Never expected the avelia liberty to have a European two-tone horn
I think it's a nice contrast to the other engines thundering down the mainline with their multi-chime horns
I'd rather they'd keep the multi-chimed instead of this, it doesn't sound good at all, and the paint scheme is so terrible. I wish they thought of a better idea instead of this

Let's be honest, the horn is horrible. Take a look at the new TGV M, the horn is so much better, it doesn't sound like a dying swan
@@Malo-TheFlyingFrenchman I am being honest, I like that it sounds like the PSE TGV. As someone whom has collected TGV train sets, I like their quirkiness. Though, I believe that is part of the alure overall package to draw attention towards them?
Regardless, the Avelia Liberty will attract attention. Personally, a K5LA would probably ruin that European HST appeal. Agree to disagree?

A lot of people are complaigning about the horn, but at speeds upto 300 kmh, is the horn really useful for anything?
The Acela wont go 300. And higher pitched tones are necessary for higher speeds or you won't be able to hear it well. The old Acela horns are actually terrible because the moment you can actually fully hear the horn the clearest is the moment its already too late...
That train horn sounds like a car but I still love it though

Well don't forget, Europe in general has modern railway tracks that allow high speed trains to go as fast as they want whereas in the US the railway tracks were built back in the 1800s, so even high speed trains in the US have a limitation in speed. The new Acela though (The Avelia Liberty) will go speeds up to 260 kph which is a huge step forward for high speed rail in America 👌👏

I love the new Acela Amtrak trains wich is hundred percent true . However I like the old one better because they have the FL9S and the diesel horns. Don't expect to see the older ones go because they are definitely gonna keep 20 or 18 of them. I gerrente you they are gonna definitely keep some older Acelas older Amtrak trains on the cut im telling you.

@Adventures Of Amtrak Cascades 2023! Yes. I think it does too. However, I said give it a P2 because 1. It would be unique, and a nod to old Amtrak using P5's, and 2. I heard someone say they won't put a K5LA on it because it won't fit. P horns have a much smaller manifold, so it would be easier to put them on it.
But for the love of God Amtrak, get rid of that awful European horn.
