AMAZING METEORA & METSOVO VILLAGE IN MAINLAND GREECE

🇬🇷WE STAYED FOR ONE WEEK AT THE BEGINNING OF OCTOBER 2022 IN PARGA AND STAYED AT THE REZI HOTEL - HERE'S WHAT WE GOT UP TO IN OUR TRAVEL DIARIES....🇬🇷
Day 4 - Day trip to Meteora one of Greece's Unesco World Heritage Sites. I pre booked the day trip from Parga town a few days before for around 55 euro and it picked me up from outside my hotel - Hotel Rezi which was handy as it was a 7am start. It took around 2.5 hours to drive to Meteora but we stopped off half way for a toilet and drink/snack break however, their electricity stopped working so we couldnt order anything! Luckily i brought some snacks and drinks with me. Meteora blew my mind, driving towards the monasteries high up on the rocks felt like we were driving through a film set, it was beautiful, unique and definitely worth the journey. We visited 2 main monasteries and drove around the others for photo opportunities. We had lunch in Kalambaka, then headed to Metsovo. Metsovo is a stunningly beautiful village in the mountains around an hour and a half away from Parga and we had around 45 minutes here to wander around or have a drink etc. We arrived back at Parga around 7.30pm so a long day but definitely worth it.
We flew from Gatwick to Preveza with TUI for 1 week starting from the 2nd of October 2022. We stayed at the Rezi Hotel which is situated in Parga town - we booked two rooms. We absolutely loved this hotel, very simple but clean, great breakfast, great bar and pool PLUS...only a few minutes walk to the nearest beach Piso Krioneri Beach and just a few more minutes walk to the main town beach and harbour.
Our first day here blew us away with it's beauty, the town has a gorgeous mix of old style geek and Venetian styling and even reminded me of Positano in Italy! The local people were super friendly and the weather was amazing all week we were there (we were lucky as October can be hit or miss).
Throughout the week, we went on two land train trips, a day trip to Meteora, a day trip to Acheron River, we walked to the castle a few times and over to Valtos beach so we found plenty to do. Ohh and we went swimming in the sea many times and even spotted an octopus on our last night beneath us!!
