BTS. That wearing a dress will not automatically kill my rationality. And it was only because ARMYs so intensely discuss the topic of how the media portrays us, that I started to realize this myself. That's the scariest part of it, that it's not a conclusion that one comes to on their own, but that society teaches you this and makes you internalize it.
Let me tell you something about the first few days of the PTD LA shows. There were thousands of people from all over the world there all coming and going for days. Going to booths, standing in lines, and doing meet ups but after those few days my friend pointed out to me how clean everything was. There was virtually no trash on the ground. All of the trash were in neat piles right next to the overflowing trash can! It blew my mind but also of course army would do that! I don’t think I ever been to an event where so many people cleaned up after themselves. It just shows how conscious we are of our surroundings, you know? Really SoFi(the venue for the LA concerts) was a shit show!! They were so disorganized that they had to delay day one of the concerts by 15 minutes because not even half of the crowd had made it into the venue yet by the time the show was supposed to start! I remember seeing videos on twitter of army getting out of their cars to direct traffic after the concert! I swear if it were any other fandom at SoFi it would have be a total disaster! But army are very organized and responsible. We know our actions reflect on the guys. We take care of each other and when something needs to be done we get it done! I am so proud of this fandom!
I’m old enough to know the what the huge fandom of the Beatles was like. It was called Beatlemania. And fans were considered crazy girls also. It really didn’t bother us. We loved the boys and it didn’t deter us. Guys that are huge fans of their teams are called fanatics. People are too sensitive these days. Worry what actually happens to you not the words of someone on tv or on social media says. I love BTS and don’t worry about people thinking I’m too old to be a fan of a young music group.
Hi Jim. I've subscribed today to your twitch to watch old streams starting from the 1st trilogy and their live performances but the earliest video/stream that's appearing for me is RM's bicycle. How can I get to your older reactions? I was so excited but this really made me sad is there a chance that they're lost?
Since the beginning RM would change hate comments when he translated to the others in order to save them from the hurtful comments. 💜 Just like he rephrased the questions in interviews💜 God Bless BTS and Leader Namjoon💜
I think in Army you can find a home. A little safespace were you meet people who understand the message of BTS. Being kinde, positiv, love yourself and others. Let`s be real here the pandemic is tough and finding something good incommen with people with the same mindeset has helped me a grand deal in this time. Oh and for the woman and men thing. The true meaning of being a feminist is simple we want just equality not more just the same respect.
If you liked this clip of the lady talking about how the world sees female enthusiasm I really recommend you to react to xCeleste's video called "Difference Between Sports Fans and Boy Band Fans ". This clip is also there and more things that really gonna make blow your mind. Hope you will upload here the reaction to this amazing video, she did a really good job with it!
I’m sorry but as a collector it hurts to see someone writing on an official postcard like that😭but it’s really sweet regardless! It’s a one of a kind gift meant only for you Jim!🥺
Hahaha yess John Cena is a big army. Hobi stan all the way 😆 He follows sooo many Armys on twitter hahah Being an army means that there’s a good chance that John Cena will follow you😝
Sounds like you are starting to really understand what people mean when they talk about how they save them, change their lives, and become a force for good in the world. It takes a while for it to truly sink in at a heart level. You can "get it" intellectually but at some point you realise "hey I am changing for the better" in whatever way you need to. It's why it's so hard to explain in a simple comment or tweet.
as a grown azz adult woman... tbh i dont even care what people think about me liking bts bc i know how good they are, and why i support them and usually i tell people this and they kind of understand now more bc bts is taking more seriously nowadays and bc im an adult and a lawyer BUT i remeber when i was a fangirl as teenager, and gosh it was so hard that even i was like "no im not a fangirl" like they make me feel ashamed of stanning a boyband .-.
I’m so tired, every time I watch a BTS interview/news they always try and paint us as crazy fans that’s why I stopped watching them. so many people wonder why we’re so protective of BTS, it’s cuz of the racism they face daily and all media trying to use them in such a malicious way like on twitter I would be seeing some kind of news/rumors going after BTS it’s happens every now and then especially when BTS have their comebacks. it’s honestly so infuriating☹️
For me the fact that you follow the time line kept the interest. I wach a lot of reactors and after a wile it can get boring and following the evolution it was fan.
