There are so many here who are commenting about Hindu Sanatana Dharma without an iota of understanding about it! Hindu Sanatana Dharama is very clear about purpose of life as human being (a chance to explore for further evolution to higher levels - similarly, if not utilised can drag down one to lesser evolved beings!). Sanatana Dharma is all about Self Realization i.e self as the Truth and Existence! In simple terms the sages said Nara to Narayana - Manushya to Madhava - Man to Godhood(in Single God Believers language) The tools and methods are all covered within Veda and Vedanta combine! The practice of mediation, Yoga and Yajna are pretty comprehensive and very vast ocean of knowledge / skills. Vast majority of Hindus (including the so called Brahmins) immersed in mundane living and trying to earn decent livelihood (to overcome poverty ) and some due to laziness and chasing material comfort/greed can't be bothered to spare time to go in-depth in to the vast ocean of knowledge / skill base! This same fundamental knowledge base / skiill is spread through and well knit within various sects and religions that came off within India - Jainism, Budhism, Sikhism and may variants of the same! It is saddening and pathetic to say the least that this situation is being exploited in India by evangelical Christian Missionaries and Fanatical Jihadi Muslim Organisations running a very crude Agenda that can result in chaos in the Country that is trying to truly evolve in to putting foundation for the next millanium! These fellows try to thrust upon belief system on a very liberal thinking Society to reinforce what the invaders have tried for a 1000yrs! Once upon a time, not long ago, just till 400yrs ago Kashmir was Centre of highest learning on Veda / Vedanta - full scale knowledge / practice skill base! People from the rest of the Indian Subcontinent used to go there to prove their Vedic and Vedantic knowledge & skill base and Experience to be recognised as "Learned - the Knower!" It is so disheartening and saddening the degeneration of that Society post Islamic Invasion followed by brutal Conversion and subsequent equally brutal enslavement by Mullahs / Islamists! Future is: Any one who wants to truly seek "Who am "I"?" and what is this Existence about, what is "Truth " about " Is the mind projected world is the Truth?" or "Is Truth something beyond the mind projected World?" will end up at the door of Budhism, Jainism, Sikhism and Sanatana Hindu Dharma! With modern communication on hand, the Sanatana Dharma will become again the congregation of evolved Human Beings (from all over the globe) pursuing self-realization!
