Also shocking with the type of bot it is. Watched a ton of NHRL and have almost never seen a single 3LB vertical disk spinner do much of anything in that weight class. They might win some fights against lower tier bots but any time I see them go head to head with a solid bot they almost always lose and struggle to get any real engagement with the disk.
I'm kind of disappointed by it tbh.. it looks like a lot of lynx getting wrecked while droopy just watches? idk. wouldve liked to see more droopy action.
the fun thing about NHRL is that robots cost maybe 200 at max while battlebots is maybe 20k for a good competitor, and at the end of the day NHRL is what people want to see in terms of damage
Depends, most beetleweight kits are over 200 to 300 and considering nhrl is for beetleweights to featherweights, nk it is much more expensive than 200.
@@Greanbeens14 Yeah, my beetleweight robot (which is still heavily under construction) has had probably close to £400 put into it, and I do not even have any of the armour panels made for it yet, which will probably cost another £100-£200. Although most of the parts can be reused in other bots, so once you have built one it is a lot cheaper to maintain, rather than when you have to buy everything new.
oh yea. I love the larger robots in battle bots but they feel wayy too tanky for the most part. It's thicky heavy metal on thicky heavy metal and it's rare to see the same level of destruction you see in NHRL.
Synthesis is definitely a contender for the golden Brett. From being a fragile Emulsifier replica to an aggressive and destructive killing machine, it’s definitely one of the most improved bots in NHRL history. Special shoutout to Corey, Tommy, and Calvin for putting on quite possibly the best fight of all time in NHRL
I was there live during the stream and it was absolutely insane to see this. Seeing the chat and everyone else loose theor minds was so good! One of if not the best qualifier of 2023
Wow, thats my new favorite fight in combat robot history. I can't believe someone actually out duelled lynx with enough time left to kill a droopy too.
Synthesis is honestly one of the biggest season-long success stories we’ve seen in NHRL. From its debut in January up to now, it’s had its ups and downs. After this fight, however, Synthesis has unquestionably inserted itself into the Golden Brett discussion for November. You love to see it, you really do 💞
Awesome match. Nonstop weapon to robot contact. No silly "battle box" gimmicks like saws or screws. No dumb drones flying around, or flame throwers, or flippers. Just good old fashioned robot carnage.
I think my favorite part about nhrl, Is that for the people who want to see or make the wacky stuff like drones or flamethrowers or whatever, It's all here. But if you just want carnage in the form of a good spinner weapon versus another robot with a good spinner weapon, You can also very much get that
Yeah and in NHRL even if a drone is fighting, it is still entertaining on how the opponents deal with it The creativity and imagination the builders here is amazing and all with in about a 100 budget@@the_undead
BEST!! FIGHT!! EVER!!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏 Big time congratulations to Corey for doing the unthinkable!!! That was incredible!!!!! We were shouting with joy watching this at home live!!! Not just fight of the year, BEST FIGHT IN NHRL HISTORY!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to see Synthesis again!!! Thank you Corey for mentoring us, keep being AWESOME!!!
Astonishingly, this happened again towards the end - Booty Brigade is absolutely terrifying on paper, but the NHRL warriors sent them home with two defeats! Some of the finest robot combat i have ever had the privilege of watching!
In their next fight it looked like Booty Brigade just wasn't able to repair their robots back up to 100%. Synthesis really did a lot of damage to them.
Part of it probably is that both have a strategy of going full throttle the whole match, as we see synthesis do here, but when working together they must try to avoid friendly fire. Droopy was hanging back or not spinning up a lot.
@@xenmaifirebringer552 You are probably right, I am not really familiar with the weights of the different robots. A better way to phrase it is that this fight felt like 2 1v1s in a row as opposed to a 2v1, with BB never getting a chance to double-team Synthesis.
This was amazing to watch live. This NHRL was probably my favorite event I've watched between the last two years. Congrats to Corey for the incredible and decisive victory.
Holy Lord! Absolutely mangled! After watching Lynx get chewed up, I almost felt bad for Droopy-- like "You know what's coming." Huge props to those guys for not tapping out-- they let the people have the fight they deserved!!
I feel like part of why he won was ACTUALLY because it was both of them- he really started dominating Lynx after he slammed it into Droopy. I'm not saying by any means he can't beat them separately, I just think the turning point was that strategy, which he couldn't use individually. Good on him for finding a silver lining in such a dangerous stormcloud!
God I love that they can't even be mad, The total underdog just fucking MANGLING the champions, That was one of the most lopsided fights I have witnessed and it was against the champs
It actually was one of, if not the greatest beetle weight fight of all time. No exaggeration there. If this doesn’t get a fight of the year recognition, nothing will.
This is amazing! No shade to the Booty Brigade, but I'm glad they didn't win. I know it's legal to do, but I don't think two robots in the tournament should be allowed to fight as one robot in the same tournament.
I think thats the point. some of the builders have issue with the fact the rules allow it, and have taken to trying to make the most cancerous thing possible to take advantage of it in order to get the rules changed in future.
Corey didn’t just dominate a seemingly impossible matchup, he absolutely mangled them. One of the craziest fights of the year for sure.

Not just winning but DOMINATING two champion 3-pounders even with a handicap like that might be one of the coolest things I've ever seen in NHRL.
The video doesn't capture how crazy the crowd was going over this fight. Incredible performance by Corey.
I was there live during the stream and it was absolutely insane to see this. Seeing the chat and everyone else loose theor minds was so good! One of if not the best qualifier of 2023
I bet the vibe was like taking psychedelics. Jealous.

