Certainly weren't like that today. Wet roots galore with a layer of soft mud on top of the dust. Treacherous. Made today a recce for future visits cos it looks mint.
Pitmedden is behind my grans house, used to ride there on my rigid bike with my grandpa on his Marin Rift Zone. Didnt realise there were so many trails there.
We were there last week too for the first time! What a great place it is! We started on Side winder first and worked our way up and missed the one with the road gap! Need to get back for that now! Btw good effort on the tree jump! That’s a sketchy landing. Need to do that now too! Good edit Jamie!
Thanks Pete. I'd really hoped to hit that gap but the landing is pretty sketchy. I can't wait to get back there. I just loved the feel of the trails. Hope you are well bud and enjoying being able to trave again 👍
@@streetpigeonmtb oh right. Well it’s a good excuse to go back! One of my favourite places now! Yeah loving it mate. Looking forward to trying some new trails this year! Keep safe bud and keep it rubber side down! 👍
Thanks mate. It was a good crew and great trails. There is an awful lot to concentrate on but I'd recommend a visit. There are some more chill trails which I'm yet to explore 😁
@@streetpigeonmtb yeah man, thats one of the benefits of the eeb, pedal to mental ratio again. Looks like some proper enduro trails there. Thats the problem with everything opening back up again. Theres not enough days in the wknd to go everywhere l want. Lol. Still looking to try Ft Bill this year for the first time, that looks epic, also haven’t hit all of the Tweed either. Ah, decisions decisions. 😳 Keep up the sterling work dude. Love your videos. Ride Safe. 🏴🤙
Brilliant tracks and looked such good fun. Hope Piers is ok with his shoulder?! Must admit, I did laugh when you had that little ‘off’ on the skinny......not that I can ride them either though! Cheers buddy
Ha ha. Mate, I was laughing as well. I'd ridden really well all day but went to pot on that damn skinny! I decided to give up before I broke myself or the bike 🤣
Defo Cath. We didn't even scratch the surface. I hear there are mor flowy trails over the other side of the hill. I will be heading back there at some point 😁
Thanks Stuart. I'll definitely get myself back there. It isn't even too bad a drive for me so I'm hoping I will visit it at least 2 or 3 times a year 😁
Nice. You have to do Thunderstruck, Careless Whisper and Jailbreak. Then head to the top and do Hush Hush and Broon Troot. Follow the black down and hit Ponduro 👍
Great vid Jamie, seems like u all had a great time apart from poor Piers. Trails look really fun there, have to get down there sometime for a wee ride! Looking forward to next weeks vid already!!
Thanks Alan. It was a great day. We were all gutted for Piers though as he was having such a good day until that point. I'm getting on the next edit tonight. Hopefully I can have something for you all by Monday! 😁
Great video Jamie! Looks like such a fun spot. Wasn't expecting so many little jumps and features scattered throughout the trails, I've been looking for something like that haha!
Very good job mate! Cracking riding too for riding it double blind lol with all the dust blocking your view of the trail😂 your camera picked up the light extremely well in the dark area at the top of the trails🤩 enjoyed that one 🙌
Thanks pal. Yeah, it was real sketchy not being able to see what was on the trail surface. I knew the riders in front were all good though - serious trust exercise! Thanks for taking time to comment bud. Glad you enjoyed that one 😁
I think he is doing OK. That was defintely the only not so good part of the day. Easy done on trails that are fast and littered with mini features though! Looking forward to your edit this week 😁
C'mon, did you manage the skinny? Awesome trails, awesome video, really enjoyed this one. You captured the stoke of the first group ride 🤙 Also "just a wee send" is my new favorite catch phrase 😂
Ha ha. Just a wee send! Unfortunately that wee skinny got the better of me. I scratched the fork legs pretty badly so I just gave up and went home. I was tired by that point anyway 🤣
Bone dry! I need to check these trails out. Probably closer to my house than the tweed valley. Side note: How are the Deore XT's? Pick mine up on Wednesday!
No way. You defo need to check them out. I have the XT 4 pots and they are excellent. Hands down the nicest brakes I've ever owned. The finish on them is brilliant but more importantly they have power. For Scotland I'd recommend sintered pads, either the Shimano ones or Fibrax if you can't get Shimano. Great brakes mate 👍
Woah woah, ye cannae just come onto my turf a make a sick edit.🤣 Hows you like my new build "dont send it" ?? If ye come back I'll show ye the rest of the backwoods stuff . I was in Aberfeldy this weekend.... holy moly wait till you see the trails there!!!!

great edit that mate ! bloody loved riding with you guys - WHAT A PLACE !!!!

These are awesome trails. We were there last month. Loved it! I live in Crieff but had never been before!
They are great aren't they mate? I'm going to head back there once the days get a little longer. Such a decent place 😌 👌
@@streetpigeonmtb I’m looking forward to the better weather. I’ve just ordered a new bike. I’ll be there as soon as I’m able!!

@@streetpigeonmtb good plan. Quit while ahead!
Yup. It's a motto that's served me well in life 🤣👍
The best part was watching the rocks roll in and out of view from the dust as you went down the chute.

watching this again before Tuesday. How sloppy is it going to be
I know! It's difficult to say isn't it? Sometimes when the Golfie is this wet the water actually washes the slop away. 🤷♂️
U should do a video where u ride the same trail that u find kinda difficult maybe 5 times in a row to see how much your time improves over the 5 runs.
