Please keep the tiny chick safe and out of reach of the cats. Yes Kitty seems afraid but he/she might be playing uninterested and as soon as the chick/the cat are unsupervised he/she might try to attack and kill the chick. That's his natural hunting instinct and usually in cats it is strong. They are really smart and might be pretending to be uninterested (typical cat behavior). The golden retriever on the other hand is really kind and does not have the same instinct. But please you can't trust a cat with birds/rats. He does not do anything in the video because Buddy is there and he - the cat is not alone. The chick is very tiny - maybe with a bigger bird the risk of attack is less. I am scared for this tiny chick.

I would have had a great deal of concern in the beginning. The cat was obviously uncomfortable and nervous, if not a bit afraid. I would have wondered if it would take a swipe at the chick or even bite it when the chick kept coming at her. Obviously, I know this would not happen in this video, since I've seen many other videos from this channel. I'd advise extreme caution when introducing a new pet to the existing ones. I'm not aiming this advice at the uploader. Obviously, this person knows the animals very well. I'm more concerned about someone watching this and figuring, "My cat's OK, " and then being in for a nasty surprise.
