Oh. That’s good! What is the source of this information? A lot says she participated in writing the lyrics but I think more on she modified words/phrases rather then wrote a whole verse. YG’s strategy is for their artists to write their own songs. I think YG is not selfish in giving credits. Thank you for sharing this information! 🥰
@@miyaka0728 you can see in her Album. Go buy and read inside the album Creative Director by LISA, TEDDY. Thats all, Lisa literally doing everything for her album except writing lyrics. She’s a stylist, a choreographer, decorating set (she told teddy and crew whats her want for the set), she design her album herself, she decided how her album gonna look inside and outside (the concepts of photoshoot basically is lisa idea and she tell the crew to do it. she tell everything on her recently vlog and the vlive) go and check it
@@miyaka0728 Actually YG is a very straightforward company in terms of credits and you can check official interviews or words of Yang Hyun Suk that if the artist collaborated with only one sentence, they are not considered for the credits. That is why now we value that the old fans and the new fans do not understand that that is why Yg artists take time to release musical material, when they go through the standards of shareholders and producers having their approval. And you can see the case and many more like that of Jennie who wrote phrases in a song and had no credits as it was not enough to put her as a lyricist.
@@miyaka0728 Consideeing her YT channel is operated and funded solely through Lisa (+ extra profits from the Channel itself) with no YG input, I do believe she would isnsit to put herself into the solo rather than give like 40% of efforts. She's not just an idol but an incredible creative, you could see her leadership and ambition and dirve on Youth With You when she was a mentor. And as an Aries, I doubt Lisa would let anybody tell her to lie down about it.
I think the song is very LISA herself. Her confidence and swag is embedded on the song that makes it satisfying coz you know she's not just expressing the song. She's really the song.
It was really interesting that PD talked about how this was the most satisfying song by Teddy in a long while. I remember watching Lalisa the first time and feeling a little underwhelmed at the start, but then as the song progressed and reached the Thai scene and THEN switched back to the Lalisa love me chorus i was so blown away and satisfied. It made me realize that i had become so used to short burst of overwhelming sounds that's the modern style of kpop songs that I'm not used to the build-up anymore. Like the whole "modern people have shorter attention span and demand instant gratification" thing but applied to music. I really like this song, but i also understand that a lot of people (especially Koreans) find this song to be lacking or boring because there's nothing "new" about it. But if we look at it from PD's perspective, and appreciate this as a super solid YG throwback, it's amazing. These are clearly elements that drove Lisa to join YG and she's paying homage to that heritage and history in her solo. It's great, and totally matches the purpose of these solos. For the members to express themselves freely.
Her 'shake the world' line in the start, i felt like it's a nod to gd's shake the world haha and then theres part in the choreo in the first verse thats same as the baddest female choreo. Idk if it was intentional tho haha
Lisa embodies black and pink the most in blackpink , I think . Also lisa is the creative director and was involved in this as much. This was so LISA in every aspect !
imo Jennie imbodies blackpink concept the most while Lisa brings the yg vibes to the group but in all the girls themselves are embodiment of the group ❤
i do agree that this song is satisfactory as it doesn't end after the climax. THERE WAS A PROPER ENDING CHORUS!! and it's been a long time since we heard something like this from yg, or at least blackpink. For some sort of reasons, this gives me major ringa linga vibes. That plain sounding chorus but it keeps running in your head. It's very hyping in a way that you wanna groove too. This definitely screams yg hiphop. And I'm glad I'm hearing this kind of style again.
I personally can't stand an ending chorus unless it's something very different. Honestly if you repeat a chorus anymore than once I think it's unacceptable lol but I have super high standards. Usually after a bridge (if I even get to it) I just skip to the next song in my playlist if I know it's just a repeated chorus, just never does anything for me hearing something a 3rd time.
@@luvneojen ikr!! it's like we got a few more seconds to prepare ourselves before it ends. and when it ends, it just feels right. doesn't feel like it was rushed.
@@jordansarkisian i do understand what you're getting at!! choruses can get too repetitive but for me the ending chorus was just right. it didn't leave me hanging or like asking for more. and performance wise, this song really needed an ending chorus. it was the hyping moment and a closure at the same time.
@@junkyubaby901 I do agree depends on the chorus and style of the song too. KTL for example had a lot of variation and replayability* thru it, but with the chorus (not sure if it was intentional or not) felt designed to leave people expecting more (due to it's spacious sound and delayed drop) so when the final chorus came in with much more energy and layering to it the quick ending felt more justified. Tho I still just...like just change anything lol, I get the saying "3rd times a charm" but with music it just feels lazy imo. I listen to a lot of electronic music and classical tho which constantly changes and moves around so I'm used to more variation than most people I suppose.
