- Well now that Crunch Bandicoot is back in business, let's take a look at the next most beloved Post-Naughty Dog character, and her potential inclusion in Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled! What do you think of Nina? Would you like to see her in the game too?

Forgot to mention that Nina was actually supposed to debut in Nitro Kart instead of Twinsanity (or purple)

Tragedy still hurt that Tiny and the others didn’t appear in Tag Team Racing
She probably would have taken N.Gin's place on Team Cortex. N.Gin doesn't do anything much in the story mode and it would have preserved the type theming Team Crash has with the main character being balanced, the female having better acceleration but less speed, and a big strong guy with more speed but worse turning.

Not really, Tiny makes sense. He's the big, fast one on the team, to reflect Crunch being on the heroes team.
I don't think she would have replaced N.Gin or (worse) Tiny, maybe she was gonna replace N.Tropy?
This doesn't imply that N.Tropy wouldn't had been on the game, but maybe they were planning to have Tropy on Velo's team at one point?
Why would N.Tropy be on Velo's team? We have no reason to assume the two ever met before Earth was brought to Velo's attention and racers were beamed to Velo's arena, and Velo was threatening to destroy the planet. N.Tropy lives on Earth, so that presents a problem for him.

Also since it looks like she’ll be in CTR, hope we eventually get a Twinsanity remake. The more modern designs could fit with a little tweaking, and adding the cut content from it being rushed would be a really cool addition to the modern Crash portfolio.

I once asked the main director about a crash twinsanity remaster during a charity live stream for extra life, he said it was a cool idea but unlikely since they don't have most of the original code 😟

It's a shame you didn't really go into Tag Team Racing much. I think that's her best appearance with the most personality. She doesn't say anything in Twinsanity and everyone is just so different in Titans/Mutants. Tag Team Racing is why I love Nina.

@@eeveefennecfox TBH the mechanical hands ended up saving her life all through school and the events that happened right after again and again. And the things she learned or learns there do come in-handy in the future as everything got very complicated.

I love Nina's implied character arc circa Twinsanity of her being a trained villain but still holding a particular tenderness in her heart that longs to enjoy non-evil things, and that when Cortex enlisted her to save the world she jumped at the chance because it felt like the best of both worlds; She's making her uncle proud by beating the snot out of ants AND she's helping people by saving the world!
And while her lack of voice acting is likely due to the inability to find a good voice actor for her, I like the idea that she was just quiet because she'd spent so long without anyone to really relate to at the academy she didn't speak as much.
She didn’t talk because Twinsanity got rushed. A lot of content was cut.

Nina Cortex is my favorite character from the Crash franchise, and one of my favorite characters from anything ever. Thanks for the video! ^^

I subscribe to the theory that Crash N.Sane started a new timeline and Nitro Fueled is within that timeline. This gives them the opportunity to take the post-naughty dog characters and rework them to have better stories and personalities and in general be more fleshed out down the line. I really hope it's true, I would love to see characters like Crunch, Nina and N.Trance get more focus in future games in the series.

I find that scene so... hilariously stupid because Nina has Crash and Aku Aku in her clutches, she can make them do anything to get her to help, but instead she wants to see a stupid stunt. Wow. Great job Nina.

Cortex calling Nina a skank just flew by my( and my parents head thank god) since none of us knew english well enough when I was a kid. But how did they get away with that? It's not a bad word but it's used as one most of the time.
Also Titans version of Nina is best designe imo.
Interesting detail missing from this video: Nina Cortex was originally designed for Crash Nitro Kart! But she was left unused until Twinsanity.

Considering how literally everyone else is based on their pre-Titans designs and personalities, I'd say it's safe to assume she will, too. (give or take a few small details)
I rather they made a hybrid design, something slightly less hideous than the original and cuter like the new one but not totally changed either.
Yeah the Titan designs weren't exactly well recieved by folks (Crunch looked especially messed up and Tiny wasn't Tiny anymore) so I'm glad they went back to the Classic designs

Being real here, while I'm glad we dont have Titan models, but I would have loved more references to the game. Except for Coco's butter fetish, that was just weird.
I always liked how Nina was in Tag Team, same goes for basically every character. They had so much personality and dialogue outside of following the Main Plot.
nina's design in nitro fueled made me fall in love with this character she is so adorable
Anyone else think it wpuld be intresting for Nina to be one of those characters who start out evil, but she ends up becoming more of an anti-hero later? Considering the nature of her backstory and how Cortex took away her hands and tattooed a little n on her forehead just because she,was a fairly normal, but fairly happy girl
She has the potential for it. I mean, she did betray Cortex in Crash of the Titans, but her intentions were still evil. It would be really neat if in a future game, she found a reason to become good again, and possibly align with the Bandicoots, even if only temporarily.

In all honesty, if we’re ever going to get Crash 5, I hope Coco becomes the main star and Nina’s the main antagonist. Which would have huge potential for Nina’s past and character.
Basically, Nina deserves more than just being Cortex’s niece.
If Nina were to be added to nitro fueled, we need to tweak her design like crunch, let's see scale back the robotic hands to make it look a little elegant because she's a girl after all and make her buck teeth a little shorter, and combined elements from both post naughty dog and radical era designs because they both look great and I think we are all set
Nina's Titans/Mind Over Mutant design was my favorite design for her, IMO.

@LeopoldTheBrave there's also the fact she was plan character for CNK and that the people who worked on twinsanity were gonna originally work on it and she was gonna be in it.
You should make a video on other characters, like N. Trance, Zem & Zam, and maybe even other characters not yet confirmed for CTR Nitro Fueled, like the Tag Team Racing characters (Pasadena, Von Clutch, Chick n Stew, Willie Wumpa), Yaya Panda, Rilla Roo, etc.
I really like these three videos you've made about who some Crash characters are (that's how I learned about you), so it'd be nice to get a brief history on more characters ^_^

I think that Nina Cortex will be in the Nitro Fuel after Spyro and Friends, and I think she will debut with N. Biro and probably the Koala Kong or Komodo Moe, perhaps. I don't know if the Lab Assistance will be playable in the Nitro Fuel.

Cortex actually wasn't confused about if Nina was his daughter or niece since the creators were thinking on having her as his daughter but since the fans thought of her as his niece that's why she became his niece not daughter and that's why he's confused about if she's his daughter or niece also she still loves cute animals it says it in the twinsanity guide booklet

Technically, one of the parents is canonically one of Cortex's presumably-dead siblings. If we're going based on appearances, there's a chance that N. Tropy is her father.

N. Trance was N. Tropy's friend and they are sent by Uka-uka to defeat Crash in Crash 2: N-tranced. He have a mind control ability and brainwash Coco and Crunch, but failed to capture Crash. (and then Crash ruined their plans)
Zam and Zem is literally just Oxide's pal, just to back him up in CNK
