Hey Richard, Thanks for your tip. You are right, that is a great idea when you have the case on your GoPro. Hey just watched your video of your bike trip in the Tatacoa Desert! That looked so cool!. Great footage by the way. Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching! All the best to you over there in beautiful Colombia.
Hey @Onzi0 ! Thanks for your comment. I don't quote understand what you mean about rotating the skeleton door. Do you mean the rear door of the protective casing ? Once you lock the gopro inside the case , you would then need to rotate the floating grip or selfie stick it is attached to, to get a vertical shot with your gopro . Unless your grip has a ball head mount . I hope this helps but if you have any more details pls let me know
Just wondering if the rear door can be replacement with the genuine gopro hard case open doors, only reason is we use mine on a race car and want the audio still but need to protect the camera from dirt
Hey Tim! great name btw ! I don't own the genuine gopro hard case so I can't really comment on that , mate. This telesin one does a good job but as you can imagine it has a bit impact on the sound. What might work for you is to have a mic set up in the vehicle - maybe have it connected to your smartphone- and then add it to your footage in post. All the best with your racing, mate.
Do what I did, specifically for protecting my GoPro from dirt and rocks for dirt track racing. Locate the microphone locations on your GoPro, and drill out those spots to improve the audio. I also drilled out a bunch more holes in random spots to help with heat dissipation. Hope this helps!
@ToddReuterOutdoors Hey Todd! Thanks for yr comment! I love this idea and I can see how it would work perfect for your activity. Not so much for deep sea diving but great for racing . Thx for sharing and all the best out there on the track.
Hey Gaurav ! Thanks for your comment. The Telesin case is great for use underwater but above the water it cuts out too much audio. A Better idea would be something like this awesome cage from PGYTECH . ruclips.net/video/mFNKKp_kirM/видео.html
This very cool cage It's tough as it's made of aluminium, it doesn't cover the mics, it has cold shoe mounts and it gives you access to USB C in case you want to charge it or connect it to an external battery. I hope this helps
Hey follordo! thanks for your comment ! I have used the casing and lenses featured in this video since. I've got a video coming out shortly where I put them to the test while snorkelling a nearby reef. The pros are the lenses bring out more color in the bluer or greener under water setting. The cons I've discovered are that drops of water don't disappear once you get out of the water. The Gopro hyperphobic lens repels water so you don't have that issue if you are just using a gopro. Pink and magenta are normally best for snorkelling but if you are going deeper than 10 ft I'd suggest the red lens. I hope this helps
Hey kky1970! Thanks for your comment! Yes, you can definitely change settings using the quik app as long as you have paired it to the gopro and it's in range. You can also change some settings by pressing the mode and shutter buttons at the same time. A menu will appear on the front screen and you can use the mode button to find your favourite setting. I hope this helps. Thankyou for supporting my channel. I'm glad you've been enjoying it ! All the best.
Hey Rob, Thanks for your comment. The GoPro Protective Housing is around $80 AUD, which doesn't include dive filters like this Telesin one, so I thought that was a pretty good deal. If you just want to buy the housing it costs around $20 AUD. What brand is the gear that you bought all that equipment for that price? Cheers
I just purchased this, thank u for the review
Hey Nat! Glad you liked my video and hope you have lots of fun with this cool accessory. All the best to you.

when you rotate the gopro with the skeleton door it does annoying noise when recording. Do you know why and how to fix that?

Can I use this protective case for general use like vlogging ?? Is it advisable to use ?

Have you managed to use this in your work? Are there any pros or cons? And which filter is better to use for a depth of 5-20 meters?

Or using shutter button to change recording mode presets
These cases are great but 40 bucks for just the case? I ordered a whole kits that has mounts and floating stick, filters etc for that price