I love how the title of her solo is literally her name LALISA, exudes confidence and being proud of herself while still including the shoutout not only to her roots Thailand but also her group Blackpink that made her who she is today. The upbeat track and Lisa slaying already got me so excited and then her paying homage to her roots made it even betterrr. ♥️
This is the reaction I'm looking for! Someone who actually enjoys listening to hip-hop songs. This is really not everyone's cup of tea but it's sooooo Lisa. The song is actually really good. And I love how bold she is! Making a debut song about how great she is and then called it LALISA. Her actual first name. Haha i just really love this song!
I didn't have high expectations for this solo, but in the end it surprised me a lot. I really liked lalisa, i think it's my favorite solo among blackpink members and it shows well all of lisa's talents from rap, vocals, coreo and visuals. It's so addictive that I can't stop listening.
@@lilli741 thanks for your love and support towards Lisa. The thing is , it’s "Lisa’s " solo. Being at the top of her game , we should expect nothing but the best from her, it’s just the way she is!. Always raise your expectations high when it comes to Lisa and all of Blackpink, they will never fail to "bring it"!.
Yeah she maybe expensive, however you want to know the really cool facts behind that statement. LISA CAN AFFORD IT, CAUSE SHE BELIEVED IN HERSELF AND THE TALENTS SHE HAD. DREAMED HER DREAM, AND HAD THE COURAGE, DESIRE AND COMMITMENT TO GO FOLLOW HER DREAMS. HER CREATIVITY, TALENT, SKILLS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE SHE EFFORTLESSLY DISPLAYS WHENEVER SHE PERFORMS IS A TESTAMENT TO THE HOURS AND YEARS OF HARD WORK SHE HERSELF, NO ONE ELSE JUST HER, HAS PUT INTO HONE HER CRAFT TO GIVE OF HER BEST EFFORTS, EARNS MY UTMOST RESPECT AND I WISH HER WELL THROUGHOUT HER CAREER AND LIFE. Greetings to everyone from Putiki, Whanganui, Aotearoa/New Zealand
I think Lalisa is truly Lisa’s style and I really love it. She can represent herself best in this song, plus her performance and attitude in this MV is on another level. Her solo is absolutely what I’m waiting for :)
I can say lisa has the 50% of blackpink's blackpink vibe. And this solo of hers proved that she's born to perform like a real performer and so with that i mean hardcore songs which is literally yg's signature..! SOLO by jennie screams jennie and same as rosie's and lisa's THAT"S HOW DISTINCTIVE THEY ARE PERIODT.
I heard a Korean (producer/musician) reactor say..."Wow! She is Blackpink all by herself!" I thought that was funny, but Lisa proved that in 2 days with just her views alone.
I definitely agree with what you said regarding having a complete song. Out of all of the solos hers felt the most complete like it wasnt just cut off quickly. Honestly the MV was amazing (the scenery and bg), the last part where she has the thai set and that rap was my favorite. I wish they prolonged the pole scene because it looked like she learned it pretty well and gave her less cringy lyric? During the first rap like in the beginning it was great but it made alot less sense at the end of that rap part. I didn’t really understand why people were underwhelmed with the choreography I thought it was very catchy and well-made specially with having to rap and sing this much it was more than enough. She also has money as a b-side and that she said has a dance break with choreography even she thought was hard so honestly I think its very much lisa, and YG actually worked alot for the solo. Also yes, I 10000% wanted jennie to come with an album when she dropped solo but then again she was like the test subject honestly when it came to solos and a big risk specially during the first years of their career so yeah.
its a yes for me, this solo was hard for me to find nor to add more because it was almost a complete song, tbh this is the only solo i reacted with fine goosebumps from head to toe, no lie.
@@slaypa I didnt mind her talking about herself plz the second rap part with the thai scene is literally my favorite part. My issue was her first rap when she said “promise there's nothing scarier Than me if anybody coming gunnin' for my man Gonna catch a case, gun up in my hand Bam, bam, bam! Hit after hit though Rocks in my wrist, so I call 'em the Flintstones”. I felt like it didnt make too much sense tbh and they could’ve gave her better lyric.
@@tepofficial107 that’s very true like what else would they even want from her. She had two rap verses, sang, dynamic MV (which btw she said took 4 days to shoot), amazing outfits, makeup, and bomb ass hair, and finally a very catchy choreo. So like, I dont really get it when people say its not lisa. Its like the most lisa u can get
Lalisa confirms my thought that lisa is the most yg out of the 4 members. Loved crazy about this song. Been repeating it everyday since and I have not felt bored yet.
Thanks for the honest review. Tired of hearing about people’s “expectations”. She’s not making music to your expectations. She’s making music she enjoys to perform and that embodies her. She picked the demos and the vision she wanted expressed. Real fans will support her and be happy for her. It’s not to everyone’s taste but Lisa gives that reaction. She’s big and shocking. You either love her or love to hate her (but you don’t even know why you hate her lol). One thing that can’t be denied is her stage presence and aura. She killed it in terms of that.
This was also my favorite solo. It's a dance song, with rap, vocals, visuals and a choreography that everyone can dance. This song just screams Lisa, my favorite part is the Thai reference.
