I might do that soon. but if you follow the links in the description, you will see a couple of files explaining how to just directly install the drills you see in the video. In short though: you select a stroke to be played by checking the box. You select the stroke to be edited by clicking the text of the stroke. With a stroke selected you control where the ball launcher is positioned, how it is aimed (left, right/ up, down), what spin is on it (spin going from backspin to topsin and sidespin to make it a bit more real, skew you can ignore in most cases) and how fast the ball leaves the machine and at what interval. Then for all of these settings at the bottom there is a spread tab that allows you to set each value to randomly deviate from your selected value by x amount. There are a lot of ideas on how this can be improved and it will, but for now other parts are taking priority, but you are right that it could be a lot more intuitive to use (right now it kind of simulates how a real ball launcher would work)
@@AlexTTBCN Have you done this yet? I don't understand the ball machine interface. I choose vertical and horizontal position and it does absolutely nothing. I am trying to understand how to get the ball machine to land further back on the table. It does not change. I see the red lines when adjusting these angles, but the ball does nothing to correspond to it. The machine keeps dropping the ball short in the same position.
Thank you very much for this video! Former TT player here: just started playing, in big frustration (LOL) but a LOT, really A LOT of will to set it up!
Thank you for the video Alex, managed to get the .json drills uploaded onto my quest 2 to practice. Also as mentioned in another comment, a video on serving next would be good as I feel this is where my game is weakest. Cheeers again.
When will we have new rooms available in 11 VR? Have you seen the amazing environments in Supernatural? Something like this. I'd like to play on the Moon or on Mars (with Earth's gravity though).
It will help for sure. I imagine you can play irl almost every day right? That will help a lot in transferring your skills. If you notice in real life the ball just drops straight of the racket and has no grip at all, consider buying a beginners or slightly better racket at a specialized TT store. That way you can really play with spin as you do in the game. Good luck and let us know how it goes!
Yeah this and a lot of new ones that go with new lessons on this but mostly Eleven table tennis vr's official channel. ruclips.net/video/LmNNmQpLcyE/видео.html
question, the only problem i have with this game is how to grip the controller. Any tips on how to do that? i currently have my thumb on top of my grip button and index outside touching the trigger, i'm using the oculus quest 2 controller.
Basically you kind of need the 3d printed sanlaki adapter or a version of it. The quest 2 just doesn't sit well in the hand for table tennis. Visit the discord for more details and ways to get it. tiny.cc/vr11 For example this model is what I use: www.thingiverse.com/thing:477...
This is great! I notice that you play just with standard Oculus controller. Just wondering whether you've tried the 3D printed paddle adapter and what you think about it? I just got mine and my initial reaction is that it improved my forehand (I am a righty) quite a bit right away
I have tried the 3d printed one and the amvr one. Because of the position of the ring (on the bottom facing away from the headset) at a higher level abd with bigger swings the tracking is not ideal) but at slower speeds it works quite well and it does feel nice. I have the quest 2 now and have helped steer the development of the new adapters to have the ring in a better position. They have almost finished a final version which should have near perfect tracking. Hopefully someone will make a quest 1 version of the same model.
If you are starting out though being able to feel a real paddle form will help a lot for skill transfer. Also try to make sure the total weight is at least below 190 grams, ideally between 170-180 so you can get used to a realistic paddle weight.

Hi! It changes as the game gets better. For now I play bounce 50, spin 70 and throw 1.15-1.17. Check out our demomatch from last weeks doublestournament using the new tracking currently in beta on the quest 2. www.twitch.tv/alexttbarcelona/v/842729510?sr=a&t=26589s will hopefully be able to create a recap of the whole tournament sometime this year.
Hey Where can I find the specific file that matches the drills from the video? I'm confused by the many files in the gdrive shared. I'm looking at the drills config files on gdrive but I can't see any with the specific basic drills from this video. drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/1ymNUxfn2QiDUhzleZRoz4s_BYvhzc1Rl For instance, all files have "Deep Soft Topspin Stroke From Left To Right" as drill number 1.1 when in the video it shows Backhand Drive as 1.1
I'd advise following this new guide on how to get my drills. ruclips.net/video/LmNNmQpLcyE/видео.html basic drills start after SolidSlime's serves. If you open the menu with one of the strokes selected you should see a description of what to do so you can ignore the stroke names and just work with the numbers and the description.
The tracking is roomscale so if you want to hit it just above your pinkytoe you can do just that. If you have the space to let the ball drop that much of course.
Yes! If you follow the link to my website in the description, there is a reference to how to do it and the actual json file. Also if you have any questions about anything eleven related you are always welcome on the discord too discord.gg/BSMekM There is a specific thread about the drills too. The developers are working on an easier way to share drills, but it might still take a while.
I think now with mixed reality wireless on the Quest3 this is simply amazing.
could you make a video on how to setup the ballmachine?
the ballmachine user interface is very confusing to me.
thanks.

Well... I am trying these drills and learned that I might do alright at baseball.

Good idea! I will get to that soon I'm sure.

Awsome, you are great player
Thanks! The advanced drills should be even more interesting. Will try make them more impressive each time 🙂
Just what I was looking for! I have a competition at my school and this will help me become better in a short amount of time. Thank you for this!

When you return the ball are you looking only at the point on the table where you want the ball to land or do you look at the ball or bat ?

Do you find that the wire ever bothers you when you make quick movements?
Yes it does but I only played with cable for the video. I usually play native on the quest or quest 2 so no cable needed.
Does the game register balls above got feet? I want to be able to chop above my feet.
The tracking is roomscale so if you want to hit it just above your pinkytoe you can do just that. If you have the space to let the ball drop that much of course.
no forehand drive?
Are you using tenergy05?
Dignis 09c and 05. Never adapted to any tenergy, but dignics seems to suit me better.
Are these premade? is there a way for me to get them in my game without having to configure the ball machine?

Hi! Sorry. Didn't see this comment it seems. discord.gg/HnPeWVPNpc though I imagine you already made it in.
no more running after the ball ;-)
Exactly 🙂
what's the name of this game (PS4) ?
Does not exist yet on ps4 because of tracking issues. I expect the new psvr solution would be suitable. Not sure if the devs will port it to ps4.
