You forgot something completely essential when discussing Suzutsuki. She has a MGM +1. She's a Kitakaze with slightly lower FP, but slightly higher Main Gun Efficiency, an insane smokescreen and a very significant self buff.
You ended not fully talking about Shinano's MLB bonus, potentially 4/3/4, so 8 torpedo bombers and 3 dive bombers is the highest amount of planes per airstrike, without barrage.

They're not suited for PvP obviously... when you have cruisers with really high AA (Not like Sandy cause she's busted, but ones like Montpelier, Cleveland, or Helena) with skills that buff their AA massively is it even worth it to run a DD for AA? I get the idea of the smokescreen but 5 seconds? You've gotta proc that skill quite a a bit. Seems hella powerful with a bit of luck but that's luck you're running off of.
Just wanted to add that every Akizuki-class gets MGM instead of a extra torp base, so their FP is actually on par if not better then kitakaze, what kitakaze has is a better gun mod that really helps.
First, her rigging has 100mm rather than 127mm guns. You can see in World of Warships that they have 4 rather than 3 turrets but only 1 set of quad torpedo tubes. I think I know why her skills are like that, she is one of the survivors for Operation Ten-go.

I've been saying this the whole time. It's an undeniable fact this game got massive Japanese bias. JP event or no this crap is not excusable. If the only way for them to cater to JP is to suck them off like Kancolle does, then this game needs to die. This is the same thing that happened in Kancolle, all these shipgirl devs always forget the US Navy exists and when they do remember like this game, it's just to fuck them over, because O no, we can't let those Americans be the best that they were.

damn that Suzutzuki skillset makes me really want to get her, all i got was a Shinano and a Kii, i should'nt feel bad about these pulls but damn Suzutzukis skills and her beeing a maingun+1 ijn destroyer makes me really want to pull her over the other ships this event
That "hedgehog depth charge" is actually disgustingly powerful, the range, reload speed and the damage output is overwhelming the current purple "improved depth charge" we have. I equiped it on Z-23 (level 120) and she totally rekt chapter 10 submarine boss (or 10-5) in just 2 hits.
Nagato Shinano Kii Noshiro Naganami Jintsuu is probably best IJN comp rn. Kii's buff to Torp stat will contribute a lot to her viability, combined with noshiro naganami and jintsuu, and you're looking at +65% torp stat. And most importantly is her +15% aviation boost. She can buff shinano's +30% Avi buff to make it +45% and another +20% dmg from nagato, making shinano hit even harder. Let's not forget that kii's barrage is very good as well. As for shinano, her barrage's scaling is actually very high, because it's based on air power, also, +45% AVI boost combined with +20% dmg is very high dmg if you factor in her 437 AVI stat.
This is a pretty decent torp meme fleet. Will have to test. Would be shocked if the 10% torp boost will be worth the 10% eva rate boost from Amagi though. Shinamagi back like will probably be near Namagispite, Namagiryuu, and NamagiFDG for T1 PvP comps. The VG you mentioned is the standard torp meta rn (although I still prefer the Azuma meta myself).

(20 seconds on average) whereas Namaryuu or namaspite has very high dmg that fire quickly in particular amagi with fcr. Namaspite has high dps and the dmg comes quickly, whereas nagato shinano kii take a while to dish out massive dmg. What about nanakai? (Nagato shinano warkai) i think warkai can conpensate for the lack of early dps.
Dont give up. Just do you 3 daily builds for the next 2 weeks. Store up come cubes, do as many cube commissions. And then do a giant pull at the end if you still dont have her. You should also be close to the safety net by then too. You should get her.
Don't know if this was covered elsewhere but you seem to have taken the skill description from the Wiki - there's a discrepancy between the Wiki skill description and the ingame skill description for Kii. Wiki says 15% AA but in-game her description starts at 5% AVI
3 discrepancies: Kii - AVI vs AA Suzutsuki - EVA vs Evasion rate Shiden - 4x20+2x13 vs 8x20 As far as I can tell the former (in game) is an incorrect translation and the latter (wiki) is correct.
I’m extremely new like less than a month in and this event was trying to butter me up I think, in 40 pulls I got 2 Shinano, 2 Suzutsuki, 2 Chiyoda, and 1 Chitose, with Kii and Kumano being available in currency and event stuff that basically means I’ve got every ship except the new type. Kii I think will be really good for an IJN Battleship as I don’t have the other event locked ones obviously. Shinano I think will do really well for me as well, I also have Yukikaze already so the IJN fleet is coming together quite nicely, I really need to get Z23 though so I can finally get Ayanami and start retrofitting her as I just finished retrofitting Laffey today.

