Hey Bro, excellent content as always. Very appreciated. As an ingredient focus player, I would say Vaporeon is at an awkward spot to power up main dishes. When starting off a new week, dish type is an unknown, but it is critical for players to plan ahead. If we look at top tier dishes with 48% bonuses, I will only stock up Corn on Sunday, and the reason is self-explanatory, it is necessary across all 3 types of dishes. Once rolling over to a new week, simply dump in the other mono-ingredient specialists to make it 3 in total, then add a favorite berry specialist just-in-case to back up the base power, lastly a healer to make up a team of 5. That is my current playstyle, it allows me to cook 2 times (3 if lucky enough) the top tier dishes per day, from Monday to Sunday. If I fit in a Vaporeon at the start of the week just to randomly fill out the bag, basically I am gonna waste 2/3 days of dishes for me to cook garbage dishes due to the inherent uncertainty it provides. Having said that, we are at a lv55 meta where the ingredient specialists haven’t showed their full potential. But let’s think when lv60 unlocks and the ingredient specialists can support the top tier dishes more consistently, there will be less chance for Vaporeon to occupy a spot if the others can mono-locking up the powerful dishes. At the end, who will cook garbage dishes when they can lock up the best ones?
I agree with your strategy. If you want corn for your purposes, it makes no sense to run vaporeon. Vaporeon being good doesn't mean it's good in every situation. I stated many conditions for it to be good - for example if you aren't looking for a specific ingredient and your bag is not near limit. This analysis compares base strength of all ingredients and vaporeon came out on top (partly due to average strength being pulled up by tails). It's also important to be fair to vaporeon who can also help you hoard slowpoke tails to dump as extra ingredients on Monday though, which bewear cannot.
14:34 Slowbro/Slowking are getting buffed, but in different ways. Slowbro is getting a 30% ingredient finding buff while Slowking is getting a 10% Main Skill Chance and Ingredient finding buff, plus +6 carry limit for both
Thanks! A lot of effort into this. Love the deep dives. I use berry specialist in the morning and ingredients in the afternoon. When health drops below 60%. Then switch back to run the berry specialist down and farm/regain energy in the evening. I love the cooking 🧑🍳 but know that focusing on berries + nap would probably result in higher drowsy power 😴😴😊
Awesome analysis as always! Was glad to see you touch on the subject of berries vs ingredients, it's something that still to this day confuses me, looking forward to when you make a video in detail about when it's better to swap a mon for an ingredient mon and going for a dish, and how to use the team analysis tool for it, as currently I believe there's some issues with it like if you don't bring 100% of the ingredients needed for your meal plan, it will only account for a portion of the dishes being made (When in reality you could've stockpiled some of them) Thanks as always! Keep on keeping on
Yes that analysis is planned. It will depend on the stats of your pokemon. I almost always start my team building with fave + BFS + berry specialist for the first 2 slots. Add a healer. The 2 remaining spots I will use ingredient pokemon unless my bag is full then I'll rotate them out for more berry specialists who aren't limited by pot size in their potential.
Well if they found 4 BFS cyndaquils... definitely hard carry at taupe Being non-fave at other islands maybe not enough to compensate not cooking strong dishes though.
Wow I never knew Vape was this good with the main skill. I’d love to invest into one but I have a good Blastoise that’s good enough and is water berry. Ik Vape would prob be better but then that’s another eevee evolution I can’t invest into.
Do you think entei might be the next one since in pokemon go we had raikou as the shadow raid of the month when the raikou event was happening and this month is entei
Generally speaking, if it is fave, no. If it isn't fave, you should consider it. It'll depend on how strong the berry mon is vs how strong that dish is.
As my scenarios compared ideal stats, the specific stats your helpers have will require computations with Team Analysis in calculator if you want to understand which one will win out.
Pokemon sleep will have an update on meal time. Breakfast changes to 4am to 12 pm while dinner changes to 6pm to 4am. Not sure carrying sunday dinner to monday is still posiible or not😢
Which one of these would you turn into a Vaporeon? Skill Level Up M Helping Speed S Helping Speed M Skill Trigger M Skill Level Up S (Bashful = neutral) or Energy Recovery Bonus Skill Level Up S Skill Level Up M Helping Speed S Inventory up S (Careful = skill up, ing down) Honestly, I wish the one with double helping speed was the one with the Careful nature 😆 But it is what it is. With its natural high skill trigger rate, maybe neutral isn't that bad? And it'll eventually get skill trigger at lv 75.. Idk :/
At L50, the HSM+HSS combination actually gives you more skill triggers than the second one with msc up. Shame first one SLUS is at L100 but otherwise the first one is superior.
Is there a way to get a free water stone, like through achievements? I have a vaporeon candidate, but not enough sleep points and I'm constantly spending to get skill seeds and pokebiscuits 😅
Similar to what I said about walrein. Because it is berry specialist, as long as you plan to use it in most/all areas as a generalist, main seeding skill level will help you a long way. I wouldn't main seed ingredient specialists that have magnet on the other hand, as I don't want them on the team when they're done farming their specific ingredient.
Vaporeon is the most compatible with your helper pokemon team. Not only is it the best Ingredient Magnet user, but it also has access to great splash ingredients that further help it fill up the pot regarldless of favorite dish type.
Don't listen to him, he doesn't even know what your Dragonite and Tyranitar are doing at level 60; these two can bring in a total of 200 resources per day.
@lueswarlock6805 I already said that in the video. This analysis changes when L60 gets released, but I also said main skill can also go up in level in which case vaporeon gets better too. You can also argue by L60 maybe ttar and dnite both will be power creeped. I normally recommend to not think too far ahead and focus on what's actually currently good. And vaporeon is, if used properly, at the top of *base ingredient strength* meta.
@volee007 did you watch the video? A skill specialist with Ingredient magnet is, as I said in the video, the same as ingredient specialist but with variety instead of specific ingredients. I've actually alluded to that several times.
@Bropenings jocking apart I got what you mean but It's still two different things, can't compare a eevolution to a pseudo legendary and they bring different things on the table
