I didn’t notice you had ordered and so for anyone considering ordering, this has been delivered as any other order would be - no special treatment, no preferential selection of plants, no extra packing etc. In our experience ‘this way up’ arrows or any other variation make no difference. We watch DPD put these on the van every day and I’ve been in the depot more times than I want to think about. Stuff goes every which way up no matter what you do and so packing as we do is basically the only way to avoid damage. Glad everything arrived in the condition it left us! Always nice to see happy customers 😊
When a nurseryman wants to propagate, I tend to use pumice or a mix of perlite and vermiculite. Do it under a dome. Use a good rooting hormone. I use Woods, but that's a commercial product. Any one of them beats none of them. Best of luck! Keep humidity super high and bottom warmth for a complete boost to the process.
Unbelievably happy with these plants!! You Can get 10% off your order at Grow Tropicals when you use my code: JUNGLEHAVEN10 at the checkout 💚 growtropicals.com Also make sure to stay tuned over the next few days to see me and Sarah @ThePlantRescuer unbox the rescue box I got from them!
Loved this plant haul! Such beautiful plants! How wonderful that you Grandmother left you instructions to spend her gift on something you love. Such a smart lady! Plus it shows how important you were to her and how she loved you enough to give you her wise advice. Many thanks for a truly lovely video. Take care! 👌🪴🥰
I would try pinning the piper roots into small pots of compost the same way I would pin strawberry runners into small pots to create new plants. So wait until the roots take before snipping from the plant.
Claire this was a spectacular plant reveal. Your grandmother is just as excited for you as you are❤. Cant wait to see how you shower them with love and they grow showing their appreciation.
Just beautiful. Today is all about you, for me 😊. I’m watching your video of your bedroom tour. Did you ever find out about the noise coming out of the snake plant leaf? Was it stress? My first thought was that we are hearing the water being sucked up. Or she’s trying to drink but can’t because there’s to much algae making the water thick.
I use grow tropical a lot…they are really fantastic! Ha…I’m glad there is another person out there that looks at her plant order every day until it arrives 😁😁😁
Burle Marx fantasy is a very easy to take care of indoor plant. Mine has mature and it’s so beautiful. The leafs are huge and each leaf pattern is amazing .. it loves moss pole and love to climb
I have Geogenanthus peoppigii that has grown really big and bushy.. it’s quite easy to take care of.. make sure keep the soil moist and he loves humidity.. I love the ripple on the leaf and the red back on the leaf as well.. when they get bushy it looks amazing
I love the reasoning. 'I had cuttings but did not gave it my all, so i got a whole plant instead' :D using this on my man next time i need a plant hehe
You are absolutely right about that you have to treat yourself as a present for holidays you definitely owned to make yourself happy. Plus at the new place you need to have a new plans Plants are definitely incredible and gorgeous good luck with them stay happy be healthy peace .
Omg grow tropicals have a heckin’ sale on! Just bought a huge monstera standleyana variegata for £10.99! Been wanting one for ages! My wet stick is struggling and keeps dying back so I’ve bitten the bullet and bought a large plant. So excited!
I had a Geogenanthus poeppigii cutting, it looked and lived a lovely life in water. Once I planted, it didn't last long. Not sure what I did! Also called a searsucker plant, I think (type of fabric) It is a very beautiful plant. Good luck with it.
I have a small piper Sylvaticum. They push out leaves all the time! They sun stress to pink in the summer. One of my favourites. In my experience, they rot out quickly with too much humidity and mine seems to thrive on wilful neglect! Just don’t let it get really cold.
I always love watching plant unboxings! It's so exciting! I love your new aglonema. I love them too - I have several. I have a "juliette" which is very similar to the "cutlass" and it has just grown like crazy. I want to get a silver bay also. Love all your videos. Keep on with them please!
Omg i want a geogenanthus ciliatus. I can’t wait to see how your poeppigii turns out. I’ve made a boundary for myself that I order plants once a season (can buy more if I go to a store). I just received some plants for my winter splurge-and I’m setting up two philodendron “kingdoms.” I have the white kingdom with philo white Princess, white knight, and white wizard. The other kingdom has my philo pink Princess and eventually prince of orange and imperial red. I also got an alocasia azlanii and pink dragon, since my pink dragon form doesn’t seem to be growing. And I caved and got the philodendron brandtianum That piper is definitely on my wishlist. That looks a like a beautiful and well-developed specimen.
Hi claire and yoli! Such beautiful picks....I as well like a mixture of big and small plants....oooo that McDowell 😍😍 can't wait for the rehab unboxing....have an amazing week💚💚💚
Hi Claire, I have the Geogenanthus poeppigii you just bought - it's an easy plant. Keep it moist. Mine is in lower light, like you would put a fern in, but I'm sure medium light would be better.
Such an exciting haul!! All the plants look so healthy and beautiful, you definitely picked some good ones!! Very excited for the rescue unboxing to come :)
Hey Claire, You are like a child with a new box of Lego, wonderful to watch your new arrivals. My favourites of your haul are: 1st philodendron fantasy for its diminutiveness , 2nd the piper, 3rd the Geogenanthus, 4th the anthurium pendens only because of the strap like foliage... I instantly had to google geogenanthus because it looked to me like of the tradescantia family.... and in case you didn't already research, this is what I found of Wikipedia (I quote): "Geogenanthus poeppiggi belongs to the genus Geogenanthus of the flowering plant family Commelinaceae. Commelinaceae is a well defined family of 41 genera and about 650 species.[1] G. poeppiggi is placed under the subtribe Dichorisandrinae, within the tribe Tradescantieae." in this case you are better off letting it trail or place him in a trogh where it can ramble and root as it travels along. I'm so jealous right now, I'm going to have to purchase one as well, him and the "Philodendron Mr Tiny" - you see, I already named mine lol Thanks for sharing
That cutlass is gorgeous. Just a heads up… the geogenanthus is very dramatic. It will get very droopy when it needs water. It likes to stay moist and doesn’t require a lot of light. If you let it dry out too much the leaves crisp up.
My favourite method of propagation is in perlite) I tend to overwatering my plants and perlite is the only thing which allows me to do everything right. It holds the extent of water and in case I miss with watering too much, I always can use paper towels to dry it
Amazing I want a philodendron McDowell so bad also they are crawler plants so you might want to buy a long pot you should try Leca for this one it will grow better and less chances of root
So it was you that bought the last Aglaonema Cutlass, it just went out of stock as I was about to add it to my basket. What are the chances of that? I just lost mine to root rot as I went a bit overboard with the pest spray , lol. What a nice haul you've got, that McDowell looks gorgeous and the Piper Sylvaticum is a nice size. I wish you the best of luck with them and can't wait for the updates and the rescue box video.
I bought a geogenanthus ciliatus in September. It has been a problem child since I got it. The leaves turn crispy and drop. I hope yours does better. Great video, as always:)
I got one too, and it did the same, until I moved it to low light (a few feet away from a northern window), and now it thrives. I think geogenanthus need to be in pretty low light. It's the only way I got mine to stop crisping.
McDowell is super chill to grow... I have mine in no drainage in a samla box growing in charcoal and orchid bark 😂😂 I really need to give it sth less chonky but it honestly doesn't care and it's leaves are larger than my torso 😂😂
Omg… I’m going to have to blame you now hun, I’ve just gone and bought myself the philodendron McDowell from grow tropical 😅.. blimey very dangerous watching you nowadays 😂😂.. I can’t wait now.. Awhh keep up the good work… even though you are “dangerous “😮. P.s. shit I was so excited I totally forgot about the 10% off lol, that will learn me!
I would name the McDowell “Granny” and sit up all night long talking to her!!! God I miss my Grams! They are all in heaven, but this gives me an idea to name some of my favorites after them!