And this coming May 31st, the US President Biden himself has invited BTS to the White House to discuss more about the rising Anti Asian Hate crimes. President Biden is a low key Army. (Just joking but I love it) 🤭✌️🥰💜
There are two things that bother me a lot about how ARMY is looked down upon. For once it's that we're always being generalised as screaming teenage girls while we're a very diverse fandom when it comes to age and gender...and the second thing is how we're alwys downplayed to just being that when we want to start a conversation about serious topics. Whenever someone makes racist remarks and we speak up, we're only hysterical fangirls. So our entire point gets lost. Instead of looking down at young kids being enthusiastic about bts, we should really look forward to who they will grow up to be. Having BTS and their messages as role models, they can only grow up to be incredible people.
Only the American media who asked these unnecessary questions. It is a shame that intelligent questions could have been asked by these western media but they don't cause they asked questions to caused hate, prejudice and confusion. All these western media ask these same stupid questions to mostly different nationalities the same thing they do whenever you don't agreed or accept the western concepts. Most folks wondered why BTS is being love especially the haters but it is OK to love the western music all over in the world which is in English but wrong in different languages. Western music has become familiar unfriendly, going nake, insults in most lyrics, too sexual. Look at BTS or kpop as a whole, it is family oriented, grandparents can watch with their grandchildren, older folks can listen to BTS without closing their ears and eyes. The world is very tired of most American music for this reason. America has been so respected and love by the world but it seems like they don't appreciate even though America is a melting pots and BTS do show the side America is lacked of in the music industry. There are very few family oriented music within the Entertainment industry in the US but it is not appropriated and focus on. The US Entertainment industry focuses on the non family oriented side of it cause those in charged thinks this what makes money. The US Entertainment industry want to make certain race to look bad, terrible in the eyes of the world therefore, they make sure that particular race presents these unnecessary unfamily oriented concepts and failing to realize that race still represents the United States of America. It doesn't matter whether you are black in America presenting unfamily oriented music, they still represent the US just like BTS represents the south Korea country. It doesn't matter if you were recruited from China, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand and became part of the kpop industry, you or the group still represents south Korea. America is loosing its reputation in the world but they have not caught up on that yet. The new thing now in the US is all about lgbt concepts being accepted by the world and you can not have an opinion about that then you become a hater.
All the best,
Aneesa
Aneesa, I love you. thank you for this well put masterpiece docuseries. we are grateful and felt so inspired by this. I also cried so hard when I watch this episode.
Thanks Aneesa for the great job you are doing! thank you so so much! 보라해!

Thank you.
Thank you so~~~~much!!🥰🥰
Yes John Cena is an ARMY, and his bias is Hobi too
BTS has never been ashamed of its female fans.
This series deserves an Oscar seriously.
💯
yes
@@hudaiqarazzaq4778 i feel precisely the same thing. just like you can listen to a good Justin bieber song one day and a week later you move on just like that. they has to have personality to grab you like BTS has. i think that they are so popular is because they are not afraid to be themself. they joke around and say deep stuff to each other and Infront of the camera they let us see everything, that´s why we know them so well.
other artists don´t do that. kpop idols are seen as these perfect God like figures that is impossible to match in talent and beauty that makes fans get obsessed. but when people grow older people realise that idols are not much else but talent and start to question how they really are as people. do they even believe what they are singing about? it´s easy to tell if a person is being honest or not some might get caught in a lie from time to time without even noticing it. but with bts they are just real. and they are allowed to be by Big hit. they dont have to act fake. i think bang PD realised what was missing from other idols and therefore encourage them to do vlogs.
he knew they would have a hard time and it´s important for them to have something that was unique to them. performance and personality. hip hop is speaking the truth and he knew that if the boys hid behind the music people would just assume they where like every other idol. but Bang PD didn't know how far they would go. nobody did
@@lealarsen2017 well said 💜💜
I 1000% believe it was because of fate that they came together!
Wow what a wonderful experience 💜
@@indri2137 it was so fun it’s like a big camping trip with other army and you make so many friends in line 🥺
That's amazing I hope I will get to see them live once 😭😭
Well spoken 💜
Same with me..I'm 53 ..they are very talented, humble n of cause good looking too...full pakage..
