Afternoon tea - very British guys 😍......this is one of the nicest afternoon platters we've seen. A nice comforting bowl of Vietnamese noodles. That Airbnb looked really cosy and comfy guys. Gnocchi is one of faves and that looked like an interesting one. Ice cream for the win.....great episode you two 😎

High tea was a very pleasant experience both for the food and the setting 😁👍Hamilton has come a long way the gardens are readily incredible and feature styles from so many different countries. Lol new Zealand has a thing for funny names 😅

😂 hahaha yup it certainly is going to be a far away travel for you. Asia and Australia are the closest bigger countries but even then Asia can take 10 hours and aussie mostly 3.5 to 6 hours to fly to 😅
Totally agree that high tea is never enough! We love Vietnamese food, it's good here in Malaysia, but it's a next level of deliciousness in Vietnam and I'm sure you guys will miss if after your trip!! 😆

Part of the reason Duck island is so famous is because of all the unique flavors they have. Apparently. They change things up every couple of months too 🤤

Damn, yet another expensive day out! Thanks for taking one for the team! The high tea was quite a level up in terms of the savoury dishes. No finger sandwiches in sight! Wow, crazy that Gothenburg doesn't do Swedish food. I wonder why they named it after that city. Loved the unique ice cream flavours at Duck Island too.
If we're doing a food episodes in New Zealand there's a pretty decent chance it will be a lil costly 😅 gothenburg was a surprising one for us too it's basically food from so many different cultures with a twist from their own chefs. Unique ice cream flavors definitely a hit 😊👌
Hahaha the salmon sashimi platter was the bomb. New Zealand salmon is world class I think even gets exported to Japan 😁 but the ice cream is also world class now that's a hard choice hahaha

😂 bought new slides just for the occasion the other pair was falling apart. Apparently cause of the waikato river stuff grows really well in Hamilton. The gardens and zealong are good evidence of that. I have serious problems with ice cream been eating way too much this winter 😅

That tea / tower of small bites look too pretty eat! I haven't tried this type of restaurant before but I know it's a "thing". Looks amazing and fun experience. 50% of population is under 30... That's like exactly opposite of where I live lol. My neighborhood is probably more like 40% over 50. I absolutely love Vietnamese food. Bahn MI seems slightly pricey but looks big and yummy. Pho is probably my go to hangover food 😂 My favorite Italian dish (other than pizza) is gnocchi. And.... Ice cream.. 😍😍. Another dope video guys 🙌
Hey bro yeah we were always waiting for the perfect spot to have our first high tea cause it is a bit of a "thing" these days. Happy with our first time being at Zealong, it was an awesome setting and yummy food. Food in general is kinda pricey here in New Zealand gotta admit but at least it tastes legit. I love Italian food eh gnocchi especially but seafood pasta is just ❤ gotta finish off with some ice cream 👍🤤

Hahaha wanted to show a range of places for this episode cause we've never treated Hamilton as a foodie destination. Satisfied with the flavor but to be honest I could have easily had another 1 or 2 even after that high tea 😂 glad y'all enjoyed it ✌

The only yummy icream place in H town was Wendy's back in the day lol. I'm really interested to try Duck Islands icecream simply for its unique flavors. "Sticky rice, coconut, peanut butta". But also to find out if that fact you heard is true. I grew up in Central Hawkes Bay, and there's there's a shop in Hastings called Rush Monroe's which for 40+ yrs has always been my personal favorite and quite frankly the best icecream in the country.
Hahaha Tauri I think we will have some excellent ice cream discussions. Its one of my favorite subject matters 😁👍 I've had rush monroe ice cream from the supermarket before but I think it will be a totally different experience from the real store. Gonna try it for sure on the bucket list 😁👍 my personal favorite for the last while has been Hagen das peanut butter. Been having a bowl a day for quite a while 😅 and yes totally agree Hamilton has come a long way in the food scene
The chicken pho was the bomb! Ingredients were super fresh and the chicken felt like it literally went from coop to bowl in minutes mmmm vietnamese food... 🤤
Interesting that they had quite a few Asian inspired flavors too. If we had stayed a lil longer would have tried more flavors but all good there is a store in Auckland now 😁👌

The garden is super beautiful, walking through the bamboo area reminded us of the bamboo forest in Kyoto. Gothenburg was an interesting spot they served food from so many different countries🤔😊

