I wish I could see how everyone imagined the antique shop inside - it’s crazy that everyone who’s listened to this will be imagining something different!
To me, everything is pale and dim on the street and then one little shop on the corner with warm lighting and deep red curtains and lamps in the window and a couple guys playing cards on a poker table and light cigar smoke floating through the air and wooden shelves about waist high filled with little trinkets and old books that all smell like a cabin in the woods and it's very quiet in the shop and all you hear is rain, the two men playing cards and the very slight soft music

I imagined a cozy little wooden cabin with red sofas and christmas tree
Everything has a woody feel and theres old lamps and a staircase leading to the glass roof with sofas and theres lots of velvets and wools and at the counter is an older man reading a book with glasses and hes balding and there's book shelves and antiques

To me it’s a cluttered little boutique. Lots of assorted paintings on the walls, lots of assorted lamps hanging from the ceiling.

Most of them are free but some you have to pay but yeah it is pretty great
They're longer on the app which is helpful if you take longer to fall asleep. Headspace student is only $9.99 a year so I pay for it. So worth it.
I've heard the beginning so many times that I start to be able to finish his sentences. But I don't think I've ever made it to the end of the video without falling asleep.

By far my favorite. I would love it if you add more sleep casts with rain. For me and Im sure for many others it's just one of the most calming sounds. I'm mostly playing this cast because of the rain.

Don't really know how else to explain it but the narrator's voice makes me feel like a child again - in a nice way. Like I'm sitting cross-legged in class on the carpet in the dark, watching an educational videotape on the wheel-out television. Definitely had a bit of a cry.
This is without a doubt my favorite sleepcast. I've never heard the end because I always doze off in the first few minutes. The perfect ambience + perfect narration!

This literally did magic for my anxiety and adhd to calm down, perfect because I love rainy days and this really just hit the spot. I’ve had a tight chest and shallow breathing all week because of anxiety about tests and quizzes and this made it go away, now I can breathe deeply again
You know this is good when you’ve never heard more than 5 minutes of it
My 8 year old son adores this he listens to it to help him sleep each night xxx

I have to do alot of Doctor Apointments due to A Genetic disease and I got traumatized when I was young so Things like I.Vs and shots were difficult but whenever I would listen to this it would always calm me down so Thank you to all who made and voiced this it helps alot

Good that you found this. I have to go to hospital appointments a lot too and downloaded headspace to try and help me cop. I didn't realise that there was so much to help with sleep on there. The sleep casts are amazing and have honestly been such a god send. Its worth the subscription I think!

This one always puts me to sleep almost instantly! Growing up, my escape from home was always a used bookstore right down the street and this just brings back so many good memories of that place.

I have anxiety/insomnia issues, and listening to this every night helps. I never get sick of it. Some nights I listen to the audio cast, others just the atmosphere. By comparison I never listen to the others.

Honestly this voice has always been the most relaxing out of them all to me. I think it's because he reminds me of my late grandpa
I've always had problems with sleep becuase of my scheduled but when i listened to this i was sleeping in no time and it was the best sleep i ever had thanks👍🏽

This is my most favorite one, the voice, the story, the mysteriousness, the magic. Perfect.
I definitely recommend getting the app, because it has really helped me by listening to the full sleepcasts! I have been having severe head pains recently, which I am going to get checked out, but for the time being, while I'm getting to sleep, the soothing feeling of the casts helps me forget the pain for a while and help me drift off to sleep. 😄❤

This is my favourite ❤, strange, but it feels like I was there before, even though I wasn't. It feels like a beautiful old shop I would have frequented with my mother when I went to town on a Saturday in my youth. Old, musty smells, weak wooden floorboards, creaking floors and doors, an old armchair etc.
It's not that I've ever been in Rainday Antiques, but I sure feel like I was. These audiobooks are a treasure.

I had chronic insomnia at one point. I find that often it’s rooted in problems going on in your life and can often be alleviated by tackling those problems head on. I know it’s much easier said than done, but I think sorting out the problems in your waking life heavily reduces the problems in your sleeping life. If you can’t tackle the problem head on, find something that at least helps you forget about your problems, even for a little while, it really helps (an activity before bed, a book or TV show etc.) to get those good chemicals flowing. Good luck guys.
My 5 year old love this..falls asleep with this every night
I imagine it as a nice, cozy place with red curtains and a red carpet, and walls made of a tan wood. I imagine wood shelfs with books, old lamps, and candles scattered on the walls. I imagine lanterns hanging from the ceiling, making the light feel magical. I can imagine two polished wood tables infront of the windows, both for stopping bye if you have food or to take a quick look at the what ever digery doo you want to get. I imagine a pool table, hockey table, and a ping-pong table somewhere in the back of the store. I imagine under some of those old, wood shelfs are a couple hangers with coats, and cozy wool sweaters. The owners definitely made sure this was the best place it could be. I imagine that nobody talks much there. The only sound is the old music playing by the small campfire at the back. I can imagine it being very warm, and the lanterns making warm orange light. As for the outside, I imagine the door is an old soft cracking door made of wood. I imagine a chimney on the outside that creates light gray non-smelly smoke. But when inside, you can smell the camfire. And hear its quite crackles. I imagine it glows in the dark streets aking it stand out. I imagine two benches on the sides, with little trees. two by each bench. I even think that they might decorate them for Christmas. I imagine it in a big, industrial old city. It makes sence for this to be taking place in around 1976. I dont know if what I think matches up with that date, but I still like what comes into mind. I would like to imaging that the people who come there are ussually nice, kind, calm people. And I want everybody to be nice and kind, like the people I think of.
