Namaste and good morning Amanda, Qigong in the forest, love it. I've heard of the 5 element qigong, and the 4 seasons, but never really tried them, so much more to learn . Messed up my back at the gym on the abdominal machine, so I'm going slow and easy for awhile. Need to practice stretching and work on my core? Thank you so much for sharing and teaching this to us all, have a wonderful day Amanda.
Hello John! Sorry to hear you pulled your back, core work is always good but it takes time to build strength. Meanwhile, I hope you recover quickly. There's so much to learn, I agree! I'm still learning after twenty plus years. Qigong teaches you itself though - nice and natural, and in your own time 😊. Take care John.
New subscriber here. ☺Thank you most kindly for your generous time and heart to offer these wonderful videos! I've been looking for an instructor to learn some basics and I'm so Grateful I found you on YT! Your presence and style of teaching is exactly what I wanted. Much appreciated and Best, always!
Thank you very much for your wisdom. In the winter my lungs get very tight and painful and I always get a runey nose. I like your t-shirt I have 5 of them with a vneck, very comfortable. Take care and thank you again.
Such a beautiful practice on this cooler morning. It is my birthday on Sept 23 and am already thinking of what qigong to do!! Any suggestions for welcoming a new year and good health??
Ooh, happy birthday for 23rd, Joanna! The practice that came to mind was Wu Ji or Enlightenment qigong, it's a somewhat complex routine but so profound, and you can make any intention you want with it. It takes you round and round, each movement with a simple meaning, and you perform it four times to the four directions. I tend to do it on special occasions. 😊 I have put up a mini play list to teach the different sections. It's not the easiest form to teach on video, as it's so circular, but hopefully there's enough up to give you a good grounding. I'll add the link below.
ruclips.net/p/PLGVa89tsMCU_Q3F5HTVqsIJ0vQEhO0tSW You do the opening movement , then Earth and Heaven rounds, then closing. You should find at the end of one round that you're now facing one quarter clockwise, even though all your movements have been to the left, i. e. anticlockwise. This is a good thing! You repeat the full routine four times and should end up facing the way you started. I say 'should' - it's very easy to get absorbed in it and lose track 😊
You are so kind, Amanda! Thank you for this playlist. I will try this tomorrow morning. My day doesn’t feel right without one or two of your qigong routines in the morning. I tend to practice your routines until I get better at the movements because I usually don’t pick it up in the first try. The hand movements are always so intricate as well as the correct sides since I am mirroring your movements. The video description breakdown you include help me so much. Just know you are making a huge difference in my quality of life and happiness. I am disabled and live with chronic pain/illnesses and this is one of the only things I have found to help (along with daily acupressure). You are truly awesome for sharing your gift with the world.
@@Joannabanana1989 well, what a lovely thing to read. Thank you so much for sharing your story. One of the reasons I love qigong is that it truly helps. There are so many stories of qigong miracles - small and large, quiet and true. I've seen them in others and experienced my own share, and I'm so glad that these videos have helped you to find it for yourself. 😊 Well done for persevering and working at your practice - it's a long-term endeavour that builds on itself. It's very good to hear that it's bearing fruit for you! Happy birthday! Wishing you all the best for the year ahead 😊🌷
