It’s incredible how you look at the 90 s and feel how real they were. They feel more alive and real then anything in the last 25 years. Technology definitely hasn’t progressed human kindness or experiences. It’s a shame we left it all back in the past.
I was there for this but weirdly I remember the show with open skies and beaming sunlight, as if were mid afternoon, not sunset! Strange how memory plays tricks!
No autotune, no special expansive effects, , no entourage coreography.... Only the Irresistible powerfull grace of a predestinated talent. A dancing godness on stage.
I got an awesome nostalgia kick watching this . I could actually put myself there . I could feel the weather and smell the clean air of it being dusk . No cell phones . Anxiety was low . No mass shooting everyday . The last of the good years were the 90s.
While a professional singer, you can tell that she was as nervous as hell during the first song. Still, she absolutely nailed the set. I just love Bjork, such an amazing human being.❤
I just started to listening to Björk music on January 2022 I wish I had started much earlier, definitely my child version or teen version would love all her songs as much as I do now being an adult
She is such a great performer, always been, love those extra jazzy piano notes on Venus as a Boy and the flute etc. her hair also looks different more wavy and light brown, more casual, beautiful as always.
Bjork Reykjavik concert 1999 is my favorite.. hard to wrap my mind around.. but saw her with The Sugarcubes at Tommy's in Deep Ellum / Dallas TX in Sept 1988 with about 50 people there.. me and my friend about 20 feet away .. as was everyone.. she was amazing as always. In Nov 1988 they were on Saturday Night Live with Matthew Broderick hosting.. that tripped me out having seen them several weeks before with 50 people.
I was there! 😁 It was a boiling hot and dessert dry weekend. I think it only rained during Massive Attack at the Pyramid Stage, before The Levellers, and we all cheered. It was so hot in the lovely friendly jumping crowd. Such an awesome line up that year! Such an awesome experience! I was just 14 and I'm so aware of how lucky I was to experience that festival in that era of no phone cameras, just really absorbing every moment and meeting random ppl in an organic flow. All my favourite bands were there and a ton more that later were added to my collection. So lucky. 🤗
Yeah That caught me off guard the first time I watched that movie a few months ago. I've been already listening to Björk a few months before watching that movie.
I have been follwing bjork since before she formed the sugarcubes and was a child model in her very early days...1989- 2024. Her stuff was so awesome, otherworldly, different and ambient. Intriduced to me in highschool by some good friends of mine, whom were if norse swedish ancestry...Bjarni and muffi
Music sounded so incredibly unique and creative back in the 90s, artists weren’t afraid to have an ambitious vision and just go for it. Definitely something we’re missing in the modern era of music most just play it safe and stick to what the masses like. It’s sad to see human imagination be a thing of the past, pretty soon AI will make everything for us. But at least what we once had will be preserved for future generations.
One day Mother Earth became a flaming ship upon the tides of dry winds, one day the song that we're singing could be a glow star in dreams.🌠(from Jujuy,Argentina)
Wow - flashback! I don't think Human Behavior is here at the start though. Think it starts w/ "One Day". Human Behaviour would have been before that per setlist.fm.
@@tubecated_development Aaaah, Ok. I remember the music press at the time reporting it as being when Bjork was on. Erroneous info that has stayed with me for thirty years! Shocking state of affairs, though. I remember security being completely non-existent back then.
@@16ozClawHammer you remembered well, it happened while she performed I think, over on the other stage tho. I’m glad I chose Bjork over Weller. It was a truly magical night, but crazy how so different over in the next field. And we never knew until after the show as word was getting around…
I was so in love with Bjork in the 90s that I tried for 5 years to learn Icelandic just for her. Didn't succeed. 😂
at least you didnt try to send a bomb to her address... iykyk

I love her so much. She was so unique and fresh for Americans in 1993 when she cam eon the scene. Timeless music. She is wonderful.
I was there for this but weirdly I remember the show with open skies and beaming sunlight, as if were mid afternoon, not sunset! Strange how memory plays tricks!
who else play that day?
If you go to 0:46, you can see it's still daylight. Your memory is fine. I think the video editor added the sunset at the beginning for effect.
At 4:08 as well
And if you don't remember the sun setting at 8:28 then you may have overindulged in some intoxicating substance lol.
That must have been majesterial
This is only 12 minutes long but I've listened to it for four hours. Go figure.
Remember when music was this good? I’m glad I was a teen/twenties in the 90s.
What's happen beetwen ?
:/
Listen to AURORA! She’s carrying the torch!
There's plenty of good music today too, don't get lazy!
Thing we're good on the first half of the 2000s too
Thats what the 60s say, and the 50s 40s 😊
Originality,honesty,beauty,all on display...
Goddamn she is absolutely incredible.
5am and wishing I'd been there
7am... Same 😊

Music that stirs something emotional up inside
It's like magic

Невероятное волшебство! Говорить о Бьорк могу бесконечно, но она ещё и выдающийся композитор. Такую музыку не делает никто!

Incomparably unique....Cool Bjork...
I was at this. Still blows my mind that people in the audience were shot.
I was there. The shootings were at the Paul Weller performance IIRC. Crazy changes as the city life increasingly came to Pilton
