This one minute Onshape Lesson provides a quick overview of sketching in the 2D sketch environment to be later converted to 3D features. Onshape is a free cloud based 3D modeling program used for engineering design and 3D printing.
Blue lines on the sketch screen indicate the entity is not fully constrained
With no command active, click on a blue entity and drag to find its degree of freedom
To fully constrain your base sketch it must be constrained to the sketch plane usually to the origin
In a sketch, a region turns gray when it is fully enclosed
Only fully enclosed regions can be used to create features

This was great! Thank you for showing this in such a quick video.

I really like the fast lesson. But i am stuck on one other thing about lines...Namely, what are the "dots" between "dots" or nodes. I don't know what to call them. In any case, if I have a blue line that has, say, three of these nodes and all I want are TWO (one at the beginning and one at the end), how do I get rid of the node in the middle? In your example in this video, you showed a shape with nodes (or whatever they are called) at the junctions where a new line begins and ends. But as I draw, I sometimes don't make a line long enough and to lengthen the line I somehow end up with a new "dot" that I don't want, so I need to know how to remove them.
    HELP please!
