The bubble jumping is absolutely acceptable. A very minor spoiler but means litterally nothing to people who can bubble jump, but the reason you can beat the game without it is because WAY later you unlock the ability to have more than 1 bubble out at once. Bubble jumping just lets you get those secrets without having to go back to them later and acts in typical metroidvania fashion of letting you get to places through different means.
Also you didn't lock yourself out of anything in the ostritch room. You'll just have to come back for it after doing other things later on.

You don't, you never have to jump on more than one bubble to beat the game but learning how to do it earlier helps with some things but still won't make everything possible. There are some things you'll still need the upgrade for.
bubble jumping tech is absolutely intentional and so are the skips, there's a reason for most of it and especially if you want to beat the game under 30 minutes, people that are saying you're breaking the game don't know how well the developer made this game
I get that but I have also literally broken the game, to where it became impossible, by skipping in places
@@OlexaYT nah, the one place where you did break the game wasn't due to bubble tech, it was cause the mouse hitting the switch for the platforms hit the switch at the same time that you switched screens, which made the whole section afterwards backwards, that's just a timing error and should honestly get fixed by the dev
Im just confused how he managed to see any of those arrows at 28:45 as down arrows. The earlier ones i could get cause it was dark, but these ones are lit up.
Rest of the vid is good. Bubble teching is fine, its a useful tool to learn and a fun way to play the game.
He reads them in a weird order down to up not up to down
@tadekel6012 i mean, the order is weird too, but none of the arrows was a ⬇️ and he marked it as that on the map. Thats what i am legit confused about.

there is no way this game was not tested and known to be able to bubble jump, that HAS to be an intended mechanic i refuse to believe the dev wouldnt have caught that if it was a bug.... hence the bird blocking your way all the way at the top of the impossible waterfall/tunnel area from the previous episode. You are Vindicated
Bubble jumping is definetely an intended mechanic with a later item and most probably with the base wand too. It's just sad to skip some puzzles on the first playthrough imo. Sure, all the secrets are the most exciting part of the game, but skipping the main game isn't something i like to watch for a first playthrough. Just my thoughts.

I have not played this or looked outside of your videos but potentially, the arrows correspond to directions to use the flute in a sequence? Maybe with that one fish creature that pops up in that one section

I think recording/streaming just takes up a lot of brain power. He's thinking about so many different things, watching the time so he doesn't have an hour long video when he doesn't want to, making sure to say interesting things to keep that viewer retention, and on top of all that doing puzzles and platforming. Sure, it seems obvious to us, but with all that going on, I'd get things wrong too 😅
Play the game however you want. You'll do some things out of sequence but you'll wind up in the same places anyway, and the devs clearly knew this tech was possible, which is why any areas that strictly don't want you doing it will have locks, hummingbirds, etc.
I just want to say this beforehand that I love the series and the bubble tech is fine. I just want to vent. Why are you reading the arrows from right to left and bottom to top instead of left to right and top to bottom 😭

I am fascinated by his inability to read arrow directions.
I plqyed through the whole game with bubble jumping and had a great time. It takes skill to do so go ahead and do it. The game was built around it, and the game prevents you when it doesn’t want you to bubble jump.
In my opinion, bubble jumping = bomb jumping in metroid. It takes skill to use but allows you to get anywhere in the game. Keep up the bubble jumping Olexa!
I just beat the game and I have to say: Bubble Jumping is 100% intended. This game sometimes provides multiple solutions for the same puzzle. But they have to design it in such a way where the bubble wand isn't *necessary* because it might be the last item you pick up.
Two things: One of the *optional* tools is locked behind eggs. You're already collecting them, but "That puzzle is just for an egg" is a bad way to look at it :p
Second is: Remember the fish you saw vibing on the fast-travel room? You might want to pay attention to it. You won't regret it. I'll hint it harder if you don't get it (and try).
I haven't played this game before, but I reckon, using the flute, input the directions to play a song.
A little hint: yes there are some platforming bits. But if you find a room where it suddenly feels like the platforming difficulty has shot through the roof, it means you are doing something wrong

Keep bubble jumping, you might have to turn around sometimes cause you don’t have the right tool to keep going, but you CANNOT get stuck anywhere, trust in the well

I wouldn't care about people complaining about the bubble jumping, the game is very well designed and it's just part of the core design of the game. Some stuff you did could have been done differently with other items, that's why the game is great.

I don’t think there’s any area you aren’t “supposed to be in yet”. The bubble jump is very handy when platforming. In my experience, even if you reach an area out of order, the puzzles are still gated behind one of the other utility items. One of which Olexa is missing at the moment

Man, I love this game. Like that starting room? To me that _is_ Metroid. It made me love the game. Every time I see that room it is art. That room alone made me know the game was worth buying.

you can play however long as you'd like but I think that getting 32 of the eggs and opening the second to last door would be a good stopping point. You don't need to do a competitionist run unless you want to

The developers definitely expect you to bubble jump, it’s part of the game, many areas and secrets rely on it.
Don’t be bothered by those comments posted on your videos. Everyone should play the game that suits their enjoyment and play style.

Exactly! They wouldn't have added so many bubble-popping obstacles that prevent you from using it in very specific locations or rooms to get to places you shouldn't yet if it wasn't intended from the start.

and 27:50 is Down+Right, Up, Down+Right, Down+Right, Left
It's always frustrating when in a situation of "I know there's a secret here, but I don't know how to get there", which sometimes is just because you lack an item. You will get back in all those place again eventually.

It really is not a smart idea to limit your options when you are in a puzzle game that's always one step ahead of you. Feel free to continue on your journey to become the best bubble jumper in the world.

the bubble jumping won't break the game. The vines or birds are put in areas where the dev doesn't want you to bubble jump

FYI, you can change your items via the shoulder buttons. Inventory is still handy if you need to pause.
