Rebecca, I think you should make the content that feels meaningful to you. You are a lovely storyteller. I'm a very very busy (ex-)chronically ill carnivore who has to be selective about the content I engage with; I don't have the time or energy to keep up with a million recipes, rants, or interviews where the same 5 carnivore topics get repeated over and over with different guests. Out of hundreds of youtube subscriptions, at least 50 of which are carnivore channels, your channel is the only one I have ever enabled video upload notifications for. I watch your every video and I don't put you on double speed like I do with most others. I just love to hear you talk, share your thoughts and philosophy and show us snapshots of your life and the soon-to-be homestead. For me it's relaxing (your voice is so soothing!) and it fills me with a sense of peace and content to see a person thriving in a beautiful place, especially after so much suffering. That's what makes your content unique to me.
I think if people aren't interested in your channel because of the way you present it, then that's okay. I know there is pressure and desire to grow the channel and reach more people with your message, but you should tread carefully. I don't think any of your current audience wants to see you lose the spark of joy that drives you to create.

Although I do not fit your former profile of someone who is chronically ill and watching RUclips often, seeing your journey to better health and what you’re doing on your homestead is a true inspiration!! I honestly think your videos are great. I found your because I am shifting from keto to animal based as a way to treat a lot of my ms symptoms. It’s working … as long as I do what I know I need to do. You inspired me to go this way. You gave me resources for how to talk about it and how to stay true to myself because they are my needs. I don’t even care if this is a cure … it’s just a label anyway … what is important to me is that I feel better. With the label or not. I am more than the label and I deserve to feel good. This journey is about being connected to like minded people who also deserve to feel better.

I think your channel is perfect just as it is.
However, I can think of some things that I would love to watch you do. For example, you could show us around some of the sights of Galicia, take us on hikes and stuff, show us your animals and how you care for them, maybe show us some local carnivore cuisine, maybe take us grocery shopping, show us how to milk a goat (or whatever animals you get), that kind of thing. We just like to see your life.

I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt appreciation for the incredible content you have been sharing on your RUclips channel, documenting your journey of using the carnivore diet to help you manage Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Your unique perspective and insightful approach have truly made a difference in how I look at dealing with a chronic illness.
Your dedication to exploring the intersection of the carnivore diet and MS, and the way you eloquently share your personal experiences and insights, is nothing short of inspiring. The authenticity and depth with which you navigate this challenging journey resonate with so many individuals who are seeking alternative approaches to managing their health.
Your content has not only provided valuable information but has also fostered a sense of community and support for those navigating similar paths. Your unwavering commitment to transparency and education is commendable, and it is evident that you are making a meaningful impact in raising awareness about the potential benefits of the carnivore diet for individuals living with MS.
I am going through my carnivore journey and find the human aspect you present refreshing compared to some other carnivore related channels. Your dedication, courage, and willinigness to share your story with the world. I think your channel serves as a beacon of hope and empowerment to many, and I am truly grateful for the wealth of knowledge and inspiration you provide with each video you create.

  • @L.OB-1
    @L.OB-1 4 месяца назад +2

I think your content and the length of your videos is perfect. There are people for all sorts of reasons. As someone who was very unwell pre carnivore, following a primarily plant based diet that caused deficiency and led to mast cell activation, I think you are providing a hugely important service by giving your real life story of healing on carnivore. Its great that there are medical Drs and professors advocating carnivore and sharing studies, but this is a grass roots movement and it can only grow via these stories of healing from people like you! Personally I wish i could do something similar to get the word out! I really enjoy seeing how your life has changed, your health has transformed, your progress towards your new business, making new friends and experiences that have come out of this. This is all very motivating to people who have been or still are ill.
One thing id like you see you do, as someone who is skilled at research, maybe provide some information into how potentially carnivore has healed your MS symptoms. Not suggesting you can come up with medical answers, but maybe some insight into what are the common factors of those with MS? Is it nutrient deficiency, toxins from pesticides, stress, gut dysbiosis? Other conditions like coeliac, viruses or sensitivities genetic predisposition etc. and how carnivore might help. I think this is important for those who may be suffering MS and have been indoctrinated by mainstream health and dietary guidance and are not sure about trying carnivore - as i was. i had heard carnivore was healing from various people in a FB group, but i dismissed it because it was so far out. It wasn't until i got nowhere with the NHS, except drugs that did nothing and caused more side effects, that i consulted a functional nutritionist, recommended by someone in a UK group and he explained why my diet was deficient and suggested i read The Carnivore Code, that i finally started to wake up.