So satisfying, makes me so happy to watch your happiness

Thank you granny 😢 made me tear up ❤ sending you so much love 💗
The story about your granny was simply lovely!
Beautiful plants.
That feeling happened when I got my Joepii & it still hasn’t stopped for my Spiritus Sancti that I got last month.

Looks like a tiny dancer plant !!😊
I totally agree about the McDowell. I have wanted for years! I hope I can buy it one day

Burle Marx fantasy is a very easy to take care of indoor plant. Mine has mature and it’s so beautiful. The leafs are huge and each leaf pattern is amazing .. it loves moss pole and love to climb
I would recommend propagating with perlite! I’ve always had success with this media for props 🤗
Great selection!

Wow. What stunning plants! Love watching you get excited as you do your unboxing. Thanks for sharing these beauties 💚
Just used your code towards a wishlist plant of my own wooo so 😁

I just started to watch your videos today and I absolutley love them🪴
That Piper sylvaticum looks really gorgeous and amazing 😊😍🥰
The variety of colours on leaves is one thing, but I'm amazed at all of the different leaf textures. Thanks for the show and tell.
I ordered the same from them those Pipers!
I have just started watching and I AM SOOO EXCITED for you!

I got mine around that time too… she is no longer with us 😬 I don’t think I’ll try again

Good information video 📹
I think velveyness should be an official Jungle Haven adopted word 😍
Perlite would prop your plant💚

Beautiful plants! Do you repot them straightaway? And how do you clean the big leaves? Under shower or with a wipe or something?
I have no trouble propagating Piper crocatum and Piper methysticum in water. Keep trying!
beautiful plants where do you order have been writng the names down thank you
Watching
I would name the McDowell “Granny” and sit up all night long talking to her!!! God I miss my Grams! They are all in heaven, but this gives me an idea to name some of my favorites after them!
Such a great unboxing

Can you do a video on piper care? That’s one genus i struggle with.
Those pipers are hard to prop from cuttings. I've had no luck with the piper crocatum.😢
Damn, I love her voice
Are personal cars not a thing in the UK ?
Unlike the velvety leaf of the palli, the pendens is very leathery as well! Mine just gave me a 1m3 leaf and I’m just 🥵🥵🥵
Mantap
Word of caution, the BMF needs as high humidity as you can possibly give it! Even in high humidity I couldn't get it to size up at all 😔
The burle marx fantasy? Huh, guess I'm crossing it off my wishlist for the time being
Your videos are amazing!!
Grow tropicals have sold out of rescue boxes… 😢
first!
The pure joy when you saw the mcdowell 🥹❤