Lisa is my bias, tbh I didn’t know nor I could predict what her solo would be like 😅. From the very first scene where she walking through the ‘street’ .. immediately I knew.. this MV is about LISA. Her live for street foods, her love for vintage clothing. The bright house scene incorporated what a typical house in MV her town city has - papaya tree, banana tree etc etc. the Thai scene, the stone castle u saw in the back is a replica of Historical landmark in her hometown, same goes for the dance the dancers are using. All the outfits she wore in that scene are all from Thai designers. Her Thai gold silk gown was created by ASAVA ( label behind Miss Thailand Universe evening gown). You nailed it when you said “ old YG style hip hop”. From early age, that’s was her favorite type of music she loves. She grew up with YG lol
This is the definition of what LISA is and what she’s made of ✨ she defines what she’s great and excels at in terms of choreo, rap, and even singing like she truly ate this up completely
i found the song so shallow apart the ethnic part idk ,for a song to be named after you it felt it had no personality in it ,nothing personal about song its the same bp bad girl thing i love lisa but idk after hearing it i could instantly tell you its written by producers n not her
I love the song, i think people where expecting a more melodic singing when she's a lead rapper/main dancer. I wasn't expecting much before it release but loved it as soon as it came out and I think it fits her well. If I had to rank it will probably be 1lisa, 2 rose, 3 jennie and this is coming from someone who bias is jennie anyway people are free to like or not like a song just don't throw hate at the artist. My favorite part is the rap during the thai themed portion of the MV
@@cryfly1 not everyone wants to write, I am pretty sure if she wanted to help with writing they would have let her like they did for the others. she wanted more to do with the creative production of the mv and they allowed her.
@arbaaz alam seemed alright to me and I have asked people who do/make music and they liked it but every producer is different. So we make disagree on it being being basic which is totally fine, we do agree on that she kill it
tbh, i kinda expected lisa's solo to be exactly like this. a yg style of a song with a blackpink type of mv. it's very lisa!!!! she is indeed a yg artist to the core 🖤🔥
This song for me is like fireworks in 4th of July or new year. The main event. Lisa successfully showcased her talents, charisma, aura, attitude, hard work, professionalism in her Solo project. She's really all out. Even when people said the song wasn't that good, she's bigger than the song. Everything she does makes her haters willing to waste their time to try to drag her down, but the loyal fans willing to fight those haters. At the end of the day, Lisa always win. Keep crying, haters.
@@Elsi-Music I personally don’t really love the song either but I think this person was actually talking about like actual hater (people who bring her down and actually hate on her, not the people who just don’t like the song)
For me, Lalisa is a whole package. Everything is just so perfect for Lisa. Even haters waited for this solo and still commented harshly comments towards Lisa.
I kinda hope she was a little less selfish, all she does is repeating her name, to the point is annoying, I mean, there's a part where she just says: Lalisa, Lalisa, Lalisa, Lalisa.
I personally liked it a lot, the video and the song were great, the outfits too, obviously Lisa herself was perfect so yeah. For me it exceeded my expectations. PD: I'm glad PDnim noticed that every blackpink member were involved in the production of their videos, wich showcase the different styles that each one of them has. Also thank you PD for the video!!
I love the song and unlike most her critics, I like the beginning when Lisa is singing in her low register. She faced an unbelievable amount of expectation - and succeeded. This video has everything.
Fun Fact: The reason why it has a satisfactory ending is because Lisa asked for the song to include a final chorus after the "Thai scene" because she wanted it to complete "properly". Stan an intuitive Queen. Watch her Behind the Scenes video on the Lilifim Channel for the Jimmy Fallon show. Thankyou for your reaction, it honestly characterises my opinion of this song.
i see everyone in the comments talking about how they didn’t like this but i absolutely did. cant stop playing it. it’s so catchy. i absolutely also loved the switch up where she had her thai culture included!
she said it took a month to film it because it took basically a week to build every set, so yes it was REALLY high budget, and I'm glad they did their best for her
Some information as a thai: The gold dress is Thai traditional dress consist of “sabai” that made from traditional brocade golden silk with ancient pattern and the head piece is called “ radklao”. The outfits is also decorated with Swarovski’s crystal. This outfit was made by ASAVA, same brand that made miss universe Thailand 2016’s outfits. So it’s made especially for Lisa There are 3 famous traditional head piece for female dancer which is Chada , Radklao and Kiao 1.Chada is the biggest one ,and quite heavy. Chada has front frame and sideboards so it cover all of your hair.Only use for formal ceremony and propitious event cause it’s actually a crown. 2. Radklao is the one Lisa is wearing. Radklao place on center of your head , don’t have front frame so we can still see the hair. Some have sideboards but some don’t and the peak is lower than chada 3.Kiao is the smallest. The peak is low and bottom base is similar to lotus and use to cover a hair bun Also, the castle behind her is Phanom Rung stone castle at Buriram which is her hometown in Thailand.