would you know if her buffs to cv/cvl also apply to her? additionally do you know if the required 3 ijn ships for the buff, is she part of that count, or would you need 3 additional ijn ships?
So what I'm getting from Shinano is she's basically a Tanky Boss CV. Also, her barrage is based on her placement in the fleet, so running her in the flagship position will get the most out of it. However by doing that, you will have to trade Nagato for the flagship, which I'm not sure is worth doing.... Maybe Kaga/Akagi in the 2nd and 3rd slots to capitalize off of Shinano's CV buff, and Shinano herself as the flagship?
Yes, her barrage is based on placement sadly. So flagship would be best in a vacuum (obviously Nagato's buff is more important). Triple CVs fleets are not really recommended. I think it's probably just worth taking the less accurate barrage in the side slot (like how you use Amagi).
Sooo which kind of sakura carrier would be great to pair with shinano? Because right now i also have her paired with nagato (who i put in the flagship area of course) so now im wondering who should be the other sakura carrier?
If it's PvP, then Hiryuu is the answer. In PvE it gets less important. You could use Hyuuga or Taihou. Maybe Ryuuhou if you need the heal. It becomes less important then. And with both you don't necessarily need to "pair" a CV with her.
I think that Shinano's debuff is for Challenge mode or some ex battles where there is only 1 enemy for the whole match. Buffing each other's stats is sort of a trend for Sakura empire. She fits that trend well. I wonder how her buffs and skills will work with the new raids. If those are set up like challenge or ex bosses she should be interesting with all her fleet buffs. Amagi/Nagato/Shinano Noshiro/Kitakaze/Ibuki will probably be a thing seen quite often
The smoke screen of Suzutsuki isn´t that special. 40% evasion rate for 5 seconds with 30% activation chance is the same smokescreen like Leander or Black Prince, just without a barrage. Belfast by the way has 35% evasion rate but also 35% dmg reduction against planes. But i think it will help a lot in a IJN fleet, idk if there was anything similar available to IJN before.
Yes, but the ship is fairly strong elsewhere with the other skill, barrage, and MGM+1. Stats are decent and like you said, she gets the benefit of being a more synergistic faction.

I want to ask about shinano planes. On the secon lb it says +2 torp plane so if you equip a torp plane in the first slot? Does it give you 11 planes in total with 8 torp plane?
I guess kii's barrage is ok in w13 if you put her on top position, since lots of command and repair ship spawn near the top. So w13 IJN mob fleet could be Nagato, Kii/Shinano, Ryuuhou, Yukikaze, Isuzu, Azuma/Noshiro
I mean you COULD use that as a mob fleet, but many of those ships are boss fleet ships. Lost potential. For example Shinano is a boss fleet ship and to some extent so are Kii and Nagato.
Hi! I don't know if this will help, but I noticed that the stats and skills you've shown for Kashino was for Shinano's instead. I got confused until I saw the name. Haha
The two Elite (SR) carriers are kinda trash in stats and skills because they're Seaplane Tenders, essentially the lightest carriers possible. Makes it easier to make them unfortunately not that great instead of creating another new class on top of the new Transport class. The only way I'd see myself using them is in a Houshou exp grind fleet for PR for Izumo, exp 1 for Azuma, or some unnamed other backline ship for that one remaining slot in PR3 (assuming one is ever filled in there) or in PR4.
@@N0thing2SeaHere For her AVI, it's not much different than Essex or Saratoga which barely see play outside W13 because of the janky W13 requirement. For a UR ship, it's not that game breaking.
1st pull Chitose 2nd pull Shinano. Thank the lord. I thought I was gonna miss her like Bismark or force myself to spend all the cubes in the world... But looking at her skills she's kinda viable in PvP if you run an IJN fleet but I think she's probably better suited for PvE. Kinda Hybrid? None of her skills REALLY stand out as great PvP skills (like an IJN buff, crazy barrage, sizeable debuffs, immunity, sniper, big heal, etc) but they're nice in PvP. But I guess she could compete with Hiryuu. Whether the extra tankyness makes up for the 15 seconds of immunity + extra strike. Maybe a case of giving alot different skills but none of them standing out as particularly great.
Yes that's kinda how I feel. She's got the stats to be PvP, but also CVs are at a significant disadvantage in PvP. Her skills scream PvE. Maybe Hiryuu raid would be a good use for her to stand out.
I see. How long of a break time are we gonna have after this event ends? I saved upto 300 cubes but am not sure if I should spend it all on this banner unless theres time to resave cubes later
@@LamaChicanery They didn't really talk much about the next event. I'm not sure. I know we have a DoA collab coming soon, as well as some Ashes ships (which I assume will be after OS implementation). However given we are more or less synched with JP, we might get a little rest afterward.
Fun fact, the Shinano was 1 of the 5 Yamato class ships in the Japanese fleet during WW2. It is still to this day one of the biggest ships that was sinked by a submarine.
I've been trying to work out a late game capable IJN main fleet. Shinano is huge for that. Obviously nagato. Still wondering is amagi is worth it while not flagship in PVE. Since her barrage loses a lot of value in PVE outside of center.
She still gets to fire at about 8s, and the torp part of the barrage is targeted. She is still very solid. Not a total lock like PvP, so some alternatives exist. One example might by Kii or Tosa.
Welp. First SSR was sutsozuki (forgive me of I misspelled), then Enty, then Lusty, then Montpelier, and finally Shianao. 20 something cubes. I think I did well.

