Yeah the grind is real in this game but it does help that you can just break a weapon down and get everything back, especially for me who likes to test out different builds.
Outstanding I actually fought death stalker yesterday and "whatever you say Alex" joined my quest being a current maul user myself, I actually seen this build in person. I remember asking myself what maul does he have because it was smashing. Great build good guy and now I know your secret, i will be using it!! 🫡
The amber maul is what got me through fights until I was able to upgrade, for armor I just went grit dog boots and whatever gave me the most defense/health until I was able to farm Deathstalker in chapter 4.
I'm curious if you know when Tunnel VIsion triggers since it doesnt show up on the log. Does it work while holding special (Power Smash), or only on manual extensions during light attacks?
Is there a specific place you farmed all them part destructions talismans? I've got this build and just got onto fighting volatile monsters and don't have a single one of them talismans yet
Dang that crazy, I was having some online issues a few days ago it seemed to sort itself out. Fighting tempest using maul can be a bit tricky for sure, If you can get it's tail off that definitely helps.
the actual drops are random I believe but the monsters in the endgame seem to be dropping better quality, one the to note is that you want to activate your hunter arm on the monster as many time as you can for better drops.
You can run it there but it does get a little dicey, there are some things I would change if I were fighting deep volatile with this build. I mainly use this to farm gear.
They are but your gear most of your gear is going to be farmed from mighty versions. From what I've played it seems like the volatile gear is just transmog stuff, but there could be more that I'm missing.
I went with double extended rap, +6 scav and Desperation. Flat without buffs I'm hitting about 5603 on the training dummy. Edit: Any tips on farming talisman?
I don't know if certain monsters drop specific talisman but I seem to get better ones when I break all the parts on the monster and use the hunter arm on them. It seems to be rng heavy though.

lol yeah that guy is a menace, the chain trap and the harpoon are your best friends for that fight.

it doesn't show on screen but it activates when you extend, it does show in your stats page though if you check it mid combo.

I'm still not entirely sure how to target farm specific ones but I do remember getting a "guile talisman" with 9% on it drop from a blue lavaback.
The Stake is the most inconsistent karakuri. I hate it lol
yeah it is but when the hit lands it feels so good lol. Hopefully it's something they can address in a patch later on.
Do I need a specific hammer to get the earth quake move at the end of big bang I do that combo but I never see any rock shattering effect.
Not sure about that one, I've never really noticed if that's there for every weapon. Now I've gotta check that when I get home.
I love the maul, but I just can't beat the golden tempest on my own with it and have a bug where I can't play online 😭

Have you played deeply volatile with this? Seems they would almost 1 shot you with all that desperation stacked.

apparently the bigger numbers you see against parts is just faux damage and does not contribute to reducing overall hp.
