Sooo... basically as the uploader, if you were to beat it from checkpoint the state would be so you can just land on the switch blocks and finish the level. But if you were to beat it from start to finish you wouldn't get the checkpoint and could just go past it. I guess that would also explain why the ending was different when he was going for world record, because the on/off state was different.

If you clear check or speedrun while skipping the checkpoint, you can just run right through, but when you respawn you have to hit that switch block.
He should make a troll version of "Please Just Do Better," using the anti-softlock mechanic from "Rhymes with fun" for half the platforms. And then he needs to make Carl play it.

When you are in the bones-shell I think you can't because the first step is a mini-jump, so you can't go through that 1-block space because of the mini-jump

The Dry Bones shell will make you bounce off the saw instead of being able to damage boost through it.
If you press up you wake up faster and I think you could hit the end
