Saw Sondre at the Ark in Ann Arbor, one of the best concerts I have ever seen! Amazing! Drove from Ohio just to hear this song live, was well worth it. Thank you Sondre.
I recently found this song and Sondre Lerche on Spotify and now I can't stop listening to this beautiful and touching song. It's on my playlist and I listen to it every day. And every time it touches me! Thank you Sondre for making such a beautiful song and touch so many hearts! I'm still exploring your other albums and songs, but so far this is my favorite!!!! Congratulations on your work, it's very diverse, beautiful and interesting!!! And congratulations for all the other musicians in this performance, it's amazing!!!!
Here we are, laughing at the sea Baby, you and me Kissing like lovers long deprived of human touch Whispering with two tongues Afraid of saying too much Why would I let you go? Here we are, burning down the sun Prisoners on the run Drowning our sorrows in another desperate embrace Pushing back anything that might get in our way Why would I let you go? And in my dreams I have the strength To not keep love at an arm's length And in my dreams I see myself the way you do And in my dreams I understand The value of love at hand And in my dreams I love you like I used to Here we are, stranded on a cloud The ocean's getting loud Aching for something to prolong this credulous view Asking the sunset for more crimson, violet and blue Why would I let you go? And in my dreams I have the strength To not keep love at an arm's length And in my dreams I see myself the way you do And in my dreams I understand The value of love at hand And in my dreams I love you like I used to Why would I let your love run out on me Here we are, lit up by the moon Babe, I spoke too soon Taking for granted all the love I cared to devour Spurning a heart so pure cause I can't master the power How could I let you go?
That rare instance that the live recording is better than the album version. Been listening to Sondre Lerche since the Two Way Monologue days. In my opinion this and Alone in the Night are his best songs.
I thank Spotify for introducing me to this beautiful song. I've been listening to it all day and... crying pretty much all day. A heartbreaking and very adult breakup song.
Perfection! I saw you at Portør the other day for the first time ever. I felt sad that the crowd there didn't allow the moments of silence in your songs to speak like they do in recordings like this, despite the wee venue. But it was still a lovely show! Thanks for your music, love you!
I just discovered this Norwegian genius thanks to "Dan in real life" movie and i wonder how i could not know this artist before, even though i have been to Norway couple of times.
Never though a song could attain this level of perfection in every way 😲 How can you not be the most happiest you ever been in your whole life when listening to this 🌻 Thank you. Tank you so much Sondre Lerche for bringing this beautiful masterpiece into existence. I will keep this song close to my ears, and even closer to my heart 🙏
Can’t wait for the new album! I scheduled my weekly therapy/life coaching session purposefully on the day your album releases. My plans for the day are to chat with my therapist and then binge listen to your album while chillin in my garden. It’s going to be a very cathartic self care day and I can’t wait 😂😝🌈
@@Jordan2k26 i never finished but heres a little of what i had INTRO Cmaj7sus Cmaj7 then play 3 then 2 on the A string VERSE Am, Am7/G, Fmaj7, Am7/E, D9, D9, and i forgot the rest
The whole song is done so well, the tune itself, the words, but then you put Sondre's voice into it along with an orchestra and you have one of my favorite songs ever. Sondre is such a talent, but I do not understand some of his other songs. It sounds like whoever produced them takes this incredible voice and wants to sabotage the song with instruments playing ridiculous notes, I just don't get it. This man should be very well known, give him the proper tools and his albums would hit the charts.
I still get goosebumps listening to this song. Quite honestly one of the best songs ever created. Te amo sondre
Angelic voice... what a talent ❤
TOTALLY NOT ABLE TO RESIST THIS SONG OF SUCH DEPTH, IMPLICATIONS, RELEVANCE-- ACHINGLY BEAUTIFUL!!!!
This is raw, beautiful, genuine, and much needed in today's world of "popular culture."
You don't need fame to have talent.
There needs to be a movie made for this song.
seconded
Agree!!!!!
I agree with you brother. The amount of emotions this song carries is out of this world.
I’m on it
Sondre Lerche, kindly release an instrumental version of this song. I in love with the violin/cello in this song.
Every time I see his performance I wonder how come he doesn't get 100 million views
That song is just PERFECT from beginning to end!
this will be my favorite song of the year!
Forever
This song and the performance needs more viewers!

Outstanding…
I can't tell yet if it's your best song ever Sondre, but it's without a doubt your most touching.
Wow, I haven't gotten chills like this from a new song in a long time. Cheers Sondre, you'll always be one of my favorite artists.
Blessed my ears...

I think this is the most magical song I've ever heard

Just perfect ♥️
im glad i can see his finger placement in this one haha
did you figure out the chord progressions? If you have, I'd love to know.
this album is not on a standard tune (based on his other song tutorial guitar video)
PLEASE if you figure out the tuning I would love to know it! I’m a beginner so as dumbed down as you can make it the better❤️
