Love the review! You did your homework lol Only one thing I probably need to bring it up, GAP is actually a television series, not a web series. It's the 1st Thailand GL and they're being broadcast on a local television (Channel 3: Thailand's TV channel), cut version. While for the uncut version, they share it on YT. It's understandable how many people mistakenly thought that GAP is a web series coz it's officially available through YT 😅 That being said, the impact of this series being shown on local TV was huge. Coz even though the BL industry are massive and has been welcomed in Th, GL was not and they thought it was risky so no one even dare to make one or even sponsored it. It's been quite an amazing journey they were even able to make it and become this internationally famous
So true. We are blessed with GL series in the western hemisphere for so long. We kinda forgot how this is still not as widely accepted in the East. IDOLFACTORY saw the chemistry between Freen and Becky during SCOY. They did an awesome job modifying the novel to adapt to this magnificent story. The cinematography, directing and of course Freen and Becky’s acting made this a master piece. Bravo 🎉
I feel like Cher's lecture about not caring about the laws and elders and allowing yourself to be happy with the person you love is setting up for Sam's conversation with her Grandmother. Sam will take Cher's words and use them to her Grandmother to stand up for herself. She was competitive with Cher at the end there, but in the end, she'll get her motivation from Cher.
I love your review!!!!! 8:20mins you said "Sam's got it bad"..I say "we have it bad for them"!!!! Mon's character was surely developed to another level. OMG, and what do we say about the making love scene in the office when Mon tells Sam don't resist me...? Their chemistry with the level of detail in this adaptation from the Yuri Novel its just amazing.
I read into the candles thing as a connection to her older sister Neung. In the scene where grandma burns Neung’s art you see a lighter throw down that lights the art on fire. It is the same lighter Sam uses repeatedly. So think the lighter and the candles holds a much deeper meaning to Sam.❤
the only thing i didn't love was the fact that mon didn't apologies for lying. Overall it was amazing, mon went from like zero to hundred in this, also the throat grab. we see you mon
I love that your review really take culture context into consideration. How you analyze Sam and Mons' reason for theirs action is truly on point and I found it refreshing to see from western perspective. I'm so glad that this series got all the love internationally. It's a starting point for wlw series in Thailand that finally happened.
Nita's and her interest in Sam was the only real plot hole that you really dont notice until the end it's it like 'huh okay guess that went no where after this episode?'
I think when Sam asked Mon if she would like to get married, it was more of Do you see this as something you want for us, cause though Sam has the Alpha energy her main focus is the happiness she gives Mon, I think if Mon asked for the moon Sam would have found a way to give it to her, yeah indeed a wrong time to ask but knowing Sam for her spontaneous is always the way to go or you would lose what you want or have. her grandma really did a number on her, to be honest.
This video got deep because the show is getting deep...this is how you handle issues in a show...much better than genq....I can't stop comparing smh the wounds of that show are still fresh I'm sawry
This episode had me finish the bottle of cabernet! Then when Mon hit that dom energy...ooof! I felt like a dirty old cougar lmao. That Kirk aka F boy energy 😞. How does a grown ass man run and snitch because he assumed and got his feelings hurt?! Kop got the message a lot faster. Love you does not equal in love with you.
Hopefully standing up to grandma Will really show Mon that she’s willing to fight for her and that class shouldn’t matter it’s what’s between them that matters love and no one can take it away after all they’ve already been through I wouldn’t have thought that would have been an issues and Sams a boss botch so everyone can piss off she’s def sure of what she wants even though it’s hard to communicate that sometimes 😅

This show is the perfect example of how the Sapphics will consume absolutely anything as long as it's gay, it's so bad it's actually funny but hey it's got two cute girls making out so 😂
@@V.Vv13 I'm from a country where you literally go to prison for being gay and we have exactly 0 same sex rep on tv and on screen but that doesn't change the fact that this show is objectively bad: it's so ridiculously cheesy and over the top, the plot and characters actions don't make any sense half of the time, the acting is on school play level, the excessive use of slow-mo and zoom on the actors faces for absolutely no reason...etc etc
