Hey! I am thinking about going. Are the alcoholic drinks also free and unlimited? Or is it just drinks like soda, water, and juice?
Hi! I definitely recommend going! The alcohol is also free and unlimited, but for "lower quality". So the top shelf stuff they do charge for, but if that's not an absolute requirement for you to enjoy a drink, then you're golden! I will say in our experience, they made the drinks much stronger than most bars been to in the states 😅

Hi I am thinking of staying at this resort or Taino. I have read a lot of not so good reviews about the food and rooms at Viva. What was your thoughts on it? Also did you have to pay extra for the snorkeling and paddle boat you did? And 1 more question I saw you had a dog at the beginning of your video, did you take them with you. My mom is going with me and has an emotional support dog for anxiety .
Hey! I had also read reviews before going to Viva and I will say I agree with some and not others. I'll be honest, the food isn't the best. But, it's completely free and unlimited, along with the drinks. The bar/snack bar on the beach sometimes had better food than the buffet, so I'd be sure to check that out. You can also choose to go to one of the two restaurants there too, which I believe for the one time is free.That might be a different experience for individuals because we decided to become members so we ended up getting some extra benefits.
In terms of the rooms, we thought they were great! They were nice and clean with really good air conditioning. Again, we decided to upgrade so we started with a room that was a bit of a walk from all the action, but still very beautiful. That was the one in my video. After we upgraded we had an ocean view room which of course was stunning! Both rooms had Tvs, coffee pots, and nice sized bathrooms. All of the activities we did were free, like the kayaks and boats and everything. The only activities you'd pay out of pocket for are the excursions, which are not technically a part of the resort. You can pay for an excursion and the resort will arrange for you to go on it!
As far as the animals, the dog I saw was actually someone else's at an airport lol. We didn't take any of our own pets, so that would be something to ask the resort themselves. I hope all that made sense 😅 This was my first time at a resort so it took a little bit to get used to but honestly it was a great experience!