I am guessing that when Yamato and Musashi is released one of them is going to have a class buff for all three of them, kinda like Bismark does for Tirpitz.
According to my own calculations, Suzutsuki, with her MGM+1, has gun damage nearly comparable to Sandykai when at max output. Obviously her AA isn't as absurd, but at least she has *functional* torpedos. Also, her smokescreen actually isn't new, it's the same smokescreen as Leanderkai or anyone other than Belfast has. So is she OP? I mean, her damage is good, and she's probably the best gunboat DD other than the two obvious. Other than that... meh? Needs some more practical testing to be sure.
I had initially only calculated against Sandykai, but here are my results with Tash and Kita. Kita (as expected) loses pretty soundly against light-armored targets, but wins against medium and heavy because well that's just what she does. Tash, on the other hand... In a fleet with 5 other IJN ships, Suzutsuki's dps will match Tashkent's, if we assume they would be using Tash's gun. If there's even one IJN missing from a full fleet, Tashkent wins.
Though, this comes with a caveat, as (to me at least) it's still uncertain whether Suzut's skill has the number of IJN ships count towards the max number of stacks she can have. If it doesn't, she can increase her own FP by a maximum of 60%, and you get the numbers above. If it does, then the max increase is 30%, and her damage output is significantly worse; her light armor DPS with Tashgun is just slightly higher than Kita's.
You kinda underrated Kii, her barrage can be really good vs mobfleets, bcs it fires the second wave with a delay, so it may hit the just spawning new line of enemies. She will definetly be good, bcs Nagato is mainly a bossfleet BB, and we didnt really have a good sr IJN BB for mobkilling. The antiair boost can be really strong with the new IJN ships with high antiair
I mean she's a solid above average BB, but went you compare to Nagato, Amagi, FDG, Warspite, Howe she leaves little to be desired. Her delayed barrage could be good for PvE mob fleets though. Good point.

