Dear Rosé, no words can express our proud and happiness for u. Thank you very very much for your hardwork, youve made it and you deserve all the happines and achievement. We always here to support you all the time Roseanne. We love you to the moon and back
Another masterpiece has been born. Gone hits a lot more harder now with an mv.From the vocals to visuals, this MUSIC VIDEO is indeed worth the WAIT!!In a press release, ROSÉ spoke about working on this album; “I wanted to put my most honest self into the album. As I prepared for the album, I got to take a look back at myself quite a lot. I learned I’m a person who heals through music.”In “Gone,” ROSÉ laments about a lost lover. She pours out her emotions of being left behind broken hearted from a relationship that she committed to. ROSÉ sings about being haunted by the memories of her past relationship. Like in most cases, she believed this was her relationship for life. But just like in most cases, it was not meant to be.The way ROSÉ describes this relationship makes us think that this ex-guy had no intentions of a long-term relationship with her. She wanted to be ‘The One’ for him, but he had already moved on. And trying to hold on to people who are running out of your life is just torture. In the pre-chorus, ROSÉ goes as far as to say that she ‘hates’ this person for what they did to her; “all alone, cryin’ ugly.” The chorus is even worse as she adds “I’ll put a curse on her and you.”But fortunately for the singer, she also says that her hate is gone in the second verse of the song. Cultivating hate is a parasite that only kills you slowly. So, letting go and moving on are the only healing options you have. Easier said than done, of course!
"she also says that her hate is gone in the second verse"... no she didn't. she said "all my love is gone, and the hate has GROWN". but yes, although she hated him really badly, she decided to move on "i'll pack my bags and go"
I love how they made rose’s solo acoustic and not dance music, it really suits her voice, and I think it’s even more so like that for gone, it just feels more genuine then on the ground, and that’s the case for a lot of b-sides, cuz some titles are just made to sound good, and don’t have as much emotion put into them iyk what I mean
On the ground is great, but Gone, for me, is another level like it feels genuinely made to express Rose burden emotion, and Rose vocal is perfect for this kind of vibe/music/genre. While On the ground feels more like a message that she wants to spread.
This is all I could theorize: In the starting, the bathtub is from LOVESICK GIRLS. I think this is an after story of LOVESICK GIRLS. 4:20 Roses are pretty. They have a good scent. Their petals are so soft. But they can still hurt you. And Rose hurt her hand. 4:37 There are 3 red candles. I think representing that Jisoo, Jennie, and Lisa are always at her back. 9:37 When she is eating, there are 3 glasses behind her again the 3 girls. EDIT: OMG thanks guys for 210 likes. I never had more than 25 likes ever.
4:20 damn i really DIDN'T notice Rose pricking her finger on the rose thorns until you pointed it out. No wonder she reacted like that edit: and she even sucked on the little cut!
It is difficult for an agency to have two expensive M/Vs within a few days but, even if this apparently is simpler and more basic than "On The Ground", the mere presence of Rosé is enough to make it fascinating!
Omg YG literally released 5 comebacks for their artists (iKON, 2 for BP Rosé, Winner Seunghoon, TREASURE) for just the month of March and saying it's difficult for the agency to have two expensive MVs is an understatement. 😂 And GONE isn't really simple and basic because the whole set was built from scratch (knowing BP doesn't do greenscreen sets), the outfits are expensive af and the whole music is shot by a film camera which is very impractical for it's cost but I think it's worth it btw. Rosé probably deserve all this and we are so proud of her.😍🌹❤️
"You don't need a man!" - Jordan, a man. That line had me laughing On the ground. So true tho! A woman doesn't need a man and vise versa. Right now, all we need is vaccine and we need you GONE covid so we can all attend BLACKPINK's concert LIVE AND ALIVE😤
For me, the scenes with Rosé in front of a projector with her past memories playing at her back (when she was happy) and her reaching out to the projector at the end means she's longing for those memories.
Y'all can't deny that Rosé is so talented in terms of songwriting❤️ She is so good in storytelling❤️Congrats to Rose❤️Anyways, congrats Jordan for Dancing With The Devil❤️
"I've packed my bags and go. This don't feel like home Too much darkness for a rainbow" -She's literally somewhere (prolly not on that house) in darkness with her luggage wearing her rainbow colored dress. OMG the underrated details and symbolisms in this music video.👏❤️
I can't imagine the achievements this would have. Better than a lot of heartbreak songs out there. So well written, wonderful production and a lot of emotion poured by Rosé in her voice. Truly a masterpiece.
