      @@petevsplants7516 wow can't believe the Aus prices hasn't gone down significantly. Here in Indonesia now we can get burlemarx flame for $250 (the same medium size on this video). I'm not sure about the sancti tho. But I bet it's not on the high-end 4 digits anymore. And to think that aus is pretty close to Indonesia too 😅 But maybe (correct me if I'm wrong) that's because aus have pretty strict regulations in import and export.

    Love this unboxing so much!! Can’t wait to get my baby! An idea for next time you put a monstera like that on a pole, I like to stick the roots inside the pole while it’s a sheet, then fold it up keeping the roots inside, then stuff it with moss (or whatever) once it’s situated in the pole. That way all the aerials have an opportunity to grow into the moss right away. I use a little pokey stick to make sure all the crevices off the pole is filled. Just a thought! Don’t want to be pushy with unsolicited advice 😅

    • @dewantoroo
      @dewantoroo Год назад

      I think when it come to endangered species of plant, they treat it quite differently compare to endangered animals. For plants, as long as it's not wild collected or poached and it's not an invasive species for your region, it should be fine. Plants are quite 'easy' to multiply (via propagation or TC). This is (arguably) also the benefit from this hobby: CONSERVATION. So even if a plant is extinct in the wild, we still have a chance to introduce them again to their natural habitat. Unfortunately we can't do this to endangered animals, at least not as easy.
      And as for spiritus sancti, they're indeed critically endangered species in the wild, because of the habitat loss. If I'm not mistaken there are only 6 specimens left in the wild and it's located in a private own farm and they strictly guard the property. So most of spiritus sancti we saw in the market it's either propagation from private collection (seed/cuttings) or Tissue Culture.
