- In this video, I explain the top reasons that would make Artificial intelligence jobs not a good choice for you.
Artificial Intelligence jobs include roles like Machine learning Engineer, Deep Learning Engineer, Computer Vision Engineer, etc. In this video i discuss why you should not learn AI.
I am a computer vision engineer at Awiros and i personally was not aware of some of the ground realities, which I only discovered later. I hope to have cleared some of the misconceptions around this field through this video.

What are the math prerequisites? I have a bachelors in computer science, but I got it 20 years ago and havent used any of that math to any serious degree since. I’m about to finally start on a masters in computer science, so I’ll need to do some hardcore math review anyway. What should I focus on specifically if I wanted to specialize in AI? Discrete? Stats? Calculus?

I think you have nailed what I was thinking but if I where to go for a master's. What degree would you recommend? A mathematics degree or some type of programming degree. I was think mathematics but I have already graduated with a programming degree and am doing lite AI stuff but mostly front-end development as I am a recent college grad.

Great points! personally I just to want to have some good understanding of this so I can apply it to other fields. After all, we'd have focus in one area that we can actually master, AI is too general and every industry has its specifics.

Based on my experience AI on it's own is not feasible as whatever AI you implement is an implementation on top of another field as supplement
Best thing right now is to learn AI as a side Hustle and inside of going for AI engineering roles in companies, make your own startup. Believe me AI is the new electricity and it is our job to implement it in every field possible to reduce human effort.
That will decrease the jobs and will cause problems and issues for people. Think about others before.

Well yes the former is an actual role. ML is a subset of AI so an AI engineer could be expected to also have knowledge of fields like deep learning or natural language processing. But it varies from organization to organization, and now days AI Engineer and ML engineer will have pretty overlapping roles.

I don’t believe in that, I think that the thing with software engineers is that technology is going to become more automatic and easier to use for the user. But it will become more complex in the background, and that’s why we will still need software engineers in the future.
Don’t let you be scared by the people who say that, I bet in the future there will still be a high demand for programmers
Short answer :- No
Long answer :- Software Engineering will still be a relevant role and I think it will be the last one to get eliminated even if jobs started to eliminate due to AI.
Math expertise is not necessary as long has you are proficient hin logic.

It's true actually. You go anywhere. It's common sense. Ai jobs are not easy to get, because let's be honest, people don't even know what ai engineers do. Most jobs are in data science, if you call it ai, then go for it.

It is really difficult to get a pure AI Btech course in India. Only IITH offers it but its almost impossible to get into it cuz no. of seats in AI branch is pretty low.
You can go for CSAI in other colleges. Btw I'm also pretty confused rn so if you have some advice pls consider sharing.
I know you are showing the reality of this domain but I find you so much negative who discourages people to get into this field.
It's better only those people enter this field who keenly hold interest in it so I don't really find his vids to be misguiding as most of the students of my age target universities on the basis of their avg branch package .