I'm so with you here. Shorts are great for initially reaching new subscribers because the algorithm pushes them further, and I like the method that people will use to essentially announce a new video by sharing a short that summarizes its content. Then, folks who want the deep dive and actual expertise can watch the full video.
And regarding trying to decide "who to speak to", to avoid repeating yourself, I struggle with that too. I like when people put a link to a previous video that goes into the subject mentioned, almost like a footnote, instead of repeating it. But, I also think that with some stories, it's important to go into detail there and then, for it to make sense.
When it comes to just sharing that you're cured through a carnivore diet, I think an intro added to all videos, that's just a sentence or two long, would be the simplest solution.
We love seeing into your life and hearing the stories. It really is that much better than a simple list of what's improving as time goes on.

I have a couple of suggestions:
think you don’t actually have type of video I was looking for from you. I wanted a video explaining your illness and improvement and current health. I like listening to keto /carnivore transformations. I was looking for more detailed explanation with “receipts” photos of tests, mris, exact dates and meditations you were on, dates and exact diagnosis. Of course I expect that you will make all the relevant details private, like address etc. Then current photos , maybe videos of you walking before and after.
I would also like to see you walking to a shop in your area. Or looking at beautiful nature. Anything that would make your location unique to a foreigner.
Also what’s different about homesteading in Spain compared to in America for example

Thank you for your detailed suggestions. I don't actually have material like that or I would have shared it. I don't have access to my brain scans, I'm not on any medication, and there aren't any special tests for MS (except MRIs) - it's largely symptom-based, so my symptom/relapse-free life is all I can offer really. Maybe what you were hoping for was one single video that bullet points things, which I will endeavour to create 👍Also I've also never lived in America, so I don't know about homesteading there!

Rebecca you are on the mark in my opinion re your videos and I am one primarily homebound due to MS and lack f ramp in my building to leave easily though fortunate to have a balance only which brings joy as trees ++ around. Just moved from Jerk to try carnivore. A little overwhelmed with the physical work as this is the first week in 3years that have cooked for myself and not used a meal program (was tossing the grains and carbs and most of the veges. So weak in my arms and standing alone is an effort but hopeful (not naive though!). Clarity in thinking hugely improved since Keto Adapt Your Life and trying same but no veges to see if some improvements might be seen. Would live one in awhile to see your meals for a couple if days. Eating bacon, eggs and steak and delish but so physically tired in my arms etc. Committed to this so will keep on and see! You were recommended by another RUclips person that got me curious so interested and inspired and happy for your new life! Take care!

Your videos are just fine. And may i say that you have very beautiful eyes, did the color change and did your vision improve during carnivore ? I am living carnivore for almost 5 years now and my eye color changed and my vision is mutch better and most important i am never sick. 👍😁

Maybe I'll try going without my glasses and see if I still get them... So glad to hear your vision has improved and you are never sick! 👍👍👍

How about some videos on what you eat in a day? Show us what you're cooking and eating, I've gone (apart from cheat days, I know, terrible) carnivore to heal my inflammation and always interested in what others are eating, to gage whether I'm eating the right amount myself. Home and property updates are good too.

I would not have given that narcissist so much of your attention. He wanted to get your attention by picking at you like a juvenile & you fell for it. And now you've given the narcissist even more attention. You have hundreds (perhaps thousands?) of "fans" who love your videos just as they are...long, short, full of lots of info or even if you're running errands, etc...
As soon as I see that you've uploaded a new video, it's the first one I watch! It sounds as if I'm scolding you. It's not my intention but just to ask you to focus on those of us who love you & your videos. Not to focus on one narcissist who wanted to fill his black hole by draining you & getting you to focus on him & doubt yourself. Give him no thought or attention....please 🙏 nor any in the future.
    Be you ❤

Emily Penton also put her MS into remission with a carnivore diet. She had an interview on SteakandButtergal's channel, where I think she explained how long it took and things like that.