Synthesis was like "i'm not locked in here with you, YOU'RE LOCKED IN HERE WITH ME!"
Dude woke up and chose violence that day
This glorious match truly meets the soul purpose of NHRL.
that Booty Brigade ALSO went fuckin nuts when they realized things were just about settled shows how completely impressive this shit is
Best part about this sport imo, losing is just as fun most of the time as winning so long as the fights a banger
BEST!! FIGHT!! EVER!!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏

This fight has to be NHRL's GOAT!
Best fight 2023, Corey's a damn machine
That was one of the most brutal robot fights I've ever seen. Just pure robot aggression.

He just killed the final boss of NHRL!
You gotta love this sport.... both teams were pumped to the max at the closing bell 🤩😂
“Oh wow this is cool, a modified droopy and lynx vs a heavier Bo-SYNTHESIS IS 3LBS???”

That was the most amazing fight ever!
LETS GO COREY! You deserved that 100%, can’t wait to see you dominate the finals!
Spartan has a chance of thwarting Synthesis’ run….

Damn, that is some STELLAR driving right there. Congrats.
This was one of the best fights I've ever seen!! Congrats to Sythesis' team for this masterpiece!🥳👌
I knew who won. I heard all about it. But I still found myself applauding in a room by myself while watching this. Geeeezzzzz

Droopy was basically just a stage hazard half the fight without a drive train, synthesis just played two 1v1 matches
Dear god in heaven, this was *absolutely* worthh staying up till like 3am UK time to see this live, I was screaming 😍😍
God I love that they can't even be mad, The total underdog just fucking MANGLING the champions, That was one of the most lopsided fights I have witnessed and it was against the champs
Fight of the year 2023?
I guess yes
For sure.
Is 10/10 so far.
yes.
No the best fight period
Taking on two champions and ripping out the batteries leaving them in a pile of botparts is just 2savage4me.
Saw this in person, genuinely the craziest fight I have ever seen
My mind is on fire! This defies belief! I love it!!!
I LOVE the sportsmanship of NHRL. Good people all around.
The greatest fight OF ALL TIME. ALL. TIME.
It actually was one of, if not the greatest beetle weight fight of all time. No exaggeration there. If this doesn’t get a fight of the year recognition, nothing will.
This was glorious to watch. Love the sportsmanship too!!
What. A. Fight!..... Wow
This is better then battlebots Change my mind
Agreed, plus with no field hazzards it truely tests bot and driver quality more, plus it is also largely less serious than BattleBots
This was my favorite fight so far, I actually cheered out loud like a football game when i was watching it live. lol
Lynx and Droopy: "They'll never find your body."
Synthesis: "They'll never STOP finding your body."
ho-ly furious scrap metal, this is 20x more intense than battlebots, love it
That was insane!
Dang, this fight gives me chills. So amazing
Why would you spoil the result before we have even clicked the video?
Be like Corey, full of dedication and bravery.
Simply amazing!
Okay, so synthesis, that's exactly what in motorcycle world we call "rider mod" his driving was ON POINT
100% Match Of The Year 2023
That was gold level entertainment!
Holy crap that was a driving performance from Corey.
Congrats on your win, Jack Black! ❤
Wow. That’s all I have to say just wow. One for the ages that
Bro became an Ace in one fight🔥🔥🔥
His handeling over that black bot was absolutely insane. I can only imagine how much time he put into controlling it.
Damn what a Fight 🔥🔥
like an never ending uppercut that doesn't even let you hit the ground on the way down
Incredible. Get that man a heavyweight. Please.
I can't keep track of the commentary but who ever said "there's a butt" was funny
This is like if Hamilton and Verstappen teamed up.
wow - that was insane!
What a fight 😮👊🏻
synthesis tossing aside droopy like “fuck outta my way” and then continues to beat down on lynx 😂
great fight and some seriously top tier driving.
absolutely mulched the pair of them
I like the body English of the driver of Synthesis.
That was a dismantling
I still love the housebot.... just being there. Praying to survive. Then again fluffy has eaten a minibot before so. Dont mess with Fluffy
We love housebot that's why we are here❤
Corey is funny as HELL look at his movements as his controller his bot
I GOT BIG BOOTY ROBOTS, BIG BIG BOOTY ROBOTS
Saw this live and it was epic, I wonder if they will close the loophole or maybe do doubles or tag team matches
What an insane bot!
For real these little Bots could cripple a whole army if done right.
Truly a brawl for the ages
Damn! That was brutal!
The power of a training arc
Wow, that was GREAT! 😂
Those movements of the driver of cintecic
Leave nothing but dust!
What's absolutely insane is how many hits it actually took for both of them to fall apart, it wasn't a one hit KO, every robot in there is a tank
that was insane
This is amazing! No shade to the Booty Brigade, but I'm glad they didn't win. I know it's legal to do, but I don't think two robots in the tournament should be allowed to fight as one robot in the same tournament.

This is why I love the nhrl ya don’t this in the bigger leagues
Nice to see a multibot setup get annihilated.
Droopy was to slow so could be ignored untill Lynx was disabled.
Synthesis. Aka, The Ceaseless Wheel
🙀Total Annihilation! 👍
Wow!
This looked like an exhibition match showing the weigh class diffence
Believe it or not synthesis weighed as much as either one of them, only 3lbs
Holy shit.
that floor is destroyed
and i think it was the depth charge
edit: or the smaller version of it, the steel mountain
A new God has enter the chat
Next level controlling!!!🔥
I need to see a fight with synthesis vs project liftoff
This looked personal lol
I never realized how tiny the bots are. Like i thought they were like Battlebots Size. No theyre tiny little things you can hold in your palm
This was better than soccer!
