Thanks for this video. Currently doing this on a 2009 Tundra 5.7L and it is frustrating! I’m having to do it without a lift so that adds to the challenge. I’ll hopefully finish tomorrow and get the old one out and the new one in
Dam u is the man on that one....tried the other 2 youtube ways...waste my time....took me 3 hrs and still in same spot...till i watch this one....5 min starter out...beast...thanks
Thanks for the video and information. This sure is a bear of s job. I’m halfway through mine it is fighting me every step of the way. I might have to lower the axle like you did. Take care and God bless.
You should note that this is for the 4x4 4wd starter. BTW some other video on this the guy said to take the starter out by taking the solenoid bolts out first and take it out in 2 parts. I think if that is the case you may not have to drop the transaxel then...but this is a guess. I need to do this on my truck and trying to educate myself before doing it.

I took me about 4 or 5 hours to do it on a 2018
