I'm so glad I watched this video because there's quite a lot of information. Had no idea of information being shared by Companies House with credit referencing agencies. Thanks 1st Formations.
Thanks Sam. Yes, Companies House are obliged to provide credit reference agencies with residential addresses where required. Do you have a limited company?
Thank you for the insightful videos and knowledge this channel shares. It is hugely useful for people like me who are still new in running a limited company. It is greatly appreciated!
@@1stformations keep up the great content making all your videos are filled with great information and guidance on point not waiting hours to get to the point like few others I’ve come across 😂 and yeah we are London based company who specialise in hybrid import cars and MPV if you’re in need of one you know we’re phone call away
Hi Amelia. There is no penalty for providing Companies House with residential address information late; however, should you be caught doing this because a government body is attempting to visit your address or investigate a matter, having incorrect information on the public record could be seen as an aggravating matter.
@@1stformations Hi Nicholas, I hope you're doing well, as far as topics I'd like you to cover in future videos, it's how in the future know how to do business returns if there's a profit and if there's no profit, before you call an accountant. Thank you for your interest in helping us 🙏
Interesting question John! In general terms, only shareholders who possess over 25% of shares in a company are required to inform Companies House when they move address, as they then constitute a PSC. There is no general rule for all shareholders, even with minority shareholders, to update their residential address with Companies House.
Thanks for your enquiry, Keziah. We are indeed! Please send us an email to support@1stformations.co.uk, or call us on 020 3897 2233 and we can assist you with removing your residential address from your company's history on Companies House public register. Do you need to do this now?
Thanks for your question Max. The answer is - Yes - you have to fill in forms for both the director and PSC when the address is changed, as these are not directly linked together internally on Companies House register. Do you need to do this at the present time?
I have registered my ltd uk company with someone my friend commercial address recently now approximately 3 months gone and they are not providing me UTR number so I am unable to access my company login dashboard on HMRC and unable to change my friend address to my virtual POA uk address So there anyway to get my UTR number online? can you help me to and give me to find out my companies house authentication code online? please
Thanks for your question. Unfortunately there is no way to receive your UTR number online, HMRC will only send this online to the company's registered address. We recommend you change your company's registered office address to an address which you are able to receive mail to. What is the reason you are unable to change your friend's address to your virtual UK address?
Director address changes do need to be submitted within 14 days of the change taking place using the form CH01. Failure to do so is an offence committed by the company and its officers and it can lead to a fine if convicted (as well as a daily default fine for every day the situation is not corrected). We would suggest, if you have a late filing to update a director address to make, that you submit it as soon as possible. Are you planning to file a director address change late?
Such an informative video! Thank you, 1st Formations!

thanks for the information. Did you pluck your eyebrows?😉
Nicholas does indeed pluck his eyebrows to ensure his sartorial elegance matches his competence level in company law! Did you find the video useful?
I still say there is too much public information available for id theft etc.
It's an interesting point. Remember though, it is possible to form a company without any home addresses being placed on the public register.