Actually LISA is one of the creative director for this solo project. And I don think she disappoint. I'm very satisfied with it especially as someone who likes old hiphop
I totally agree with your satisfaction point, the song feels so complete upon the first listen, the lyrics are awesome, the M/V is a blockbuster, and has such a finale and explosive ending. Sure, the choreo is more simple to work as a TikTok challenge, but otherwise this is such satisfying and incredible debut song and all I could've asked for!
I personally would have liked an R&B song with the baddest choreo for LISA. But LALISA is really an embodiment of her personality. The swag, the attitude and confidence she has whenever she is on stage and a side of sweet little bubblegum pop for her adorable off stage persona.
I hope that Lisa dips her toes in alot of other genres: regaeton...latin...etc. She has the entire package; including being a great role model for little girls.
I think R&B would suit are as well, but I also realized that this was the perfect solo debut for her. Her strongest suit is rap/swaggy style so this was a safe route to go. Plus I think she still is shy about her singing voice; which she shouldn't because she has an amazing tone. I think once she gains more confidence in her singing she will be unstoppable.
@@multitay6889 Her vocals on Money is siiiickkk. I wish they gave the girls' solos more than just 2 songs for them to explore more genres. Jennie only has one. 😭
YOU KNOW: In the scene of Thai culture call that place "Prasat Khao Phanom Rung" where is a Lisa's hometown Burirum province and on September 10 every year, there will be a phenomenon of solar alignment the sun shines through all the sanctuary's 15 doors, the same day as Lisa's solo.
Hearing Teddy’s production make me think about how I’d be really interested to see some sort of competition between producers. Like there are so many great producers and literally every time I think the next song overtook by a long shot, I keep getting blown away. It will be hard to top this though.
I think the purpose of this song is to identify lisa and her wide range.. she can literally do any type of concept.. and to call a song by her own name is such a bold move.. then you have the second track money which I think is for the US audience mainly cus it has that familiar sound of cadi b ,Rihanna, tyga .....and at the end of the song the dance break part is where you find Lisa's and yg type of sound! ... so this whole album simply is an introduction of lisa to the world it's not her full capabilities she can definitely do more and some " lose yourself by eminem" type of rap .. but this is just the beginning.. I think she will come with a mini album next with some deep rap on it ... overall I loved this album alot and her confidence too 🔥🤟 .. can't wait to see money music video 🔥🤟☠
A song by her own name is not just a random things. People/fans didn't really talk much about the lyrics, people judged/mistook etc about the lyrics meanwhile actually the lyrics as in interview said... Lalisa love me, she is telling herself that she love herself. She is setting example for her fans to always like themselves/focus on themselves and be confidence. If you do that your bright future isn't a fantasy etc.
fun fact: the sample used in the chorus is from a brazillian producer duo, called TROPKILLAZ, other internacional artists have used the sound, such as Hwasa, but i think Lisa was the best handling this in the song (saying this bcs they super famous here in Brazil and i reconized the trumpet/saxophone sound instantly)
I personally love it a lot. I think it is a perfect for Lisa first step of solo because first she knows that everyone expect from this a lot and to response the expectation I think presenting herself and do what she want to do is the key concept that very impressive for me, also as you know the more you famous the more hater and pressure is. Apart of the concept, I think the dynamic of this song is so good. The beat, lyrics and even choreography are very satisfied. Every moment in the MV, I feel like there are meaning behind it like it is not just a fancy things it is something that Lisa and team sleep and think over every day. And I think this concept this song is like to unlock herself and then next solo she gonna level up and kill us with a fucking great song! So just enjoy it and thankful to Teddy, Lisa and team who involved in this project. You all did amazing!
I actually love how simple it is. The way I see it, it's a celebration of everything about her. Lisa shared that she wanted the choreo on the song's chorus/hook to be simple so blinks can join the lalisadance challenge. haha. how cute. Hoping Money will also have an MV.
Lisa said she wanted to explore hard hiphop sounds. Wait until you hear Money, the vocals is chef's kiss. While Money has what I would say not over the top lyrics and rap, lisa's cadence, flow, vocals and swag dripping all over would make you fucking love it. The beat's insane too.
we all know that everyone is entitled on their own opinions about a song, its okay to dislike a song but what's wrong is when the dislike is turned to hate to the point you include the artist, if u hate a song, dont listen to it again. Dislike is far different from hate. Also don't force people to hate nor like a song, we all have different ears with different preferences.
They want blackpink to release hard songs with deep lyrics like how western just go on and sht talk at everything when blackpink's fandom are mostly on youth people now a days doesn't know their taste of music. I agreed with you if you don't like it then you can just say that "Maybe this just not my taste periodt" so many haters rn going all over internet LMAO
Funny how stans would say "Blackpink songs don't have meaningful lyrics," when in reality Blackpink does have songs with meanings. 'STAY' 'YOU NEVER KNOW' 'LOVE TO HATE ME' 'HYLT' has a whole theory to it but people just focus on the instrument.