I got two of each (except for Kii but she's farmable) , even got 2 Shinano in only 28 pulls. I feel so freaking lucky. I was expecting to waist all 200 of my cubes and not end up getting Shinano at all.
We need to wait and see how shinano is going to perform when her 2 sisters get released, probably one of them(maybe both) will have some buff like Bismarck have when sortied with her sister. Imagine the tankiness of a full yamato main fleet and the loads of debuffs they will inflict when together
Ya. Or they could go the sniper route like WS or the full FP beast like FDG. Would seem weird to have Yamato and Nagato compete with each other for faction boost.
@@AzurLaneMeta Yamato was the main flagship of IJN after she got built so we can guess she will have the same buff or better variation from Nagato's buff and probably in the same skill it will have a defensive barrage like FDG and Tosa. About the FP we don't know if she is going to get a better FP than FDG but would make sense to since it have the biggest cannons ever built
As someone who doesnt have Nagato or Amagi, I will say that Kii is very, very effective. Especially with the 10% AVI boost for the Sakura Carriers, helped my Crane and Fox fleet greatly.
Azur Lane Meta as a CN server player, with how much oil that I keep getting as well as using a very good fleet with low oil use for mobs killing, yeah...that not a problem for me there :P
Shinano have a 5 less Air Power than Retrofit Saratoga. And i am checking the list right now, SR air craft carrier all have less air power than Shinano and Saratoga.
I love that even you say the entire IJN faction is bloated and overloaded. It's sad that Kii, who is on par in terms of power with Monarch (PR1), has no place, is considered "bad" and will never be used just because the rest of the faction is just so damned overpowered. Suzutsuki is also insane, she had MGM+1 so she might be lacking in the torpedo department but with how easy it will be to stack that plane buff...good god, that's just crazy in my eyes. Meanwhile just randomly 40% Eva Rate smokescreen, stacking that with Amagi that is just 50% Eva Rate...that is not ok.
I guess it is all relative. If Kii was a USS ship, she'd be best of second best BB. But she doesn't quite make top 3 in IJN. However, 4 fleet content will help her at least see play.
This event has some decent sub maps, but still better to go with the regular damage. But yes the hedgehog is top of class for if subs ever do become relevant.
I have to admit i was expecting more from Shinano. I would have been happy with her as a SR, but given that it is more difficult to acquire and limit break her, and she probably costs more oil i assume, i wish she was a little stronger on offensive.

60 cubes 2 Chiyoda, Chitose and Kashino with 2 Super Rare Shangri-La and Takao. Need more 184 cubes to reach 400 cubes so I am saving it up..we have 2 weeks so there is no need to rush as 200 pulls is gauranteed.
i got shinano on my second build roll 2 days ago and yesterday i got kii and i already got a few of the smaller one's aswell but the fackt that shinano dropped that easy for me was a surprise, i like the shiny.
i finally know why the banner pulls are so bad. there are hidden featured ships. no wonder, i've been pulling centaur and taihou left and right. they are not off banner at all. this irritates me a bit. i don't mind an UR ship every half a year or so but putting her on such a crowded banner sucks.
Ya adding the hidden feature ships was different. But it doesn't decrease your chance at pulling any of the new event exclusive ships. It's really just an added bonus.

I got shinano at build 41 yesterday and today i pulled her again in build 45 and 47 so i got three of her im so happy and surprised i hope people get her too ggod luck

Just luck I guess. I had one Bismarck day one of her first event, never saw her again in any build. Had multiple Nagato and all but no shinano in a 200 build chain. Not even kii. So it is just luck. And that moment wasn’t mine (hope my Yamato musashi roll won’t be for secure net tho)
I did not mention it in the video, but yes she has one and it plays to her FP strength. Still behind Tashkent and Kitakaze for the FP DD role, but solid nonetheless.
Shinano Aviation not that good, umm excuse me? at 120 only 1 ship in the game has a better Aviation stat then her and that's lv 120 Saratoga (Retrofit) and only by 5pts at that.
She is a UR though. Only 3 non-collab CV SR are lower than ANY Elite. I imagine this get power crept but future UR/DR CVs. Also, the effect difference of 4 AVI between her and Essex does not change damage output. For the only UR CV, it is no different than your top SR CVs. Not bad, but not exceptionally any better than current meta.
I made a mistake as a new player since I just started last week, blew all my 30 cubes for this event when I should be stacking them in the long run. Seems like Im gonna keep farming the event PvE to get Kii and Kumano, at least they are free. :(
Don't worry man, there's still plenty of time. I am pretty sure you'll get most of the ships and with some luck, shinano. You get enough daily cubes for atleast 4-5 pulls a day, don't give up!
It's ok. New players usually need to play daily for 3 months to get a stable cube economy to not worry about RNG during events. Hopefully you get lucky with your 3 daily builds. If not, Shinano will be add to the general build pool in the future.
I wasn't butthurt. I'm always glad when they make things with history in mind. I was more referring to her relevance in the meta. DDs tend to not be good AA boats.

That "hedgehog depth charge" is actually disgustingly powerful, the range, reload speed and the damage output is overwhelming the current purple "improved depth charge" we have. I equiped it on Z-23 (level 120) and she totally rekt chapter 10 submarine boss (or 10-5) in just 2 hits.

