PD, do you think you'd react to a Japanese solo artist on the channel? It may be a stretch asking that, but if so I can suggest a really great one "Kenshi Yonezu" and his song Flamingo thanks for reading!
Can you please react for "BAE173 : LOVED YOU"? Tq so much and I appreciate it😊 btw they are having their first ever comeback on last April 8 and this is their mv ruclips.net/video/H8uK-1gfkcE/видео.html tq! . Trust me this song has 2 gen vibes of kpop and their song are very good!!! Many others said that this song is like Big Bang and Ikon vibes🥰 . I'm just so happy that Rosé was able to release the music that she wants. During her promotion period, it's the happiest Rosé that I've seen. Thanks for liking it, PD.
Rosé wrote this song and recorded it two years ago. This song is very close to her no wonder she is emotional seeing it finally get released. YOU DID GREAT ROSÉ
@@willb.4141 yeah i saw that but it doesn't change the fact that rosé are the one who wrote it, she literally said it to herself on her interview. Go watch it
@@willb.4141 can you actually linked me to a genuine source completely discussing about how the orders on writing credits do matter and how it is completely the sole basis of how the creative process was done?songwriting credits is not limited to songwriting only,if I'm not mistaken. It's really up to the people involved in that process if they will share credit to either the music or lyrics depending on how much any of them contributed. If Rosé can "publicly" say she wrote the song, wouldn't it be disrespectful and embarrassing for her not to point out that she didn't?Nowadays, if a person contributes one line, they're considered a "songwriter" and it's likely they'll get partial songwriter's credit. KOMCA credited Rosé next to 24,who was first on the list, both as the author and composer of the song. In the platform,Apple music, she was credited first.there are lots of gray areas in terms of who contributes what and what understanding everyone involved comes to, so the order of the credits is not a basis for that
'Gone' just screams ROSÉ. From the sound up to the visual aesthetic of the mv, it really is her style. Also, she did really well portraying the emotions of the song through her voice. I am not heartbroken right now or whatsoever but literally every single time I listen to this song before I sleep, I tear up lmao 😂
yeah gone mv is more for the fans, so many kept asking rosé about it that she ended up asking the company for it to be released as a gift. It's a very personal song for her, she had this song for 2 years and it means a lot to her i'm just glad she got to release it as a b-side and very glad that her debut is just how she wants it.
I personally think this song was better than on the ground , but the other song suited better to be a title track . Waiting for your reaction to Wendy's solo and OnlyOneOf's new comeback . Have a great weeken PD
I love the color saturation choices in this video. Despite how much color there is, the lyrics fit the feel of the video from the muted cool tone choices, almost like a sad old polaroid photo if it was able to move.
This song truly shows her colors and Rosie's style overall... Starting from the electric guitar drowned out in the background, ending with her raw emotional vocals mainly domineering throughout the song, it is *masterpiece* for me, man. Love also, how lyrics are a little bit poetic and more complicated than some of bp's title tracks. Wish Rosie all the best in the world, will be waiting for more solo stuff!
With this songs rose is proving she is a real GLOBAL SINGER and not only the kpop idol. As rose she can go farer with her music and I’m glad YG let her do what she wanted to work about. And yes this is completely refreshing cuz kpop has always a same pattern that people are used to it.
if you have been a fan and know the songs rosé covers and recommends, Gone is a no brainer. & to me it's not a really a big deal that yge let her do this from how she owned Hope Not. OTG and Gone perfectly complement each other in a way that each give you a side of Rosé that's performer and artist and human. there's strength and vulnerability and rawness and poetic flair.
I like both of her songs a lot. On the ground is much more meaningful, but a bit of a grower, while Gone is a perfectly suited song for Rosé. Overall I would say that I prefer Gone by a little bit though. Hoping for a video on Treasure's beautiful next!
PD's background setting is just giving me full on heart eyes emoji vibes and I love that Gone MV is so aesthetically pleasing matching with the song's tone
I love gone, its very rosé and as a fan its literally her heart playing a song. The song makes me feel like she’s sittning right next to me playing the guitarr and singing a late night🥺
I love both Gone and On The Ground but they are songs for very different mindsets 😅 I'm very happy she was able to put out an MV for both 💕 as always, loved the reaction PD!
Thank you for reacting to this! I love blackpink and Rosé. I didn’t even notice how long the song is! It goes by so fast. I’m glad you pointed that out.
When I first heard both On the Ground and Gone, I initially liked On the Ground more but as I started to watch Rose's performances for both songs, Gone grew on me a lot and I came to really like and enjoy the song every time I listened to it
So many people say that Gone is better to be title track, but for me On the ground is perfect to be title, why?? Cuz it's meaningful lyrics and OTG its about Rosé. But both of song is amazing.