Exactly !! People don't understand that lisa is the one that suits yg theme and bp theme the best ... she's been always the one that has the killer point in their songs ...so it make sense to feel the yg and bp vibe in her solo
Lisa once said in vogue japan interview: im bp style but i don't like to runing one now .and lisa also is musician phenominon superstard in world class and fashion iconic Phenominon world class.
I am so happy to see somebody so instantly be like "damnnn that's so YG" the second they saw this, cause that was my exactttt reaction. Being a BigBang fan first, the second I saw this I was like DAMN we are back with the most YG stuff ever. I loved it literally because it gave me a nostalgic feel. Also definitely felt the BlackLabel/Teddy vibes similar to Somi's music as well, which I love cause yeah Teddy is YG basically now. Not like my all time favorite track or anything, but I'm obsessed and keep revisiting literally for that YG feel.
tbh i like it a lot than i expected when i first listen to it... people around me also like it tho! and lisa add so much power and energy in her performance which makes the song even better!
God, thank you so much for your amazing reasoning. You have given me strength and patience, after all that huge flow of hatred that our Lisa received with her solo "LALISA" musically sends you on a journey back years. And I fucking love it! This is really the old hip hop style of YG.
My thoughts exactly! I listened to this and thought of early iKon and BigBang and I love it, it brings that classic YG back. I think it makes sense with why Lisa chose this track to work on as well since she grew up with that kind of classic YG sound with BigBang and 2ne1
u were right!! Lisa just told in her vlog that she told Teddy to added the last part. Teddy really want to end it like he always did lol and I'm really happy that they add it cuz I think it hit me more harder in last section
Like what PD said is such a memorable song!! Your not gonna forget it because the song itself has a addictive hook, choreography and amazing scènes in the song! And the way Lisa expresses herself in the song is a 10/10!!! Is such a iconic solo song Just like the other solos from Jennie and Rosé but Lisa's solo hits harder than the two!! Each one of Them did amazing in their solo's!! Blackpink is the revolution!!! Can't wait for Jisoo's solo!!! ❤️💖
Lisa is the literally "BLACK" of 'BLACKPINK' She represents the Hip Hop, Badass dark side of Blackpink she carries literally the half of the concept of Blackpink, after witnessing Lalisa it's just proved that to me. 🔥 this was just totally LISA
If you good in singing , you are a good singer If you good dancing , you are good dancer If you good acting , you are good actor If you good nature, good personality, good effort, hard work , inspire people. you are the idol , Lalisa
If possible, I would give the Music Video more than 10/10. The song itself is 10/10 because this is what I look for in a song. This is the sound, the type of music, the vibe I personally like. I know many people are like 'She deserved better' but in my perspective, this is a pretty good song. She showed her own style, nor too badass, nor too cute. And the other track 'Money', I vibe with it. It's pre-chorus, chorus and the outro is very very my type of shiz. But it is a solid 8/10 because of that 'refrain' part of the lyrics. But I will wait, since Jennie performed 'Solo' with a new rap in their online live concert, so I can expect some new rap parts in 'Money' by Lisa in some future live concerts, who knows.
Definitely a grower, I would’ve loved if the choruses especially the last one were more climatic and really had a hype moment. Like imagine a very loud bass in the last chorus
the song is a great way to showcase how wide her range is, both in singing/rapping and concept-wise. it definitely sounds super yg, and i can't wait to hear more from her!
Lisa making sure to represent her homeland, Thailand, so magnificently while also representing the country where she has build her life for the last 10yrs, with a korean song, while also showing such love and confidence in her own self. LALISA is a beautiful tribute. 🥺
PD YES i completely agree that the music video is a distractor for the song (because lisa exudes such power that you can’t take your eyes off her & the sets are just so epic so everything else becomes secondary) you don’t understand how mind blown i got when i listened to the song on spotify AND LIKED THE SONG EVEN MORE. yes. eveN MORE.
i think if you are not of lisa you will not like this song, but for me this song is really great its really fulfill my expectations in lisa's solo debut
I completely agree with the song being satisfying. It's everything I wanted from other solos but couldn't get. I think I get why new kpop fans didn't like it. As a yg stan since god knows when, this was my favorite solo out of all black pink solos because of how yg this is. I think Lisa's style is the most black pink out of all the members, and that's why many people felt this song was familiar. That also explains why she shines the most in blackpink songs. Also I feel it's become a trend to hate all blackpink songs. When solo came out, people said it was short, empty, generic and what not. Now Lisa comes with a song that is full, has variety, and lyrics which are not about heartbreak or love and suddenly solo has become the people's favourite. I think it's just plane hate for bp at this point honestly. I read a lot of criticism and none it is logical really.
