- I go through my process of making roads out of brushwork in source; note this is pretty heavy on brushes;
***** it's a good idea to convert the roads to .mdls to save on filesize and make sure your map doesn't hit the brush limit
Lmao I use the same voicemod as you and I always leave Spaceman on without the background and forget about it. Thanks for the video
This is so useful, I feel more people need to see this!
Need a V2 of this tutorial. c:
И ты здесь?)

Thanks ;D
I know mapping in hammer is known to be sorta tedious sometimes, but would this had been easier just using displacements? (And if that texture didn't work with displacements just use other texture)
Edit: Though the video name says it's with brushwork so I believe that this could be a useful technique nevertheless
You could probably get this look using displacements but it would take far longer and you'd probably need to make custom textures; hammer is very limited with its displacement editing tools
what mic do you use?
Nice, gave me some ideas to implement in my map... 👍
Pls use less that "tsk" sound 😁
Noticed it too, hahah
Wasn't it easier to use displacement ???
you couldnt get this texturing with displacements, and it would be a much bigger pain

Where do i get road textures man?
These are the default road textures youll find already in most source games except maybe csgo or tf2, theyre from half life 2. Filter for 'concrete' in the texture browser