Nagato Shinano Kii Noshiro Naganami Jintsuu is probably best IJN comp rn. Kii's buff to Torp stat will contribute a lot to her viability, combined with noshiro naganami and jintsuu, and you're looking at +65% torp stat. And most importantly is her +15% aviation boost. She can buff shinano's +30% Avi buff to make it +45% and another +20% dmg from nagato, making shinano hit even harder. Let's not forget that kii's barrage is very good as well. As for shinano, her barrage's scaling is actually very high, because it's based on air power, also, +45% AVI boost combined with +20% dmg is very high dmg if you factor in her 437 AVI stat.
This is a pretty decent torp meme fleet. Will have to test. Would be shocked if the 10% torp boost will be worth the 10% eva rate boost from Amagi though. Shinamagi back like will probably be near Namagispite, Namagiryuu, and NamagiFDG for T1 PvP comps. The VG you mentioned is the standard torp meta rn (although I still prefer the Azuma meta myself).
@@AzurLaneMeta yeah, the main problem with Nagato Shinano Kii is that they take a long time to do dmg. (20 seconds on average) whereas Namaryuu or namaspite has very high dmg that fire quickly in particular amagi with fcr. Namaspite has high dps and the dmg comes quickly, whereas nagato shinano kii take a while to dish out massive dmg. What about nanakai? (Nagato shinano warkai) i think warkai can conpensate for the lack of early dps.

As a main IJN not getting Shinano is like Losing at Midway , 278 cubes weren't enough , I feel depressed now and really want to quit 😔.
Dont give up. Just do you 3 daily builds for the next 2 weeks. Store up come cubes, do as many cube commissions. And then do a giant pull at the end if you still dont have her. You should also be close to the safety net by then too. You should get her.

Don't know if this was covered elsewhere but you seem to have taken the skill description from the Wiki - there's a discrepancy between the Wiki skill description and the ingame skill description for Kii. Wiki says 15% AA but in-game her description starts at 5% AVI

Suzutsuki - EVA vs Evasion rate
Shiden - 4x20+2x13 vs 8x20
As far as I can tell the former (in game) is an incorrect translation and the latter (wiki) is correct.
I’m extremely new like less than a month in and this event was trying to butter me up I think, in 40 pulls I got 2 Shinano, 2 Suzutsuki, 2 Chiyoda, and 1 Chitose, with Kii and Kumano being available in currency and event stuff that basically means I’ve got every ship except the new type. Kii I think will be really good for an IJN Battleship as I don’t have the other event locked ones obviously. Shinano I think will do really well for me as well, I also have Yukikaze already so the IJN fleet is coming together quite nicely, I really need to get Z23 though so I can finally get Ayanami and start retrofitting her as I just finished retrofitting Laffey today.

Yes, she counts herself towards the 3 (2 other). And yes, she buffs herself.
So what I'm getting from Shinano is she's basically a Tanky Boss CV. Also, her barrage is based on her placement in the fleet, so running her in the flagship position will get the most out of it. However by doing that, you will have to trade Nagato for the flagship, which I'm not sure is worth doing....
Maybe Kaga/Akagi in the 2nd and 3rd slots to capitalize off of Shinano's CV buff, and Shinano herself as the flagship?
Yes, her barrage is based on placement sadly. So flagship would be best in a vacuum (obviously Nagato's buff is more important). Triple CVs fleets are not really recommended. I think it's probably just worth taking the less accurate barrage in the side slot (like how you use Amagi).

If it's PvP, then Hiryuu is the answer. In PvE it gets less important. You could use Hyuuga or Taihou. Maybe Ryuuhou if you need the heal. It becomes less important then. And with both you don't necessarily need to "pair" a CV with her.

I think that Shinano's debuff is for Challenge mode or some ex battles where there is only 1 enemy for the whole match.
Buffing each other's stats is sort of a trend for Sakura empire. She fits that trend well.
I wonder how her buffs and skills will work with the new raids. If those are set up like challenge or ex bosses she should be interesting with all her fleet buffs.
Amagi/Nagato/Shinano Noshiro/Kitakaze/Ibuki will probably be a thing seen quite often
She'll do well in OS, but it's hard to she her outperforming Monarch, FDG, and Georgia in it. Maybe Hiryuu raids.

