I was an extra on Buffy season 7...and what James says was true!!! We worked on a Friday night from 5 at night to 8 in the morning. It was touuuugh. But soooooo much fun.
@stephanie o'neil I was In the episode Sleeper. I was at the out door mall when BUFFY followed spike to see if he was killing people. That day only Sarah Michelle Gellar and James Marsters were on set. James was nice...Sara was intimidating. Her stunt double was there as well as her bodyguard. They were nice. But when BUFFY goes back and talks to the bouncer they shot that the same night I was actually right behind the camera man watching her talk to the bouncer. It was awesome.
+Gabi Forder I didn't talk to her because when you take background work you are a professional and they frown upon you talking to the actors if they are busy. I did laugh at a joke she made and she looked at me! Hahaha.
Charisma is seriously the most beautiful woman in the world. How she still manages to look as spectacular as she did in the pilot of Buffy is beyond me.
Charisma is so sweet and such a wonderful person. I would love to meet her one day. It makes me upset, because I feel like Joss never really appreciated her or her character, when she's obviously such a sweet person and Cordelia is such a fantastic character.

What?! James has written a "lot" of songs about his co-stars? Plural?! I thought he just wrote one song about a co-star and that song is "Dangerous", which is about Michelle Trachtenberg.
To these guys talking about the 'weird creepy freaky etc' guy at the end... he clearly states he has Aspergers and wrote a book called 'Dear Ms Landau' (also turned into a musical play!) that is about travelling from Glasgow to the US to meet, yes, Ms Landau. Haven't read it yet, but must do so!
As someone with a chronic mental illness that can cause me to be off-putting, I can say that, no, having a condition does not give you a license for all abnormal behaviors you might exhibit. Self-awareness should keep you from being extreme. Most importantly, there's nothing about Aspergers that would cause him to be so strange and inappropriate. Oh, a lot of people write books, most of them are bad.
@@Nerval-kg9sm Yeah you're spouting some absolute patent ignorant nonsense here. Among other things, people with Aspergers have serious issues picking up on social cues that others learn. The very self-awareness you speak of is something they simply do not have, because of the neurological difference in how their brain works. The host did exactly what was correct, which is politely but firmly push him forward and through the situation to the best of her ability.
James is correct. I'm only 5ft and did martial arts full contact. I had to use it once when a man attacked me in a night club. It was him who ended up on the floor with blood pouring out of his nose before the bouncers got to us.
Pretty much if Joss had a role for him or anyone in the Buffy cast, he's sure they would all drop what they were doing and gladly work for Joss again. The same question was asked at the Firefly panel and they had the same answer too. Everyone loves Joss :)
Yes. That was James Christie, he is a writer/author. He is also a big fan of Juliet Landau, well obviously since he wrote a book about her. Juliet was the one who was supposed to be in this panel with James but she cancelled so Charisma was brought in. Season 3 of Angel. She still had an arc. Now half demon, and reunited with the Grusulag, she is the happiest she's ever been. But then she realises she loves Angel and dies. It's a whole thing. Really.
Someone explained what was going on a little further down in the comments section. The gentleman is a writer, he wrote a book called "Dear Miss Landau" (probably spelling it wrong). He was telling Charisma that he wrote the book and that Juliet Landau knew about it (someone asked if he wrote a book about her, and he says "she knew, she always knew".) He's saying that since Juliet isn't there, there won't be any roses but Charisma is welcome to read his book. He tells James that he won't embarrass him (below comment said James always encouraged people to embarrass him) but Christie states he could never do that because he has too much respect. Coupled with the comment below and hearing this conversation, it does make more sense. :D
I know it's hard to keep up with dyeing hair, but James looked better blonde. I can see not wanting it plantium outside of tv work, but a medium blonde would look nice on him.

It wasn't even an ubervamp that killed off Anya, it was one of the bringers, basically just a person with no super strength. It was sort of a way of showing how fighting can go bad no matter how powerful you

James has such a good point with the stunt doubles - they're obviously Buffy's/Sarah's size. Also why would that actor even go on about body size? They would only ever do that in the case of women - no one questions Asian male fighting movie stars' ability to fight. They tend to be a lot shorter than average Western men.
Well, to be fair, the stunt actor they used for Buffy in the first 4 seasons was very noticeably broader and more muscular than Sarah (who is obviously really tiny), which always made the earlier fight scenes quite distracting to watch. The subsequent stunt doubles were probably better body matches.
At about 20 minutes in Charisma just seems over it, though to be fair that's right about the time the girl comes in to ask a question that's 100 hours long and then "follows up with a quick question" that takes another 50 hours.

I think he eventually met Juliet Landau. But I don't know what he was going on about at the end when he was saying "she knew" and the whole embarrassing James Marsters thing!
