Plein aire painting can always give us challenges but you figure out how to get through those challenges and once again complete an amazing painting of an amazing site! You are a real trooper and tremendously skilled painter! I always look forward to you sharing your painting adventures.Thank you.😊
I learned the expression "to stuff up" watching "MacLeod's Daughters", and ever since then, I've been trying to make it catch on here. I think your decision to go with the easier view to reach made a lot of sense, basically eliminating a bunch of extra stress from the whole project. I'm not sure whether it was on your end or mine, but it was kind of tough to see what was going on on your canvas until the very end. (My wife and I have relocated, so I'm still finding the sweet spot in my monitor settings.) The painting works great, and that little bit of ocean adds a perfect bit of contrast in that spot. Even though there's a lot of greenery in that location (way too much to be the US Grand Canyon), the various elements as you've captured them work together nicely to offset it, and I agree your rock formation look amazing, almost realistic. Excellent job as always!!
@DQ_ArtGroupie I didn't even realise it was just an Australian saying 😂 where are you based? Yes it was a safety thing but also a convenience thing. You know what I just tried re watching it and it does seem to be on my end, I'm not sure what happened to the quality of the video 🧐 oh that's exciting for you! Congratulations on your move! I love that the view extended to the ocean. Thank you so much!! 😊
You got a great life traveling to far out parts of Earth and paint beautiful things.God bless you Kate, thank him and keep it up