I've never been so hooked to a song before and this one's just it. Can't get it out of my head! And btw money is totally another level haha that one's a treat for sure! Lisa has always been on her own other level and that's why we've been whipped for her since day 1 she's insane
Lalisa is my favorite bp solo too. It was completely Lisa style, the rap, the catchy chorus and the Thai inspired vibe was so good. For me her stage presence and charisma are so powerful. She has a great future as soloist too.
This was the most honest review. I loved the song. It was perfect. I wasn't expecting this at all & even if this isn't my style...this song drew me in. It's my favorite solo even tho I enjoyed every BP solo made. It felt like a complete package...it wasn't too much or too little. It was precisely satisfying. Also pointing out as you said... I too felt Lalisa was repetitive only at one point where she says..."Lalisa Lalisa catch me if you can" & then says "Lalisa, Lalisa, La-lisaaa"...the one line I felt made it repetitive. Rest...I loved it. Every bit. Now... I'm just worried if my style is old too. But I don't think it's old style...
I LOVE this MV and was eagerly awaiting your reaction to it. I agree that each solo the members have done so far embodies who they are as individuals. I had no idea what to expect with Lisa's solo, but wow, she delivered. Still not over the song or music video. So, so good!
I actually really like Lalisa, it makes me feel that endless hype of celebrating someone's first ever Solo debut. It maybe not a perfect song for some ppl but it's perfect enough for a Solo debut that showcases Lisa's different charisma, personality and skills. About the criticism people are talking (which imo are just too much and some of it are nonsense, for example with Money, this is her first ever Solo so what's so wrong with her flexing and being overconfident?), i mean she herself is the epitome of BP concept so it's still acceptable that the colors of the song & the MV feels like something that BP would do. And please some ppl need to chill😅, they still give us Money which doesn't sounds like BP and brings a different side of Lisa's vocal and rapping. I even think there's no YG song that sounds exactly like Money. With Money i feel like I'm hearing a total western hiphop song. Edit: PD please also do a reaction to Money!😁
The more I listen to this...the more I like it and understand it. It is all the things that makes up Lisa as an artist. Merged her english speaking, korean singing and a bit of her Thai self.
Each solo debut is really representative for the member. Lisa's big splendor, explosive and bad ass with a really high energy fun rap song is perfectly her style. Rose's indie low key and introspective song feels a lot like a conversation you'd have with her about her philosophy on her life. Jennie's Solo could have been a Taylor Swift title track, it shows just how much of a pop queen she is at heart
I was really shocked by the song on first listen, but I personally fell in love for this in the 2nd listen! The chorus is so catchy, and I love the verses between the 1st and 2nd chorus! The song never feels boring, and each part is unique, and you want to hear to it! Also, the dance break is iconic, and the MV was so high budget! It might be my favourite solo song from BlackPink (I'm between this and On The Ground). I also loved how it gave that YG distinct sound, which I really found nostalgic! Overall, Lisa rules
i just literally get attack by alot of people for liking this song, they said i didn't have a taste, the song was a flop and just a disappointment which i agree at first but when i hear the song more and more it's just really grew on me so much like every five seconds i just randomly singing "lalisa love me"
Lalisa is my fav solo from BP so far. It screams Lisa She is cute, charismatic , badass Thai girl. The mv/song delivered all of them. And I agree with you. Lalisa is so satisfying to listen to because it's complete. It's a wild ride. And I like the choreo too. The choreo also highlighted her charms too.
Lisa is for me the true "new" face of YG. Even though many people want Lisa to leave YG asap, I don't think she will shine the same or more on other companies bcs the Lisa's style and sound is an absolute YG style and sound.
Funfact: this song was supposed to end after the thai part, but it was Lisa's idea to add the hook part again towards the end as she felt the original one felt incomplete.
This is my favorite solo from Blackpink too, I was amazed when I first watched the video that I really loved everything from the start to the end. Definitely my style.
I think your comments were great and I agree...I haven't really been into YG music but this reminded me of what I welcomed in earlier YG music...plus Lisa is a strong performer and it feels like she can let loose even more if permitted and that's a really good feel to have. This was a very solid debut, and yet it feels like she could do even more and I really hope we all get to see it
So I wasn't really that into this song but watching this video, listening to it a 2nd and 3rd time, it became better each time. To the point I am now adding it to my playlist.
Yesss... That's what made me love it more, it brought back that YG sound accompanied by the Thai Beats.. It's a total banger... The first time they accompanied another traditional Asia beat on their song.. Its a cross culture sound.. And Lisa deserves this MV coz she's the all rounder among the BP member and the most energetic as well.
I was actually sad that it received so much criticism. I am not a black pink fan at all or yg for that matter. I have never been interest in any of the girls I listened to some of the girls solo songs(much like one listen to any new music recommended) but never more then once this was the first time I actually really liked one of their songs. I mean really I used to listen to boombayha but never on repeat like this. I honestly don't care about the lyrics, because the moment I heard it and saw lisa person to me this was a song about confidence. It honestly feels very empowering to just listen to this song to me and even better watching the performance. I never knew Lisa had so much presence. Watching her perform, she owns it, like she is in essence a celebrity, a super star. She has such booming aura.