The smoke screen of Suzutsuki isn´t that special. 40% evasion rate for 5 seconds with 30% activation chance is the same smokescreen like Leander or Black Prince, just without a barrage. Belfast by the way has 35% evasion rate but also 35% dmg reduction against planes. But i think it will help a lot in a IJN fleet, idk if there was anything similar available to IJN before.
Yes, but the ship is fairly strong elsewhere with the other skill, barrage, and MGM+1. Stats are decent and like you said, she gets the benefit of being a more synergistic faction.

I want to ask about shinano planes. On the secon lb it says +2 torp plane so if you equip a torp plane in the first slot? Does it give you 11 planes in total with 8 torp plane?
9 total planes, 2 1st slot (any plane), 3 DBs, 4 TBs.

Kii actually sends her barrage twice in 0.5sec delay after the 1st barrage fires which would be broken when the barrage dmg is okay

I guess kii's barrage is ok in w13 if you put her on top position, since lots of command and repair ship spawn near the top.
So w13 IJN mob fleet could be Nagato, Kii/Shinano, Ryuuhou, Yukikaze, Isuzu, Azuma/Noshiro
I mean you COULD use that as a mob fleet, but many of those ships are boss fleet ships. Lost potential. For example Shinano is a boss fleet ship and to some extent so are Kii and Nagato.

The two Elite (SR) carriers are kinda trash in stats and skills because they're Seaplane Tenders, essentially the lightest carriers possible. Makes it easier to make them unfortunately not that great instead of creating another new class on top of the new Transport class. The only way I'd see myself using them is in a Houshou exp grind fleet for PR for Izumo, exp 1 for Azuma, or some unnamed other backline ship for that one remaining slot in PR3 (assuming one is ever filled in there) or in PR4.
Ya, definitely can be used for grinding if you dont want to spend oil and dont want to have your Main Fleet steal MVP.

Shinano's AVI stat is literally the second just 5 points behind first place.
Yes, but her real damage will come from the 9 non-fighter planes she sports. Typically gold CVs have 8 (3 of which are fighters).

But looking at her skills she's kinda viable in PvP if you run an IJN fleet but I think she's probably better suited for PvE.
Kinda Hybrid? None of her skills REALLY stand out as great PvP skills (like an IJN buff, crazy barrage, sizeable debuffs, immunity, sniper, big heal, etc) but they're nice in PvP.
But I guess she could compete with Hiryuu. Whether the extra tankyness makes up for the 15 seconds of immunity + extra strike.
Maybe a case of giving alot different skills but none of them standing out as particularly great.
Yes that's kinda how I feel. She's got the stats to be PvP, but also CVs are at a significant disadvantage in PvP. Her skills scream PvE. Maybe Hiryuu raid would be a good use for her to stand out.

@@LamaChicanery They didn't really talk much about the next event. I'm not sure. I know we have a DoA collab coming soon, as well as some Ashes ships (which I assume will be after OS implementation). However given we are more or less synched with JP, we might get a little rest afterward.
Fun fact, the Shinano was 1 of the 5 Yamato class ships in the Japanese fleet during WW2. It is still to this day one of the biggest ships that was sinked by a submarine.

I've been trying to work out a late game capable IJN main fleet. Shinano is huge for that. Obviously nagato. Still wondering is amagi is worth it while not flagship in PVE. Since her barrage loses a lot of value in PVE outside of center.
She still gets to fire at about 8s, and the torp part of the barrage is targeted. She is still very solid. Not a total lock like PvP, so some alternatives exist. One example might by Kii or Tosa.

I am guessing that when Yamato and Musashi is released one of them is going to have a class buff for all three of them, kinda like Bismark does for Tirpitz.

