My daughter did 3rd grade tgtb and wow I was impressed. I hope you enjoy it like we did. ❤the books had me tesring up so many times and I felt so close to my daughter going though the entire curriculum. She is going to be 4th level this upcoming year and We both can't wait.
We have done levels 3-7 Language arts from The Good &The Beautiful. I have enjoyed going through them with my children and seeing them grow! We have also used their handwriting, science, and this year we will be adding in the typing.
Exactly what we are doing for 4th grade! I don’t see any need on rushing. I would rather her understand than move on to fast.
@@jaimep6865 yes!!
We just read The Kingdom of Kind and then Timothy of the 10th Floor as family read alouds and we all loved them oh so much including me!
@@rewise73 yay! I’m so excited!!
My son has started to really enjoy reading because of the books in this curriculum!!! Loving it so much! Our first year using it and I wish we had used it sooner.
@@indiachenoweth3944 ahhh that’s amazing!!
My 9 year old is doing level 3 this year too. We are going at his pace. ❤
The Good and the Beautiful is just amazing! My son is finishing off Level 2 right now for both Math and Language & Arts, and he is just enjoying it. I love how easy it is to understand and to facilitate the lessons. Will be using Level 3 for both for sure!
Do you have any recommendations on how to start Science for Level 3? He is using the 3 TGTB Little hands and hearts right now, and we’re halfway through so I need to plan for fall. Thank you so much!
Thank you for sharing
Don't skip ahead. My 13 year old is going into 8th grade and his math level is 7th and I'm OK with that because it is at his speed. He needs to really know the concepts before we move on 😊 he is 12th grade level with history and writing and he has a musician mind. He is so smart and I dont care if he is technically a grade behind in math
Level 3 LA of TGTB is my fav!!!!!
@@melissacapps8453 yay!! I’m so excited to start it!!
We are trying BJU press for math this year but if that doesn't workout good, our plan is to do tgtb next. We have done math u see and it is way too repetitive
Thank you
With the brain quest books would you suggest we do a little bit from each subject a day. Or are we supposed to start from the beginning and just go straight through that way?
😊
Hi everyone, I want to start homeschooling my two kids ( 3rd and 5th grade) I am very confused as to where to start. And I wanted to mow if long term independence study is considered homeschooling? Any advice on where to start will be appreciated it. I live in CA.
I recently saw your recommendations while you were teaching, grades 5-8. They seemed like great picks, but i see that you are using TGTB instead. I have been using TGTB as well, but was looking to see if we needed to make changes. Would you say your past recomendations are just "too much" for your homeschool day? Or reason why you arent using those in your own home?
@@vanessatapuala4003 I love TGTB wayyyy better-all one curriculum for language arts makes so much more sense!
@@vanessatapuala4003 I honestly would’ve used TGTB in the classroom if given the option! It covers everything in one!
I am very interested in the good and the beautiful, but I have heard mixed things about it. One was that is a Mormon curriculum. People are saying mixed things. And I don't have access to the Internet to ck it out. Help!
The owner is Mormon, but I haven’t seen anything weird in the curriculum. Biblical principals all over and as a family of Jesus we read the true Bible and keep our biblical studies real! The material from the curriculum is wonderful. We are really enjoying it.

Also just a thought… you’re on RUclips… you don’t have internet to the website for the curriculum though? You should if you’re able to access RUclips, no…???
I definitely agree on saying that there is no injected theology on the curriculum. We are very careful on exposing our boys to ideologies that do not align with our Christian faith. We believe that there is power in your hearing. Don’t be afraid of TGTB and besides, you as a parent is there to facilitate and filter anything you are not comfortable with. 😉 remember, curriculum is just tool. 😉
@@danahall1282 I second what has been commented! I have not seen anything that conflicts with the Bible!
Are you still using gather round this next year?
@@RiceTeaLover There are a few Gather Round units I’m looking to incorporate!
