That’s cool. I just bought a Gladius. Completely new to crawling. A friend told me to change wheels and tires which I did. I just got a hobby wing esc and pinion today. Only been out with it once so far Can’t wait to go out with it again after fitting the ESC ☺️
Nice one! With a 1080 and the right pinion (if you can get the old one off) it'll run really nicely. I had a similar version of the 1080 in this for a few runs, it really helped with low-down control.
@@The_RC_FamilyI bought a new 13t pinion and put that on. It runs really nice. Initially it was super noisy, newbie error when fitting. Pinion wrong way around 🙄🫣 I fixed the issue and now it purrs and sounds quiet and nice. Took it to chicksands near Bedford this last weekend and had great fun with the 3counties guys. First proper crawl/trail. Next I need to add some weight. Any advice would be much appreciated 🙌
I have the ftx outback and that's been a fantastic truck and I also have the outlaw witch I have converted to a crawler that's a pretty cool truck.these gladius are fantastic all round trucks if anyone on here is looking for a first time crawler or just a cheap crawler I would highly recommend it.
Hello, hope you are well. Just want to check if you had to change your front and rear drive shaft with the Gladius? I am trying to add the parts from my TRX-4 and couldn't get the front and rear drive shafts to work, they just don't spin very smoothly for some reasons. Could use with some pointers please. 😊👍🏼
Ah, if I honest I have never needed to change my driveshafts on the Gladius so I am really not sure I can help. It is because they are too long causing binding? This can often be a symptom that is caused be drive shafts being too long.
@The_RC_Family yes, indeed. I read some spec online, I know the stock Gladius uses 313mm rear links. The Injora LCG carbon kit comes with both 313mm and 324mm rear links.
@@jjshobbypower9091 In one of the shots in the video, I can see the 324mm link detail. LOL, I guess it was the 324mm links. I will check once I am back home.
Great video and customised Gladius!
Hey again Neil, thank you. She's not the truck she used to be that's for sure.
Cheers for the shout out dude. Always happy to help a mate in an rc need moment 😉👍😁

@The_RC_Family ah.. I see.. no worries. May I ask whether you used the 313mm or 324mm rear links?
