Actually,in muslim tradission,having pecture is haram or forbidden but in our generations specially when the touchscreen phone was inverted I don't think even 35% of us does follow the old tradition because even those woman who wear vail or face cover has its tiktok and a billion of vedio and pictures even tough we know it's forbidden.. It's "only" about human rights. Also in Turkey run away daughters and divorced women are not threatened with death, except in a few backwards living families. Dubai: The governments don't dare to say anything because we are economically dependent. But if public don't say anything, they carry on and nothing changes.

By the way I am a humanist, too, so I think to empower women rights is a must in the world and not to discuss. No intelligent ruler or husband must feel threatened because of it and it is consistent with muslims values ANYWAY and has nothing to do with the form of government !!!!!! So there is no reason to feel threatened or not respected, because a wife asks for a divorce or because a young princess or prince wants to live her/his own life away from home. No reason to threaten to beat, kill someone or take away kids or torture them, when they don't BEHAVE. What is wrong, is wrong. In contrary, if he and men in GENERAL are gracious they get much more respect and are a role model for many husbands. O.k. women like Diana with something like a boderline personality disorder with typical paranoia ideations are a threat for the monarchy, but a fast divorce 1986 would have solved the problem. But Dubais ruler has two daughters and a former wife who made similar experiences so public has to protect them. When we ignore, they "vanish" and suffer all their life or are dead. Has nothing to do with religion, culture or politics, but simple power over family members. I know that he has a complex character, he has a hard job, lot of responsibility and has very good and lovely sides, and BECAUSE of this there is HOPE !! Well, I guess he is not to old to change his opinion how to deal with family members to be less possessive - at least one daughter and one wife with her kids are allowed to life seperated and in peace? His poem where he wrote to his former wife, that she should soften her heart and forgive his mistakes is sweet and heardbreaking. But he really should understand that - nevertheless- a wife or child has to leave and to make her/his own decission although it hurts very much. Of course, I understand that he is hurt and angry. I remember seeing a huge poster of him on a building in 2018 in Sheikh Zayed road, and thought to myself, "Who is this handsome young man?". I thought perhaps he's a famous actor or a singer. Then as days went by, I was in a taxi and saw his poster again. I asked the driver, "who is that man" - pointing to the poster - the driver replied "Oh, him? He's the crown prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum!". I smiled, and said to myself "so that explains why he's this gorgeous". He's one very charming prince with a baby-face. :)
