They literally call him a crazy yank, I don't think he is trying to play crime reporter who is British, rather an American who works as a crime reporter for a British Newspaper.
Shame about all the smoking, quite a lot of boozing as well.Sid James with a questionable Italian accent? What would Tony Hancock say or Kenneth Williams.?
I agree with you.Too much smoking and definitely too much boozing. Today's films are rife with bad language , drunkenness, and uninhibited sex scenes. What's worse? It'll all kill you in the end one way or other. Boozing seems to be the thing to do these days. You can buy it everywhere. Still have drunks driving and killing people. It's just so sad.
It's a shame there were poor people back then but that's life same with the smoking and drinking , why not be concerned with the rising social acceptance of obesity going on today that's killing people faster than smoking did .
thanks for the tester!
...did you see the small headline about the rising cost of living @ 2:15 minute mark...
I always look and study the background 😅
Sydney James and the other main guy are excellent actors
Bloody good film
A lot of smoking in those days possibly medical tobacco.
Very good movie.
Low budget, low quality movie filmed in a wharehouse - with an American (unconvincingly) playing the part of a British crime reporter!

Croc of sentimental garbage with unconvincing acting and a laughable script.

The boozing and the smoking? It was the sixties. That's what people did.
@@markymark8231 Actually filmed in the early fifties.
Yes, much better they were human zeriods like folk are today in this new wonderful world of ours , where everything in the garden is simply lovely.