I am baby (silver) Army and I am praying they come back to Citifield so I can see them live at least once in my life.
John Cena is ARMY and J-hope is his bias. He loves the rapline.
J Hope is MY bias! I knew there was a reason I liked John Cena!
John Cena and Halsey are probably one of the earliest genuine celebrities who shows their support to BTS when BTS first came to USA.
59:55 Thank you for the apology Jim. I can see you meant it, truly, so thank you for your apology as well as how genuine it is.
56:50 You are also correct Jim when you put yourself in our shoes in that moment. It is INCREDIBLY frustrating and annoying and hurtful.
Jin said it recently "everyone knows that army and I are one".
The Speak Yourself Tour: Final in Seoul, which was the final show, is available in VLIVE, you have to pay to unblock the video, like $27. Is so goooood!
And of course all their concerts are available in DVD.
Do you know what the DVD’s are called? I get confused with the season greetings and everything

John cena's Bias is hobi. And yes he's a big fan
55:40 Thank you Jim, you are right, it’s not fair.
Yeahh I was waiting for this. Thank you Jim! Mondaymorning starts so nice to watch you.🙏💜
As an army watching Rise of Bangtan with you I always have so much fun! Love the details. Thank you!!
Hello Jim. I just finished bingewatched your journey to TROB. and I found your insights, commentaries and openmindedness commendable so I subscribed. I plan to watch your other reactions. Btw I am a 66 yo bts fan and just found bts during the dynamite era. And so happy with them.
The fact that they still ask the whys proves the point of their popularity.
Im 34 y.o n proud ARMY 💜
This chapter makes me so emotional 😢 but I love your reaction 💜
Wow I really love the ARMY hat 💜 love the colour also.
I know im late but i want to share this 😅
This chapter goes like an arrow to my heart. With their help, at some point i realized that it's okay to support and be passionate about some thing i really enjoy, bc its my life and these boys deserves all the good things and love of this world 💜
That's why this episode broke me every time 😭
Thank you Aneesa for also helping me with that 💜😭💕
Cried once again watching this with you💜
I'm 22 and became an ARMY in the beginning of last year.

Merry Christmas Jim and Happy New Year!!!
I got to see them for the first time with this album tour, it was amazing.... Wish I could go back!
i'm leaving a comment because it might take a long time before Chapter 22 gets aired. Big thanks to you!💕💕
Thank you so much realy loved your video💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

This is the thing Jim, if you are not a woman living in this world, you would not realize how deep-rooted misogyny is in every layer of our society.

Privilege, by it’s nature, is largely invisible to those who enjoy its benefits.
That's why he is by bias He is totally relatable 🙂🙂😊
Also John cena is RM and Jhope biased he keeps posting their pics and the quotes they say!! 😀😀
i get really sad on my birthdays like ... idk... i feel like not talking to anyone, just sleeping and not doing much.
Hoepfully, we can get pass this feeling some day
The were on the cover of TIME Magazine 3 times (2018,2020,2022)
Watching your journey has been so fun. You have such a great perspective coming from a musical background yourself. Do you think you'll check out more BTS live performances for reactions? MMA 2018 and MMA 2019 were two in particular that I liked but I'm sure your Dream Team can come up with fun options :D
Thank you, Mr Jim grom a 53 uears old female Army.BTS walked with me from the beginning❤❤❤❤
Essa série merece um Oscar. É tão bem feita, tão bem editada, e ao mesmo tempo nos faz refletir. Anessa trabalhou bem
That 's why I love them very much.....They always love army 💜💜💜
Hearing the crowd always charges me, watching on my computer. I can't imagine what it must do live, but I hope to find out when they comeback. Jimin's vibrato is so unique. The only one close is Shakira.
I believe I read they started flying private as a group post covid.
With BTS you never need to feel uncomfortable about who you are....all are welcome to share their love 💜
💜💜💜💜💜💜 Thank you again.
Thank you for understanding....😊many dont...