Peter and Yen yesss!!! I liked it. Did you? I think there are some parts that could’ve been better but all in all I’m pretty happy with how everything played out. Prior to watching it I saw a few people post on fb how the ending was the worst ending in history so I was nervous to watch it. I was shocked with the person they elected to rule the kingdom 😂 but I’m happy with it.
I'm a lil sad by the ending, I feel like John broke all the honor that he ever stood for by doing what he did. Left me kinda confused like the John I know wouldn't do that 😅 can't always be a happy ending I guess ah wells.... yeah the king is an odd choice too 😅

Evening Barry 😊👋 During our visit we were often told by the locals in Hamilton that Gothenburg is the best restaurant in town. If you enjoy your tapas style food with flavors from multiple different cultures that's the spot for you. I would say Gothenburg have put their own twist on the traditional dishes. Price-wise it is on the pricier end. Otherwise if you want a reasonably priced Asian dish the chicken pho from Saigon noon was very yummy.
Yeah never had gazpacho before and we were totally wondering about that cause it was a pani puri shell must be an extra lil twist for the high tea experience 👍😊

If we're doing a food episodes in New Zealand there's a pretty decent chance it will be a lil costly 😅 gothenburg was a surprising one for us too it's basically food from so many different cultures with a twist from their own chefs. Unique ice cream flavors definitely a hit 😊👌

Hahaha the salmon sashimi platter was the bomb. New Zealand salmon is world class I think even gets exported to Japan 😁 but the ice cream is also world class now that's a hard choice hahaha

😂 bought new slides just for the occasion the other pair was falling apart. Apparently cause of the waikato river stuff grows really well in Hamilton. The gardens and zealong are good evidence of that. I have serious problems with ice cream been eating way too much this winter 😅

That tea / tower of small bites look too pretty eat! I haven't tried this type of restaurant before but I know it's a "thing". Looks amazing and fun experience. 50% of population is under 30... That's like exactly opposite of where I live lol. My neighborhood is probably more like 40% over 50. I absolutely love Vietnamese food. Bahn MI seems slightly pricey but looks big and yummy. Pho is probably my go to hangover food 😂 My favorite Italian dish (other than pizza) is gnocchi. And.... Ice cream.. 😍😍. Another dope video guys 🙌
Hey bro yeah we were always waiting for the perfect spot to have our first high tea cause it is a bit of a "thing" these days. Happy with our first time being at Zealong, it was an awesome setting and yummy food. Food in general is kinda pricey here in New Zealand gotta admit but at least it tastes legit. I love Italian food eh gnocchi especially but seafood pasta is just ❤ gotta finish off with some ice cream 👍🤤

I'm really interested to try Duck Islands icecream simply for its unique flavors. "Sticky rice, coconut, peanut butta". But also to find out if that fact you heard is true.
I grew up in Central Hawkes Bay, and there's there's a shop in Hastings called Rush Monroe's which for 40+ yrs has always been my personal favorite and quite frankly the best icecream in the country.
Hahaha Tauri I think we will have some excellent ice cream discussions. Its one of my favorite subject matters 😁👍 I've had rush monroe ice cream from the supermarket before but I think it will be a totally different experience from the real store. Gonna try it for sure on the bucket list 😁👍 my personal favorite for the last while has been Hagen das peanut butter. Been having a bowl a day for quite a while 😅 and yes totally agree Hamilton has come a long way in the food scene

Peter and Yen yesss!!! I liked it. Did you? I think there are some parts that could’ve been better but all in all I’m pretty happy with how everything played out. Prior to watching it I saw a few people post on fb how the ending was the worst ending in history so I was nervous to watch it.
I was shocked with the person they elected to rule the kingdom 😂 but I’m happy with it.
I'm a lil sad by the ending, I feel like John broke all the honor that he ever stood for by doing what he did. Left me kinda confused like the John I know wouldn't do that 😅 can't always be a happy ending I guess ah wells.... yeah the king is an odd choice too 😅

Evening Barry 😊👋 During our visit we were often told by the locals in Hamilton that Gothenburg is the best restaurant in town. If you enjoy your tapas style food with flavors from multiple different cultures that's the spot for you. I would say Gothenburg have put their own twist on the traditional dishes. Price-wise it is on the pricier end. Otherwise if you want a reasonably priced Asian dish the chicken pho from Saigon noon was very yummy.
