Since this is made in ICF, Chennai, (proud) it can be run between Chennai-Bangalore route for observation. This train is multi-traction motor axle for quick acceleration and fit to run 160km/hr. So, it is a replacement for Shadapti express run by WAP7. But, it is going to run in Delhi, Agra, Bhopal routes. Why ? Thamizhnadu and Karnataka are also part of India. Right...
This train is ideal for long distance straight tracks!.Chennai Bangalore track is full of sharp curves with up and down gradients which limits the speed to maximum 120-130 kmph in straight sections!.lf we try yo run this as nonstop service between chennai and Bangalore,we can hope for travel time between 3 and 1/2 to 4 hours only! Nothing faster than that!.
In this route we have Tejas express, which has LCD screen for each seat, bio-vacuum toilets, Wi-Fi, etc. But it is more expensive than shatabti express
Present track between chennai to Madurai is not suitable for high speed !.Trains may speed upto 110-120 kmph!.No more!. The track should be upgraded(strengthened) from the present 52Kg/ foot to 60Kg ( heavier ) track.Then the train can go more than 160 kmph.Because of the present weak tracks, cracks appear periodically due to too much usage and wear resulting in cutting the cracked section and welding new section every week!.
Maintaining is the main thing when Introducing these kinds of trains in our India . If the maintenance and the people responsibility to keep it clean is good means our country will easily become a developed nation.
