Just stumbled upon your channel. Great informative video + you are a great storyteller. This cubic tank is fine for a betta - they don't move around a lot. Yes, they don't need a heater. I had to lie to the pet shop owner, stating I had a heater for the beta tank. A light on top is fine. They don't like low temps but room temperature (23C) is fine but with a light heating the water. This works for me - it may not work for you.
Thanks for comment. I think I've seen more male Bettas in bowls/cups than in Aquariums. This was probably because people thought they were aggressive to all other fish. While in the Pet Industry, I like to think that I saved a lot of comet goldfish by telling parents to go with the Betta in the bowl and put the goldfish in a well filtered aquarium. Cheers!
Betta`s natural habitat is an oxygen deprived pond or puddle of water, they do just fine and thrive in tanks just like the one in this video. Always will be the keyboard warriors who know better mate, keep doing what works for you and keeps your fish alive.