I agree that it's a shame he didn't do it for longer. Maybe there are other environmental factors compounding his case, e.g. black mould / stress ... ?? lots of things other than sugar can cause inflammation in the body. Please give him my best wishes and tell him I have continued to improve over time, so it's worth sticking it out.

I wouldn't normally be critical but you've asked. When you showed us your home in a previous video you just fast walked through a grassy area. My advice would be to slow down next time and really think about what is or isn't in the frame. I hope you do another tour because I think your stone house and outbuildings are really cool.

Don't worry about repeating yourself. If you remade the same video every week people would watch it. In fact if you want to grow a brand you should consider repeating your basic story at the beginning of every video. New subs need to know how amazing your story is.

Perhaps you took the comment a bit too literally ! Prob not meant as a criticism , more a lighthearted observation .
Am sure they , like the rest of us , really enjoy watching your videos but they simply wanted a slightly tighter editing w less repetition of that particular vlogs activities .
Given many of today’s comments , I think seeing more of your medical results, your life before carnivore compared to now , your current meal preps , shopping in local town , seeing the area , interviews w fellow MS sufferers etc would help flesh out your vlogs . What you feel about metaphysical reasons for such a disease vs purely medical ( eg Gabriel Mate on his views of neurological illnesses etc ) Life philosophy & pondering the big questions of LIFE ……
It was really lovely to meet your dad … perhaps more ab your life in UK & why you chose such a major upheaval by moving to a culturally foreign, patriarchal , seemingly patronising country during such a critical stage of your health journey . I know you r a translator but I wonder why you couldn’t perhaps have found work doing that in UK at a time when your health and stability seemed to be of paramount importance . I can u/s embarking on such an adventure when all other factors are equal, but given your health issues why you chose to compound the odds . Friends, family and the familiar are what most of us would likely choose at such a cross road …. genuinely interested in knowing more of the whys, wherefores and deep diving into your views .
Meanwhile , keep on vlogging and keep well and happy bc you are delightful

I've covered the reasons for my move in previous vids, but will happily do another video on the topic 🙂Since you were wondering though, Brexit was the reason I moved when I did, because I knew that after Brexit the door to Spain would be forever closed, and then I would lose my Spanish, which was my only means of potential work. Also because it is a sunnier country offering a healthier outdoor lifestyle, which would improve my condition and ultimately get me back into work. Also UK too expensive, and harder to live off-grid as not enough sun. I had nothing left in the UK. My whole life there fell to pieces. Spain was really the only viable option, but Brexit forced the issue at a time when I was barely well enough. Did it though, and so glad I did. Haven't set foot in the UK since. Great suggestions for video topics! Thank you❤

Show us your test results that state that your ms is gone! I could share this with so many clients, if i knew it worked... but so far your videos, where you say your ms has been gone were basically you talking alot and not even reciting doctors or showing any proof. If you wanna go to the next lvl you gotta act like it... a timeline would also be interesting if your docs are currently not cooperating... a timeline were you show when it started, which symptoms, which diet throughout the years... just an idea

    • @cabanachronicles
      @cabanachronicles  4 месяца назад +1

A timeline is a great idea 👍but I can't create test results that don't exist! (my next MRI is later this year fingers crossed). I have interviewed my neurologist and my dad who is a doctor... I guess this 'proves' I'm not misrepresenting my life story. But in terms of a 100% cure for MS, there is no proof I can provide at this point, except that my daily symptoms have vanished, I'm having no relapses of nerve failure, and I can walk around, hold a conversation and live independently again. Even if I did find some form of 'proof' for my case, my neurologist would still dismiss it, and people would complain they need a larger study with more cases for it to count.
