ANIMAL WELL: Clock% (Speedrun Rewards) Beginner Friendly Route

- While most current routes for any% make use of a lot of glitches, the purpose of this is to demonstrate that, with minimal glitches (and savescumming as necessary), it is very feasible to get your own rewards for getting to the clock in under 30 minutes
I always wondered what the point of that ghost bird in your house's "garden" was. Now it makes sense, it's to stop you teleporting there immediately.
Aaaaaaah I just realized that now XD
I was gonna ask like "so why can't I just teleport there then???"
Now I know...
For people like me who struggle with egg locations:
Egg 1: 0:03 (Clover egg)
Egg 2: 1:50 (Gorgeous egg)
Egg 3: 2:50 (Normal egg)
Egg 4: 4:18 (Ancient egg)
Egg 5: 4:35 (Dazzle egg)
Egg 6: 4:54 (Mystic egg)
Egg 7: 5:24 (Virtual egg)
Egg 8: 5:40 (Holiday egg)
my gosh, its splendid
any time I see speedruns with such a tight period, I think how many times the player failed before reaching that desirable route
In 20:30 you can do the fountain puzzle without doing the other ones. If you stay in the ladder and let the water stream hit you, you can redirect it towarss the fountains, this saved me 30ish seconds
You can do this, but I chose not to here since it can be finicky :)
never even occured to me you could do the m disk run without the catdog ghost chasing you
For the unbelievably annoying and finnicky otter room in the chameleon/bear statue area, I believe using a firecracker on the right side of the room is probably the most consistent way of occupying the otters for long enough to get the slink off.
That makes sense. I don't think I had any firecrackers on me, but I bet that would be more consistent
@@Letanda You can drop slinky on the right to have them move all the way to the right and be distracted, and then drop the slinky again on the intended spot followed by yoyo-ing them away as you walk out
You can actually bubble jump yoyo in the room before the chinchilla / otter and skip the whole otter ordeal entirely
Or you could just hold the yoyo to the right, retract and then move to dump the slinky, then yoyo again. the otters don't follow the player, they follow items
@MorganSaph I've tried that and it does work, but it took a few tries. I think if you can get good at it that's a better method, but the firecrackers are more reliable
The few cases for a speedrun video where the more the mistakes shown, the better it is
Now I just need a guide for the second speed run clock.
This video might help with that! ruclips.net/video/72IVnoe4U90/видео.html
Would love to see a video like this for the second clock, as it's pretty important for layer 4
i think since you didn’t fight a blue manticore in this run, you can get a wheel from the momcat and the top from the peacock, then go to the manticore room, open the secret rooms and get the first manticore to break the “o” wall, then she’ll take you outside of the well without having to collect bunnies, and you’ll be able to get to the second clock very fast
min time figurine is 90 min, you’ll have more than an hour to collect up to 36 eggs and either kittens or use the momcat song
that’s what a glitchless speedrunner did for no glitch true ending
What is the location to find the music sequence for the main animal room and the one near the rabbit? I havent been able to find those
nice chart
Where is the savescumming you mention in the description ?
I want to see a speed run where you're being chased by the disc fox all the way throughout.
please no
at 16:30 i drop slink at the far right, and push yoyo to the next screen and then run back and drop slink and i have more than enough time every time
11:48 discord sound -_-
Does anyone have a trick or controller recommendation for switch? My flute keeps doing wrong notes because the analog and dpad keep slipping
Hold your desired direction and then press the button. You can tap the flute button multiple times throughout the song (rather than just holding it)
@@Letanda I figured you can tap, but it’s a lot less precise than a keyboard, that’s for sure. Does it need full taps or any light tap?
@@MrPokoloco I don't know what you mean. If you're on switch (or joystick in general), you can move your joycon to the right direction for the song (indicated by the arrows) before pressing the button to actually play the note.
@@Letanda I mean playing a note, doesn’t require a full press of the button
@@MrPokoloco I think you misunderstand? Moving the joystick isn't what plays the note, it's pressing the Y button. You can let go of the Y button, move the joystick to where it needs to be, then press the Y button again, then repeat for each note.
10:35 why did the animal heads suddenly open? Didn't open for me.
Any animal head that you've been to (their eyes flash), you play the flute at the middle in the warp hub and it links the opened warps
8:40 how do you jump straight up infinitely with bubbles like this?
Nvm figured it out, timing is more spaced out than diagonal bubble jump and a bit harder but if you do it over and over it will eventually work
What rewards do you get for beating it in under 30 minutes?
I'd rather not spoil it (in the interest of finding out yourself!), but if you do want to know, there are several places you could find out, such as the animal well discord
where/how was the song at 6:39 found? i could just use it anyways of course but i like finding the songs myself if possible
@@Letanda that one warps me to the room below the room with the phone to the right of the room you're in at 15:25, maybe it behaves differently earlier in the game or something
edit: i cant properly word this without making it confusing, sorry
@@Lucian4694my bad, I had the wrong song. This one was actually datamined, and its thought to be unused since the song that warps you to the top of the shaft is pretty similar.
@@Letanda ah i see, i wonder what other unused secrets are still in the data
@@Lucian4694 The song came from a room that can only be reached by cheating to no clip or get a certain item in the game that can only be obtained by abusing a glitch with the wheel.
What is that counter in the top left?? I understand what it does but how do I acquire it? Is it a speedrun reward?
You get it at the tamagochi (a secret) after having passing 100k steps in one save file
@@Letanda ahh I found the tamagochi thing but failed to jump inside, I thought a song would activate it ^^ thanks! now I am truly only missing the speedrun rewards + deathless (or other secret figurines) ((Hope I'lle get to play this game forever))
How do you create a bubble right underneath you?
Down+bubble while in air
What happens at the clock? Are there items you get for hitting each time? Are those doors you can go through?
We don't know everything in the game yet, but there are items you get for hitting certain benchmarks. The lowest is 30 minutes, meaning you get all the rewards if you get there under that time.
How come the cat didn’t chase you?
The cat only chases you if you get the disc before the mock disc is in one of the shrines. Since you skip getting the disc until later, the cat never chases you
It's a dog guys loln