This music video originally wasn't in the plan to be released. The director said it was only a short clip meant for The Show. It's out thanks to Rosé's consideration for the fans who won't stop asking lol🤣 For that reason I didn't expect it to be big scale production like BP always do. But i was wrong. It's beautiful and just enough
That bathtub is from lovesick girls maybe gone and lovesick have a story since Rosé just got broke up in lovesick girls breaking her Guitar making the bathtub dirty with black paint throwing black paint in the wall . I think it's the continuation to the story . It might be not be real but I'm just telling my theory
Theory: The scene with her wearing the purple dress were before their brake up. There's a shot where she's speaking with someone happily on the phone and I think she's talking with her lover and they're planning a dinner date or to celebrate something. But at the same time, on that same day, she got pricked by the rose. I think it symbolizes what's about to come with her relationship. That she's about to get hurt. Fast forward to the dinner date, at 3:03 we can see her happily laughing but then that's the same day her lover broke up with her. On 9:39 we can see how the light from Rosé' eyes went out. While at the same time the lyrics is her singing the word "gone" and I think that's the moment where her lover broke up with her. And on 4:24 there's a shot where her wine got spilled. And I think just like with the scene where she got pricked by the rose, the wine also symbolizes what's bound to happen. How they're relationship is about to fall.
It's my theory but I think its a sequal from her POV on Lovesick girls. You see the bath tub that full black ink where she was bathing herself? I think that represents her self being so damn hurt. But now, the bath tub is almost empty with ink and she got out of it. That means she's already moving on with that guy and slowly her love now is GONE. I've been thinking all about this, I love Rosè so much. This is a master piece y'all!
Gone is literally soooo amazing. LOVED THIS REACTION!! haha u said u were gonna react but then u were breaking the video down here and there (the video editor in you jumping out) but I really liked that. Also yea she don’t need no man!!

With the things that you said about juxtaposition of sadness and happiness mixed I get why Im always so obsessed with the video of We dont talk anymore, its just mixing sad and happy all the time. Also, the majority of the videos that get me in some way are always like that. Anyway, loving Gone by Rosé, its such a beautiful song 💔 thanks for reacting, Jordan
The first time i saw the music video and truly listened to the lyrics i started crying which i have not done since my grandfather past away nearly 5 years ago. Normaly i am an emotional person but do not cry even after break up but this song made me go through my break up again and again letting me come to terms with it. Now I am enjoying watching and listening to it. And thr song aged like extremly fine wine turning from good to one of my favourite songs to listen to. At least once per day because it is at the front of my Playlist that i listen to whrn i am driving to and from work.
Thanks for your reaction Jordan. I would like to mention the bathtab at 3:17 of the M/V, looks exactly like the one from "Lovesick Girls" M/V at 2:28, where Rose is sitting, the color splashing looks similar also.

Thanks, great reaction. Really like On the Ground, but like this one even more. Rose has got to come out with her own album. Taylor Swift America will eat it up.
@ 6:52, I believe the scene was depicting how love covers all your pain, and makes u feel better. But, when it is gone, ur pain is left ozzing out like an injury without a bandaid (love),
I think the rose represents love as it traditionally does because we see her "happy innocent" self get pricked by the thorn at 4:04 and then it jumps to her presently heartbroken and sad. So this represents how something she thought was beautiful and brought her happiness is the source of her pain. It makes sense if the rose represents love afterward for it to be set on fire and destroyed. Also I love the scenes where the projector is playing happy memories over her heartbroken since it gives a great nostalgia effect, but near the very end she reaches towards it almost as if to shut it off and in the next scene she's suddenly hit with the feeling of everything being "gone".
Maybe it can be more, just a lover, she was so happy at the beginning of the dinner table, almost like fantasizing. But then at the end she opens her eyes as if she has woken up, we get a middle shot where she was alone all along, that lover is gone, dead and gone metaphorically and literally.
Ok but Jordan just gave the best explanation of the Kuleshov effect (the man and the baby example) my teacher would never lol but it's so interesting to see the filmmaking and montage principles in action, especially in kpop, they just have an amazing way to develop narratives imo and Gone is def no exception, I'm obsessed w this one
That bathtub was from Lovesick Girls. I think Gone MV was a continuation/behind story of what happened to Rosé in Lovesick Girls. In Lovesick Girls, we saw her crying in the bathtub after pouring black paint in the pink paint and those events led to the events in her Gone MV.
I love this raw reaction! Also, I was getting emotional with the song and then when you went on your little explanation and said she's damaged, I didn't know whether to cry or be amused 😂
Thank you for keep making these wonderful videos! They are both incredibly entertaining and educational. I'm a film/video game composer, and I love watching you breaking down the shots from an editor's perspective. It has Improved my spotting and helped me understand the intentions behind different shots usage and editing techniques.👍
Jorden, the tub is from lovesick girls, so in a way gone is the scene after lovesick girls, both of them are connected. In the bridge you see Rosie throwing black paint on the pink walls which her and the boy painted together, and then you see that Rosie in in the tub with black paint, now you see the tub's comeback in gone