Heck yeah, John Cena's a fan. Go back to the episode of Peacemaker where he lists a bunch of names Dye Beard could have framed instead of his dad. He managed to sneak BTS in there. 😂
I love your reaction 🔥🔥
Pls react to ( ugh performance)
John Cena is a fan and is vocal of his admiration and support to the group. In one of rhe Nickelodeon awards show...he even dances Mic Drop with the other dancers.
I have those from the LY series and Map 7...
im a trans man but am pre everything so im treated and seen in society as a girl/woman so im someone affected by this prejudice and it's fucking crazy man, how since i was very little ive been having these type of conversations and ive been aware of how people saw us (fandoms of mostly girls) as a whole, idk... i feel like it made me grow up faster and i don't know if that's a positive or negative thing, sorry for Venting in your comment section Lmao. it just baffles me how you (and a lot more ppl) just began to question this thing I've been dealing with my whole life.
!!! no negative feelings towards you whatsoever btw : ) im glad you want to have these type of conversations w yourself, just felt like putting my two cents
I love BTS so much💜💜💜
Not gonna lie, as a now young woman myself I defenitely had that internalized misogyny of "everthing that is liked by girls is bad, everything that is liked by boy is good." Books, TV shows, sports (soccer vs horse riding for example), clothes, colors...
John Cena has been a fan for years and years! He’s a Hobi bias too!!
also, JIM. We ENJOY watching you open packages. We love watching people see the gifts we send
I would happily pay thousands of dollars to go to BTS concert.
Hi Jim.
I've subscribed today to your twitch to watch old streams starting from the 1st trilogy and their live performances but the earliest video/stream that's appearing for me is RM's bicycle. How can I get to your older reactions? I was so excited but this really made me sad is there a chance that they're lost?
Oh i just found out I can't find any of your live streams before MAP OF THE SOUL 7
Since the beginning RM would change hate comments when he translated to the others in order to save them from the hurtful comments. 💜
Just like he rephrased the questions in interviews💜
God Bless BTS and Leader Namjoon💜
John Cena & Jim both have SOMEONE in common......... your bias..... JHOPE 💜😉
Did we ever get a reaction for Chapter 22 Jim? I didn't see it in the BTS playlist
❤❤❤
I think in Army you can find a home. A little safespace were you meet people who understand the message of BTS. Being kinde, positiv, love yourself and others. Let`s be real here the pandemic is tough and finding something good incommen with people with the same mindeset has helped me a grand deal in this time. Oh and for the woman and men thing. The true meaning of being a feminist is simple we want just equality not more just the same respect.
If you liked this clip of the lady talking about how the world sees female enthusiasm I really recommend you to react to xCeleste's video called "Difference Between Sports Fans and Boy Band Fans
". This clip is also there and more things that really gonna make blow your mind. Hope you will upload here the reaction to this amazing video, she did a really good job with it!
Yeah I really need to look into this subject more. It’s giving me a lot to think about.
I’m sorry but as a collector it hurts to see someone writing on an official postcard like that😭but it’s really sweet regardless! It’s a one of a kind gift meant only for you Jim!🥺
Hahaha yess John Cena is a big army. Hobi stan all the way 😆
He follows sooo many Armys on twitter hahah
Being an army means that there’s a good chance that John Cena will follow you😝
John Cena has been a army for years now 💜
He’s a really nice person!
💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Sounds like you are starting to really understand what people mean when they talk about how they save them, change their lives, and become a force for good in the world. It takes a while for it to truly sink in at a heart level. You can "get it" intellectually but at some point you realise "hey I am changing for the better" in whatever way you need to. It's why it's so hard to explain in a simple comment or tweet.
The Ted Talk from that Woman Hit a bit too Close to home
as a grown azz adult woman... tbh i dont even care what people think about me liking bts bc i know how good they are, and why i support them and usually i tell people this and they kind of understand now more bc bts is taking more seriously nowadays and bc im an adult and a lawyer
BUT i remeber when i was a fangirl as teenager, and gosh it was so hard that even i was like "no im not a fangirl" like they make me feel ashamed of stanning a boyband .-.
(Just joking but I love it) 🤭✌️🥰💜
Wow nice so gwapo ,I have no bias of BTS all seven is my bias
And now in 2022 we still have such unfair stuff like it changed but not changed
