Thank you for showing that you do not need 6 different products and 49 different oils to get a good retwist. I loc'd up just over a month ago (1.11.2022) I have 53 chunky locs I plan to retwist every 2-3 mos. I believe less is more and I appreciate you showcasing that. Loved this. Thank you.
I’m so happy I found your channel🥰 I have 47 locs (I think) and I also only re twist with water and use no product. Sometimes my scalp gets itchy and I’ll use sulfur 8 as close to scalp as I can and I’m good for the rest of the month! No build up and it gives my scalp a chance to create its own oil which is lovely.
Your locs are absolutely adorable! I love the thickness! I too have ALWAYS washed and thoroughly rinsed my hair, adding absolutely nothing before styling. This includes when I permed hair and loose natural hair. Now that I am locking my hair, I still do not add anything. You mentioned that your scalp gives you all the oils you need...my scalp does the same. It need absolutely no help with that. I have 38 locs and I cannot wait to see how thick they turn out. Seeing your thick locs made me even more excited about how my will form. How long have you been locked? How many locs do you have?
thank you!💚💚 yes, using no products on your hair is so underrated. most don't know how capable their hair is to stay healthy without product! I will probably do another video answering questions cause I honestly don't know the answer to them right off the top of my head.

I was going back in a few of your videos and thought you got wicks (it’s blowing up big time in Florida) but it’s amazing you got the same look naturally without using a crochet needle. I can’t wait to see the rest of your journey! I just subscribed. PS. I enjoying the music you picked while your retwist your locs..very soothing. I listen to music like this when it’s time sleep or focus on work.
I did use a crotchet needle to start them and keep them from unraveling completely in the beginning because they were so short & thick but I don't use it to maintain my locs. Thank you!!💜

Beautiful locs. Do you think by bunching your locs will affect the integrity of your locs in the long run? Are you trying to accelerate the locking process and prevent frizz?
oohhhh, honestly idk what it really does to them but it just physically felt like the right thing to do for some (not all) of my locs to like even out the thickness. & no, not trying to accelerate the loc'ing or present frizz.
My loc parts are similar to your size I like how thick your locs are how many do you have and how often do you retwist based off the thickness it doesn't look like often
My re-twist lasted until I washed my hair again. I don't know what you do, but if you are spraying your hair with water or moisturizer in between washes or not putting on a shower cap when taking a shower, that will cause your roots to unravel/revert and not last long.
@@JA.KARI.A You're welcome! Also, if you ever have an issue with flat locs you can always spray your flat locs with water and roll them back and forth in your palm like you're starting a fire.
I mentioned that that's what I do... spray the ends with water or sometimes they just fluff back out on their own throughout the day, thank you though☺️💜

Girl same! You don't need anything but water for real. Locs will flourish without being boggled down with product!

They don't really snag my hairs. Unless one clip has a jagged edge, but that's rare.