This song is so touching and generally shows Rosé’s style. You can tell this song means a lot to her…I’m glad her company let her promote her song well! she was truly so happy during the promotions :’) 💖
Rosé did a great job with both 'Gone' and 'On The Ground.' It's more of her style and she said she knew that not everyone will like it and that's ok because it's her style. Some people got mixed feelings because they were expecting a blackpink song that's upbeat but this is rosé's songs,it's her solo and not a blackpink song.
Pd nim, this song has made me think a lot this days, has get me the feelings that i was forgotten through the pass of the time, also most of the times that i listen this my heart beats stronger and i have feelings of wanting to cry, it transmits me a powerfull mix of feelings , that made me feeling a bit sad but in a good way as a nostalgic sadness, thanks for you reactions and your opinions!!!
I feel YG has been pushing BP from Kpop into just 'Pop' or International-Pop since about the time they got told they'd go to Coachella. The entire song set they made for Coachella was non-kpop influenced and they've just sorta kept that trend. And it's working for them tbh.
The direction that the MV for Gone went reminded me a lot of KARD's MV for You In Me. It's one of those rare moments where I like the MV more than the song. And her acting is just so fucking clean. I love when she's on the screen. She's such a natural at it.
I think Rosé is successful in putting out these two songs because these are beyond the aesthetics or what in the music aspect.. the content and meaning behind these two songs are superb.
Awwww I adore you! I giggled when you bumped it to 8/10 because it’s a full full song and doesn’t feel that way! I’m glad you enjoyed, rosé’s been so happy with her solo stuff and worked so hard! Thanks for this PD!!! ☺️
it's been almost two years and this is STILL my favourite song to come out of blackpinks solos. it's strange though, because I usually don't like slow songs like this - as u said yourself. but the electric guitar in the background complimenting her vocals is just phenomenal. I love it and I will never get tired of it.
I have been listening to a number of reactions to Rose's songs and I must admit, you are the few that I liked and respected. Very professionally done, I must say. Bravo and God bless.
I kinda wished the song had more progression because it didn’t feel like it was really going anywhere? But at the same time, I guess that’s what they were going for and I respect that she doesn’t conform to the standards ✨
Yeah the song is pretty monotone and flat in that sense because the production is so minimalistic. I don't really like it, gets the occasional listen for me if I'm like really tired of louder/heavier songs
6:22 that's a refreshingly fresh refreshing breath of refreshingly refreshing fresh air. But fresher, in like it's a refreshingly refreshing fresh fresher breah of refreshingly refreshing fresher fresh air.
I love Gone more than On the Ground too. I constantly feel like listening to it more than I do On the Ground. Thanks PD for giving us your insight! ❤ love listening to you review, your voice somehow relaxes me
This was miles ahead of On the Ground for me, I love both but this has been played so much more; probably too much. I heard this MV wasn't suppose to be released but because GONE was so popular they released this for us. I believe this footage was intended to be b-roll for concerts.
Thank you for your reaction, Rose is as beautiful as ever)) It was great to see your reaction to the new bands MIRAE and Ciiper. To be honest, I was not familiar with them from the word at all, I only knew Donpe from MIRAE))But I was impressed after watching their debut music videos. MIRAE are the younger brothers of KARD and April. I didn't know anything about them, but I heard them when they announced their debut. In the clip, the boys have their own story ( which of course you will need to find out, but hello)The boys won over with their vocals, rap and of course visual (they are all handsome). Ciipher is a band created by Rain himself. They have a more cute and relaxing debut concept. The group includes foreigners, as well as a member of the show No Mercy(Monsta X was created). It was unexpected for me to see a cute concept from a band created by Rain, but they have some cool vibe)))💪🏻
This is not K-pop this is K-R&B. Simply cause can't no other genre justify crying on the bathroom floor. I immediately thought of JOJO at first listen, and I believe that says a lot about her talent!
Thanks PD! Really enjoy your reactions as well as the music/production info and knowledge you give on Korean culture/meanings of titles. Really gives me a better idea of songs, and your explanation is why to this day I have the Korean title of SF9's Spring Breeze in my head more than the english one AHAH
tbh I like 'Gone' more than 'On The Ground' that's my style, the song is simple and comfortable to hear, I'm not saying 'On The Ground' is bad but 'Gone' is the winner .. but I don't think we can compare them, they are two different songs with different genres. overall nothing bad.
I felt like Gone was more suited for Rosés personal music style. I personally wouldn't have needed OTG as a title track. But then again I can see that some people would be complaining how Gone is too boring as a title track. Personally I would love it as a title track
i liked gone better than on the ground too! its much more rosé's style. on the ground doesn't sound like a song she'd sing, to me, especially not alone.

Yehhhhhhhhhhhhhh
“On the ground” is the preferred title track since it’s much poppier and more ‘dance-heavy’ to be promoted as a title track on live shows while “gone” is the b-side that encompasses her more stylistic and personal aura. Thus, “gone” reaches to a major and more appeal since it’s heavily relatable. I too like “gone” more since it helps me to cope up.
Gone MV was a gift to her fans, since a lot ask her to released it. It was supposedly just for blackpink concert. Both song has a different vibe