This song is the best song for performance in the future concerts. Lisa has chosen it and she's thought through it already. Imagine how wonderful it would be when she comes out in front of the audience and sings... WHAT'S MY NAME? WHAT'S MY NAME?... and then the audience... sing: Lalisa Lalisa... and they can sing along with her! Lisa: Say Lalisa love me... Lalisa love me! And they can dance and sing along with her the whole song easily! It must be so much fun together!
She carries Blackpink vibes on her back. That’s what I see. The full package of Blackpink is in her blood. That’s why she can have similar MV flow as Blackpink. You watch her MV, you can see Blackpink and YG vibes. She herself is Blackpink.
Quick info: YG has credited Lisa as one of the creative directors along with Teddy
nice lah a female teddy 😍
I really like this explanation! Very true🤍 “she’s really the song”
Periodt!!
Totally agree with you!! This song is so amazing!! ❤️
and the song its really called LALISA..
true shes really the song😅
For the members to express themselves freely.
literally no one in the world is asking for yg throwback songs but sure
I couldn't have said it better myself lol
I think Teddy is more thrilled about the song as they announced it as "Lisa amazing solo" way before the song debut.
Her 'shake the world' line in the start, i felt like it's a nod to gd's shake the world haha and then theres part in the choreo in the first verse thats same as the baddest female choreo. Idk if it was intentional tho haha
I agree and i really miss og yg vibe songs~ i think that’s why i love lalisa
Lisa embodies black and pink the most in blackpink , I think . Also lisa is the creative director and was involved in this as much. This was so LISA in every aspect !
Is it true that she was the creative director?
@@himamariet1473 yes :)
@@himamariet1473 yes... teddy and lalisa are both the creative directors
imo Jennie imbodies blackpink concept the most while Lisa brings the yg vibes to the group but in all the girls themselves are embodiment of the group ❤
Jennie is right there,, ACE
i do agree that this song is satisfactory as it doesn't end after the climax.
EXACTLY like as soon as the dance break/rap sort of finishing section came in I was just expecting it to end but we got more and I love it
I personally can't stand an ending chorus unless it's something very different.
The fact that Lisa is also the creative director and had a lot of input to the visuals of the MV makes it so Lisa
Suck title. If people heard LALISA they think lisa not the song
didnt she change her birthname
@@lalite7749 you clearly missed the point to why they named it her name LOL. That's exactly what they want.

The reason why the set of Lisa looks so expensive because that's how Lisa is.. SHE'S EXPENSIVE...

Lisa in VOGUE japan cover she is said : im bp style but i don't like to run one
EXACTLYYYYYYYYY
Also is her lyrics : Being greatest of all time ain't fantasy
I heard a Korean (producer/musician) reactor say..."Wow! She is Blackpink all by herself!" I thought that was funny, but Lisa proved that in 2 days with just her views alone.
Out of the 4 members lisa is definitely the one who embodies the YG Hiphop vibe the most, she's the one adding that hiphop into their songs.
"Yes" to everything you said
oh honey alot of people on tiktok called her rap lyrics and said it was too cringey and too much saying abt herself which is a nonsense.
its a yes for me, this solo was hard for me to find nor to add more because it was almost a complete song, tbh this is the only solo i reacted with fine goosebumps from head to toe, no lie.
@@slaypa I didnt mind her talking about herself plz the second rap part with the thai scene is literally my favorite part. My issue was her first rap when she said
“promise there's nothing scarier
Than me if anybody coming gunnin' for my man
Gonna catch a case, gun up in my hand
Bam, bam, bam! Hit after hit though
Rocks in my wrist, so I call 'em the Flintstones”.
Lisa is one of the creative directors of this. A big factor how this MV turned out. Very very Lisa and I love it.
Trueeee

Loved this comment..you explained it very well dear!!
This is the definition of what LISA is and what she’s made of ✨ she defines what she’s great and excels at in terms of choreo, rap, and even singing like she truly ate this up completely

If I had to rank it will probably be 1lisa, 2 rose, 3 jennie and this is coming from someone who bias is jennie anyway people are free to like or not like a song just don't throw hate at the artist. My favorite part is the rap during the thai themed portion of the MV

I kinda hope she was a little less selfish, all she does is repeating her name, to the point is annoying, I mean, there's a part where she just says: Lalisa, Lalisa, Lalisa, Lalisa.
I don't really know what people expected from Lisa, she's a lead rapper and this song represent Lisa herself. Such a masterpiece
Thr blinks themselves made the bar too high for her completely forgetting she is a sub vocalist and lead rapper which is kinda ironic to me.