According to my own calculations, Suzutsuki, with her MGM+1, has gun damage nearly comparable to Sandykai when at max output. Obviously her AA isn't as absurd, but at least she has *functional* torpedos. Also, her smokescreen actually isn't new, it's the same smokescreen as Leanderkai or anyone other than Belfast has.
So is she OP? I mean, her damage is good, and she's probably the best gunboat DD other than the two obvious. Other than that... meh? Needs some more practical testing to be sure.
Hmm so you have her out damaging the guns of Tashkent and Kitakaze?
I had initially only calculated against Sandykai, but here are my results with Tash and Kita.
Kita (as expected) loses pretty soundly against light-armored targets, but wins against medium and heavy because well that's just what she does. Tash, on the other hand... In a fleet with 5 other IJN ships, Suzutsuki's dps will match Tashkent's, if we assume they would be using Tash's gun. If there's even one IJN missing from a full fleet, Tashkent wins.
Though, this comes with a caveat, as (to me at least) it's still uncertain whether Suzut's skill has the number of IJN ships count towards the max number of stacks she can have. If it doesn't, she can increase her own FP by a maximum of 60%, and you get the numbers above. If it does, then the max increase is 30%, and her damage output is significantly worse; her light armor DPS with Tashgun is just slightly higher than Kita's.
You kinda underrated Kii, her barrage can be really good vs mobfleets, bcs it fires the second wave with a delay, so it may hit the just spawning new line of enemies. She will definetly be good, bcs Nagato is mainly a bossfleet BB, and we didnt really have a good sr IJN BB for mobkilling. The antiair boost can be really strong with the new IJN ships with high antiair
I mean she's a solid above average BB, but went you compare to Nagato, Amagi, FDG, Warspite, Howe she leaves little to be desired. Her delayed barrage could be good for PvE mob fleets though. Good point.

@@AzurLaneMeta Yamato was the main flagship of IJN after she got built so we can guess she will have the same buff or better variation from Nagato's buff and probably in the same skill it will have a defensive barrage like FDG and Tosa. About the FP we don't know if she is going to get a better FP than FDG but would make sense to since it have the biggest cannons ever built
As someone who doesnt have Nagato or Amagi, I will say that Kii is very, very effective. Especially with the 10% AVI boost for the Sakura Carriers, helped my Crane and Fox fleet greatly.

It's sad that Kii, who is on par in terms of power with Monarch (PR1), has no place, is considered "bad" and will never be used just because the rest of the faction is just so damned overpowered.
Suzutsuki is also insane, she had MGM+1 so she might be lacking in the torpedo department but with how easy it will be to stack that plane buff...good god, that's just crazy in my eyes. Meanwhile just randomly 40% Eva Rate smokescreen, stacking that with Amagi that is just 50% Eva Rate...that is not ok.
I guess it is all relative. If Kii was a USS ship, she'd be best of second best BB. But she doesn't quite make top 3 in IJN. However, 4 fleet content will help her at least see play.

This event has some decent sub maps, but still better to go with the regular damage. But yes the hedgehog is top of class for if subs ever do become relevant.
I have to admit i was expecting more from Shinano. I would have been happy with her as a SR, but given that it is more difficult to acquire and limit break her, and she probably costs more oil i assume, i wish she was a little stronger on offensive.

She is good. Just not the best. So if you already have ships better completed, she seems meh. But for newer players she is a great option.
Shes not that far from being the best tho (if its AVI buff not AA). Nagato is something else

Shinano Aviation not that good, umm excuse me? at 120 only 1 ship in the game has a better Aviation stat then her and that's lv 120 Saratoga (Retrofit) and only by 5pts at that.
She is a UR though. Only 3 non-collab CV SR are lower than ANY Elite. I imagine this get power crept but future UR/DR CVs. Also, the effect difference of 4 AVI between her and Essex does not change damage output. For the only UR CV, it is no different than your top SR CVs. Not bad, but not exceptionally any better than current meta.

I made a mistake as a new player since I just started last week, blew all my 30 cubes for this event when I should be stacking them in the long run. Seems like Im gonna keep farming the event PvE to get Kii and Kumano, at least they are free. :(
Don't worry man, there's still plenty of time. I am pretty sure you'll get most of the ships and with some luck, shinano. You get enough daily cubes for atleast 4-5 pulls a day, don't give up!
It's ok. New players usually need to play daily for 3 months to get a stable cube economy to not worry about RNG during events. Hopefully you get lucky with your 3 daily builds. If not, Shinano will be add to the general build pool in the future.

I wasn't butthurt. I'm always glad when they make things with history in mind. I was more referring to her relevance in the meta. DDs tend to not be good AA boats.

@@AzurLaneMeta man it sucks how kii does not boost avi. Would have made her much better. If she had avi not aa 50% avi buff for akaga (akagi and kagi). Might have been a possible nagato replacement for ijn as she buffs torp for ships and it did boost avi.
