I was always amazed by your purity of execution. The tuning you use for this song makes my guitar sound like a bucket (I'm sure I'm not alone in this), so double credit for it.
Eugene Gulyi So I'm not the only one. Took me a while to get it to sound decent with that tuning. Its all about getting the hang of wich string to accent, since this song its about the dynamics.

I screwed myself over by reading the books. Game of Thrones is good on its own but quickly deteriorates into complete shit if you've read and appreciated the books as I have.
can you give lessons step by step for this theme. i cant understand your finger movements.
I just love the buzzing, metalic sound of this. Could it be that you are putting new strings very often so your strings sound always more alive or do you do something specific for them to sound like that?
+Inaluogh It sounds like he's tuned at least the lower strings down quite a lot to get those lower notes, which means the strings are looser and buzz on the frets fairly easily
+Inaluogh I do use new strings when I record, but it also has to do with my playing style and the tunings I use. When you hit the strings just right they get this sort of snarl that I really like...but it's also partly out of necessity. To not get that buzzing I'd have to set the action uncomfortably high or play softer. There's a sweet spot that I really like...any lower and it starts to take away from the music.
I dropped my tuning to c minor with brand new martin strings and it sounds damn near identical. lol

You should tune ur e string down a bit so it sounds better when you hit it hard. imo

this is so cool! all the other tabs and guitar themes were just not the whole thing, one would always need two or more guitars at the same time and (whoa!) i just have two arms and one guitar! your transcription, the whole sound of the thing, it's just perfect, exactly what i'd like to play! i'm a total beginner in guitar playing (started 4 months ago) but this will be the first major piece i will try to accomplish playing! thanks so much for giving away the tabs for free, you are awesome!