Some information as a thai:
The gold dress is Thai traditional dress
consist of “sabai” that made from traditional brocade golden silk with ancient pattern and the head piece is called “ radklao”. The outfits is also decorated with Swarovski’s crystal. This outfit was made by ASAVA, same brand that made miss universe Thailand 2016’s outfits. So it’s made especially for Lisa
There are 3 famous traditional head piece for female dancer which is Chada , Radklao and Kiao
1.Chada is the biggest one ,and quite heavy. Chada has front frame and sideboards so it cover all of your hair.Only use for formal ceremony and propitious event cause it’s actually a crown.
2. Radklao is the one Lisa is wearing. Radklao place on center of your head , don’t have front frame so we can still see the hair. Some have sideboards but some don’t and the peak is lower than chada
3.Kiao is the smallest. The peak is low and bottom base is similar to lotus and use to cover a hair bun
Also, the castle behind her is Phanom Rung stone castle at Buriram which is her hometown in Thailand.
Actually LISA is one of the creative director for this solo project. And I don think she disappoint. I'm very satisfied with it especially as someone who likes old hiphop
I love how she introduced Soloist Lisa as Lalisa. I love how she showed herself to the world. I love this girl... ♡♡♡
I found Lalisa the definition of kpop, it's such a kpop song but at the same time modern, and it suits Lisa a lot, I really love it... Like a lot
I agree. But, alot of the really good producers are just so busy.
Yah I feel it's like boombayah which introduced us to blackpink and lalisa to lisa

❤️
Will she shoot an mv for her money also?!

I love lalisa, this song just shows how versatile she is, I‘m really proud of her
My thoughts exactly!
Tbh I forgot how it sounded like after the 1st listen 😶
@@AnaMargaridaSings Well thank you for your opinion
@@romaniafix7077 youre welcome!
@@romaniafix7077 same here!! But when you listen to it over and over again the song is stuck in your head!
Lisa is the literally "BLACK" of 'BLACKPINK' She represents the Hip Hop, Badass dark side of Blackpink she carries literally the half of the concept of Blackpink, after witnessing Lalisa it's just proved that to me. 🔥 this was just totally LISA
From Thailand:
Thank you admin support Lisa and Blackpink,Thank you from my heart.
Lisa embodied yg for real. She's the swag human
I waited for this video so much haha , I really love her song , I think it’s really badass and hyping . especially the « gold part » , it’s iconic
If you good in singing , you are a good singer
If you good dancing , you are good dancer
If you good acting , you are good actor
If you good nature, good personality, good effort, hard work , inspire people. you are the idol , Lalisa
OMG i would be so excited to see rewritten rap parts of Money!!!
Definitely a grower, I would’ve loved if the choruses especially the last one were more climatic and really had a hype moment. Like imagine a very loud bass in the last chorus
True, someone made a video where they made the chorus hit harder and it's sounds really good
YES RYAAAAAN
the song is a great way to showcase how wide her range is, both in singing/rapping and concept-wise. it definitely sounds super yg, and i can't wait to hear more from her!
Not really, my friends aren’t even a kpop fans but they like it. no wonder I’m friends with them lmao
I LOVE THE SONG SO MUCH ,RAP ,Visual,PRODUCTION,THE BEAT, IT’s JUST EVERYTHING basically.
I'm a LISA bias and I LOVE this song..LALISA❤🎶and it's stuck in my head actually..
Overall, Lisa rules
i just literally get attack by alot of people for liking this song, they said i didn't have a taste, the song was a flop and just a disappointment which i agree at first but when i hear the song more and more it's just really grew on me so much like every five seconds i just randomly singing "lalisa love me"
Dance for them specially the 2nd part of chorus with hands on head and swinging hips 🤣🤣
Yes it is a movie. LISA DON'T SETTLE FOR LESS EVERYONE! SHE'S A QUEEN HERSELF! A TOTAL ACE!
I love it that you watch the entire videos first before you share your opinions/constructive feedbacks. As an audience, that means a lot.
I think your comments were great and I agree...I haven't really been into YG music but this reminded me of what I welcomed in earlier YG music...plus Lisa is a strong performer and it feels like she can let loose even more if permitted and that's a really good feel to have. This was a very solid debut, and yet it feels like she could do even more and I really hope we all get to see it
I really liked the hook too, I could already sing it and it keeps reapeting in my head the first time I heard it!
Love the song, mv, performance, rapping... just everything!!
I love the transition part with the crown and egipcian-arabic-thai music and costume part, showing her fierceness and wildness
Actually... They planned to cut if off short after the Thai part but Lisa wanted a last chorus. She said so in one of her Lili films
Song itself is really really good, but with MV this is really really great. I've never thought MV is this powerful.
The more I play it the more I am in love more with it ...can't wait For money dance performance tomorrow 🔥
So I wasn't really that into this song but watching this video, listening to it a 2nd and 3rd time, it became better each time. To the point I am now adding it to my playlist.
Same reaction... This was the most old school YG thing in a while that's why I LOVED it
Every scene looks great. It's like you're watching multiple shows in one song. And it made us go back and watch over again 👍😎
