My anxiety would be through the roof sitting in the middle of a lake in a kayak. It has always amazed me how you float and troll in the middle of the lake with no issues lol
Good looking cats. In Boone you never know what you might hook or how big. Cherokee is better for big blues but Boone still has some. Stay safe out there. 🎣👍🙏
Biggest cat I ever caught was around 35 lbs, a flathead out of the North fork of the Holston River. Justin fishes a lot of tournaments. There’s a lot of big cats in his area. There’s also a lot of contamination and advisories against eating those fish. That’s why there are so many big cats in the area. Another good day on the water!
@ I wish I could post pics on here, I caught a 39lb blue by Pickens on the bluffs , but if you want to catch big flathead goto beech creek man I can show you several pics of fish over 60lbs
awesome catfish
Thanks, catfish are a blast.

To be honest with you, I’ve been kayaking so long that it just seems completely normal to me at this point.

Yes, my goal is to catch a huge flathead before the end of the year. Fingers crossed I come across a monster.
I have pics of blues out of boone, they have been stocked on very small numbers since 92 on boone
Good to know, hopefully one day I’ll catch one.

What’s the make on your rod holders. Like those Catfish, my Wife’s favorite eating
Stealth QR2 rod holders. You can order them online or get them at bass pro shops. They’ve been great for both of the kayaks I’ve used over the years.
OMG He let another one go.
Yeah, a lot of mercury in the big fish. I’m very selective about what I keep.
